最开始扶植南越的美国总统是Dwightd David Eisenhower(德怀特·戴维·艾森豪威尔);John Fitzgerald Kennedy(约翰·菲茨杰拉德·肯尼迪)开始支持在越南作战;林登·约翰逊将战争扩大。

Save One People with Lives of Eight PeopleSaving Private Ryan, a film related to World War II, directed by Spielberg, received critical acclaim upon screening. The upsurge of Saving Private Ryan is not only because it is realistic visual impact, what is more important, this film led to an argument about lives.During World War II, the U.S. and U.K. army landed in Normandy on June 6, 1944. To insure the victory, Private James Ryan (Matt Damon), and his troops --101st Airborne Division, are airdropped behind the German front-lines. Unfortunately, all his three brothers were killed in action at the same time. In order to prevent the unfortunate mother from losing all her four sons, the U.S. command decided to send a special squad to look for James Ryan and take him back safely.John Miller (Tom Hanks) was chosen as the caption of the rescue squad. He hurried to pick several excellent soldiers and a staff officer who could speak German and French as the squad members. When other soldiers were resting, Miller’s eight-member squad began to look for Ryan, who was in the unknown area controlled by Germans. When facing all kinds of dangers and death of teammates one by one, the squad members gradually began to doubt the rationality of this task. Is it worthy of saving one soldier at the risk of losing eight soldiers’ lives? The journey of salvation tested every member’s value of human nature. After experiencing lots of difficulties, the squad found Ryan in a battlefield. But the brave soldier Ryan who had a strong sense of responsibility was not willing toleave his comrades in the battlefield. So the squad decided to fight with the large number of enemies ahead with Ryan and other soldiers. As a result, six people in the eight-member squad died.Miller was the last man who died in the squad, before his death, Miller entrusted to Ryan: Earn it. What can be understood as" Keep living "or" It is worth saving you”. In order to ensure this action to be worthy, Ryan must keep living and have a good and meaningful life. Miller wanted to tell his died comrades and himself, “This is all worthwhile!”It can only happen in the war that six people’s lives in exchange for the life of one person. War changes people’s value of life. The soldiers kill enemies or save comrades only to complete their tasks, and then, go back home. Some media also talked about this controversial issue.According to Mark Heisler in his Los Angeles Times review entitled “The mission is a man. In the Last Great Invasion of the Last Great War, The Greatest Challenge for Eight Men was Saving One. There were only one man left in the family, and the mission was to save him. This comment makes a good conclusion of the theme of Saving Private Ryan. Why should these eight men save one soldier at the risk of death? These sentences give explanations. In order to allow more people to get out of the war and go back home, to achieve freedom and enjoy the colorful life, the squad members defended their positions. The friendship in the war and brotherhood are also bright points in the film. There is a wonderful line in the film: To the world, you are a soldier; to your mother, you are the whole world. If you insist that this task is not worth, from now on, live carefully, become a good person, be kind to others, and you would learn more from this film.(601 words)。

1. The largest and most ambitious military expedition in history was the invasion of Normandy in northern France by British, American and Canadian forces that took place in the summer of 1944. Even nature played a role.2.It took more than a year for military planners to orchestrate every movement of troops, artillery, ships and aircraft and to set everything in place for the move that was to open up a second front in Europe. This would liberate France and way for the final assault on Germany itself.

