We shall fight on the hills。
We shall fight in the streets。
We shall fight blood and sweat and tears。
例如对人十分佩服,你说I admire him profoundly。
I take off my hat to him。

Pronunciation is the foundation of your English kingdom.

例如,反复朗读she sells sea shells on the sea shore,可以很好地辨别【S】和【∫】这两个极易混淆的发音,同时能品味到英语韵律的美。
Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. I am honored to stand before you today to discuss the topic of "Laughter is the best medicine." Laughter has always been regarded as one of the oldest and most effective ways to improve well-being and happiness. Today, I would like to share with you the reasons why laughter is essential in our lives and how it can bring numerous benefits to our physical, mental, and emotional health. To begin with, laughter has remarkable effects on our bodies. When we laugh, our body releases endorphins, which are often referred to as the "feel-good" chemicals. These endorphins can significantly reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure, boost the immune system, and even provide mild pain relief. Moreover, laughter also increases the intake of oxygen, which stimulates the heart, lungs, and muscles, resulting in better circulation and enhancing overall physical health.Furthermore, laughter serves as a powerful tool to improve our mental health. It has the ability to alleviate anxiety, depression, and other negative emotions. When we laugh, our mind is momentarily distracted from worries and negative thoughts, allowing us to experience a sense of joy and relief. Additionally, humor and laughter promote cognitive flexibility and creativity, as they encourage us to see situations from different perspectives and thinkin unconventional ways. This can enhance problem-solving skills and boost overall mental agility.Laughter also fosters stronger social connections and emotional well-being. It acts as a universal language that can bridge cultural and language barriers, bringing people together and creating a sense of unity. Laughing with others promotes a sense of camaraderie and trust, strengthens relationships, and creates bonds that can endure challenging times. Furthermore, laughter is contagious, and when we share laughter with others, it can spread positivity and uplift the mood of an entire group or community. Now, let's explore some practical ways to incorporate laughter into our daily lives. Firstly, it's essential to cultivate a sense of humor and be open to finding joy in even the simplest things. Surround yourself with positive and funny people, watch a comedy show, read humorous books, or even share funny anecdotes with friends and family. Secondly, don't be afraid to laugh at yourself. Embracing self-deprecating humor can lighten your own mood and make others feel more at ease around you. Lastly, try laughter exercises such as laughter yoga or laughter meditation. These therapeutic techniques involve intentional laughter, which has similar physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter. In conclusion, laughter truly is the best medicine that has the power to improve our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. By embracing humor and sharing laughter with others, we can experience countless benefits and create a happier and healthier life. So, let us remember to find joy and laughter in our daily lives, and always cherish the ability to share laughter with others. As the famous poet Victor Hugo once said, "Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face." Thank you.

I believe listening is powerful Medicine.Studies have shown it takes a physician about 18 seconds to interrupt a patient after he begins talking. It was Sunday. I had one last patient to see. I approached her room in a hurry and stood at the doorway. She was an older woman, sitting at the edge of the bed, struggling to put socks on her swollen feet. I crossed the threshold, spoke quickly to the nurse, scanned her chart noting she was in stable condition. I was almost in the clear.I leaned on the bedrail looking down at her. She asked if I could help put on her socks. Instead, I launched into a monologue that went something like this: "How are you feeling? Your sugars and blood pressure were high but they're better today. The nurse mentioned you're anxious to see your son who's visiting you today. It's nice to have family visit from far away. I bet you really look forward to seeing him."She stopped me with a stern, authoritative voice. "Sit down, doctor. This is my story, not your story."I was surprised and embarrassed. I sat down. I helped her with the socks. She began to tell me that her only son lived around the corner from her, but she had not seen him in five years. She believed that the stress of this contributed greatly to her health problems. After hearing her story and putting on hersocks, I asked if there was anything else I could do for her. She shook her head no and smiled. All she wanted me to do was to listen. Each story is different. Some are detailed; others are vague. Some have a beginning, middle and end. Others wander without a clear conclusion. Some are true; others not. Yet all those things do not really matter. What matters to the storyteller is that the story is heard — without interruption, assumption or judgment.Listening to someone's story costs less than expensive diagnostic testing but is key to healing and diagnosis.I often thought of what that woman taught me, and I reminded myself of the importance of stopping, sitting down and truly listening. And, not long after, in an unexpected twist, I became the patient, with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis at age 31. Now, 20 years later, I sit all the time — in a wheelchair. For as long as I could, I continued to see patients from my chair, but I had to resign when my hands were affected. I still teach med students and other health care professionals, but now from the perspective of physician and patient.I tell them I believe in the power of listening. I tell them I know firsthand that immeasurable healing takes place within me when someone stops, sits down and listens to my story. Love yourself. But I also know that it hasn't always been easy for you and Mom, and that as excited as you both are about that new puppy, it doesn't make up for all the time we've been apart. I know how much I've missed these past two years, and today I want to tell you a little more about why I decided to take our family on this journey. When I was a young man, I thought life was all about me-about how I'd make my way in the world, become successful, and get the things I want. But then the two of you came into my world with all your curiosity and mischief and those smiles that never fail to fill my heart and light up my day. And suddenly, all my big plans for myself didn't seem so important anymore. I soon found that the greatest joy in my life was the joy I saw in yours. And I realized that my own life wouldn't count for much unless I was able to ensure that you had every opportunity for happiness and fulfillment in yours. In the end, girls, that's why I ran for President: because of what I want for you and for every child in this nation.I want all our children to go to schools worthy of their potential-schools that challenge them, inspire them, and instill in them a sense of wonder about the world around them. I want them to have the chance to go to college-even if their parents aren't rich. And I want them to get good jobs: jobs that pay well and give them benefits like health care, jobs that let them spendtime with their own kids and retire with dignity.I want us to push the boundaries of discovery so that you'll live to see new technologies and inventions that improve our lives and make our planet cleaner and safer. And I want us to push our own human boundaries to reach beyond the divides of race and region, gender and religion that keep us from seeing the best in each other.Sometimes we have to send our young men and women into war and other dangerous situations to protect our country-but when we do, I want to make sure that it is only for a very good reason, that we try our best to settle our differences with others peacefully, and that we do everything possible to keep our servicemen and women safe. And I want every child to understand that the blessings these brave Americans fight for are not free-that with the great privilege of being a citizen of this nation comes great responsibility. That was the lesson your grandmother tried to teach me when I was your age, reading me the opening lines of the Declaration of Independence and telling me about the men and women who marched for equality because they believed those words put to paper two centuries ago should mean something. She helped me understand that America is great not because it is perfect but because it can always be made better-and that the unfinished work of perfecting our union falls to each of us. It's a charge we pass on to our children, coming closer with each new generation to what we know America should be.I hope both of you will take up that work, righting the wrongs that you see and working to give others the chances you've had. Not just because you have an obligation to give something back to this country that has given our family so much-although youdo have that obligation. But because you have an obligation to yourself. Because it is only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you will realize your true potential. These are the things I want for you-to grow up in a world with no limits on your dreams and no achievements beyond your reach, and to grow into compassionate, committed women who will help build that world. And I want every child to have the same chances to learn and dream and grow and thrive that you girls have. That's why I've taken our family on this great adventure.I am so proud of both of you. I love you more than you can ever know. And I am grateful every day for your patience, poise, grace, and humor as we prepare to start our new life together in the White House.Love, Dad。
