中山大学新华学院外国语言文学系一、系部简介外国语言文学系创办于2005年(下设大学英语教研室),目前在校生736人。
在办学过程中始终坚持“立人为本、因材施教、注重应用、改革创新”的教学理念,培养英语专业基础扎实,知识面宽广,素质优良的应用型人才。
全系现有专任教师40人,副教授以上职称的教师约占30%,来自中山大学等国内外重点大学毕业硕士以上学历的教师占85%,担负全院大学英语和英语专业的所有基础课、专业课及第二外语德、日语等课程的教学任务。
二、办学特色从系主任到每位青年教师都十分重视教学经验的积累和教学方法研究与改革。
近年来,外语系坚持召开教学工作研讨会,探讨英语教学理念与方法,不断提高英语教学水平,培养出一批学生喜爱的青年教师鼓励学生在重视英语“听、说、写、读、译”等基础训练及应用能力提高的同时,多选修其他学科、专业开办的公共选修课,使自己博学多才;鼓励学生积极参加各种社会实践,积累工作经验,提高自身在社会中的竞争能力外语系学生活动精彩纷呈,近年来成功举办了英语演讲比赛、英语话剧比赛、英语辩论赛、电影原声配音大赛等大型学术活动,深受同学们的喜爱。
由学生自办的系报《Young Explorers》成为学生们展示风采、集思广益,促进学习交流的平台全国高校英语专业统一考试的通过率,都远高于同类型院校英语专业的平均通过率。
三、就业情况全系历年平均就业率为96%。
整体就业质量相对较高,有不少毕业生进入国家机关、外事、经贸、文化、新闻出版、教育、旅游、中小学等单位,从事公共关系、国际商务、涉外管理、涉外事务以及英汉笔译和口译、教学培训等工作。
每届毕业生中均有多位同学升入国内外知名大学进一步深造。
四、系主任简介系主任:林烈城,中山大学教授。
1982年至今长期从事高校外语教学工作,曾任联合国教科文组织(法国巴黎)英文翻译、美国圣地亚哥州立大学访问学者;曾历任广东省大学英语教学研究会副理事长、理事长。
先后获省级优秀教学成果二等奖及中山大学优秀教学成果奖。

新理念本学期进行了更新,必须安装客户端才能进行测试,11级的同学可以尝试自动升级,如果不能自动升级,请重新下载客户端安装升级。
客户端下载地址是东校区/npels 南校区和珠海校区的下载地址是/npels.打开网页链接的时候,点击下载最新客户端与控件,这个时候下载的学习大厅就是最新版本的安装包。
有些同学因为安装了迅雷,在下载的时候可能会出现获取不到安装包的情况,这个时候请先卸载掉迅雷,然后直接通过ie下载。
下载下来的文件大小大概是166M(174,459,306字节),名称为NPELSPluginSetup.rar 文件类型为rar压缩包文件,右键点NPELSPluginSetup.rar这个文件,然后选择解压文件,在文件夹NPELSPluginSetup里会出现一个setup_v1.1.0.107(120904).exe的文件,这个就是最新的新理念安装包,双击setup_v1.1.0.107(120904).exe,出现如下画面当出现这个画面的时候,可以修改安装目录,点更改,出现如图所示的画面这个时候,尽量只修改C为D或者E,保持后面的目录不变。
如果C盘空间足够大,可以按照默认路径安装。
点确定,再下一步,会到下面这个画面东校区的同学把192.168..1.1改成202.116.65.95 如下图所示珠海校区和南校区的同学把192.168..1.1改成202.116.65.96 如下图所示点击下一步,然后会出现如下图所示,这个时候尽量不要修改安装目录,或者只修改C为D或者E或者其他盘符,然后选择完整安装就可以。
出现如下提示再点下一步,然后点安装,一般安装完成以后就可以使用了。
如果在安装的时候忘记修改服务器地址,打开学习大厅客户端的时候,会有如下提示:这个时候可以在开始菜单,程序里找到学习大厅,点击客户端连接设置,打开以后出现如下图所示这个时候只把192.168.1.1修改为202.116.65.95 (东校区),如下图所示或者把192.168.1.1修改为202.116.65.96 (珠海校区,南校区),如下图所示几个常见问题:1.必须安装客户端才能做测试吗?答:必须安装,否则无法测试。

大学英语公共选修课的体系与操作摘要:大学英语教学改革对大学英语的课程体系提出了新的要求。
开设大学阶段的英语选修课是满足这种教学改革要求的一个有效的措施。

中山大学大学英语海外暑期课程(美国迈阿密大学)修读方案一、开设目标为了培养具有国际视野的创新人才,促进和国外高校的交流,推动大学英语教学,外国语学院外语教学中心在总结去年海外暑期课程的基础上,继续举办大学英语暑期海外交流项目(美国迈阿密大学),组织约30-40名本科学生于2017年7月16日至8月12日赴美国俄亥俄州迈阿密大学进行为期四周的暑期课程学习。
本暑期班旨在增进中山大学和迈阿密大学的学术交流,培养熟练外语交际能力和熟悉美国社会与文化的国际型人才,同时促进外国语学院外语教学中心的“大学英语”、“美国社会与文化”、“英语学术阅读与写作”以及“英语学术阅读与写作II:修辞与体裁”等课程的建设。

去过两次,不过白天讲英语的感觉总没有晚上那种朦胧感。
华南师范大学英语角,每周二、五晚21点,在华南师大的中心花园举行。
算比较有影响力的英语角,有空我会经常去,人数80-100人左右,有心的话会有一些surprises.也不乏一些高手在里面。
中山大学惺亭英语角,每周三晚19:00-23:00,在中山大学图书馆西门对面惺亭进行。
去过几次,感觉还不错。