The Soldier Ryan English EssayIn the annals of military history, there are countless tales of heroism and sacrifice that have captivated the hearts and minds of people around the world. One such story is that of Private James Francis Ryan, a young American soldier whose extraordinary courage and resilience in the face of adversity have become the stuff of legend. This essay will delve into the life and exploits of this remarkable individual, exploring the pivotal role he played in the Allied victory during World War II and the lasting impact of his remarkable journey.Born in the small town of Adamsboro, Minnesota, in 1920, James Ryan was the youngest of four siblings, raised by a hardworking family with deep roots in the American heartland. As a young man, he exhibited a strong sense of patriotism and a desire to serve his country, and when the United States entered the war in 1941, he eagerly enlisted in the Army, determined to play his part in the fight against the Axis powers.Assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, Ryan underwent rigorous training, honing his skills as a paratrooper and preparing for the challenges that lay ahead. In the early hours of June 6, 1944, he found himself among the thousands of Allied troops who descended upon the beaches of Normandy, France, in the historic D-Day landings. Facing a hail of enemy fire and treacherous terrain, Ryan and his comrades fought their way inland, their mission to secure key strategic objectives and pave the way for the broader Allied advance. It was in the days and weeks that followed that Ryan's extraordinary courage and resilience would be tested to the limit. During the fierce battle for Carentan, he was separated from his unit and found himself alone, deep behind enemy lines. Undaunted, he fought his way through the German-occupied countryside, evading capture and ultimately rejoining his fellow soldiers, his determination and resourcefulness having saved his life.As the war raged on, Ryan's exploits continued to inspire those around him. At the Battle of Normandy, he distinguished himself through his bravery and leadership, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow soldiers. His actions during the Battle of the Bulge, where he played a crucial role in the defense of Bastogne, further cemented his reputation as a true hero of the war.But it was in the final days of the conflict that Ryan's story wouldtake an even more poignant turn. As the Allies pushed deeper into Germany, Ryan received the devastating news that his three brothers had all been killed in action. Devastated by the loss, he nevertheless remained steadfast in his commitment to the mission, driven by a sense of duty and a desire to honor the memory of his fallen siblings. In the closing days of the war, Ryan's unit was tasked with the solemn duty of securing a vital bridge over the Elbe River, a strategic objective that would pave the way for the final push into the heart of Nazi Germany. As the battle raged, Ryan found himself once again separated from his comrades, facing overwhelming enemy forces. Outnumbered and outgunned, he fought with a ferocity born of his grief and determination, ultimately securing the bridge and ensuring the safe passage of Allied troops. For his actions on that fateful day, Ryan was awarded the Medal of Honor, the highest military decoration bestowed upon American soldiers. But the true significance of his story lies not in the accolades or the battlefield exploits, but in the profound personal journey he undertook in the face of unimaginable loss and adversity. In the aftermath of the war, Ryan struggled to come to terms with the immense sacrifices he and his family had made. He returned home a changed man, haunted by the memories of the battles he had fought and the loved ones he had lost. Yet, despite theemotional scars, he remained steadfast in his commitment to honoring the memory of his fallen comrades, dedicating his life to serving his community and advocating for the rights of veterans.Today, the story of James Francis Ryan stands as a testament to the indomitable human spirit, a shining example of the courage, resilience, and selflessness that have defined the greatest generation of Americans. His journey has been immortalized in film and literature, inspiring countless individuals to strive for greatness in the face of adversity and to never forget the sacrifices made by those who have served their country. As we reflect on the legacy of this remarkable soldier, we are reminded of the profound impact that a single individual can have on the course of history. Through his actions, Ryan not only played a pivotal role in the Allied victory but also left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all those who have been touched by his story. In a world that often seems consumed by darkness and division, the story of the Soldier Ryan stands as a beacon of hope, a reminder that even in the face of the greatest challenges, the human spirit can triumph and that true heroism lies not in the pursuit of glory, but in the willingness to sacrifice everything for the greater good.。
I love reading military books because they provide me with a deep insight into the strategies, tactics, and history of warfare. One of my favorite military books is "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. This ancient Chinese military treatise has timeless wisdom on how to win battles and outsmart the enemy. The book has taught me valuable lessons on leadership, decision-making, and the importance of understanding the terrain.Another military book that I enjoy is "Band of Brothers" by Stephen E. Ambrose. This book tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, from their training in Georgia through their participation in major actions in Europe up until Japan's capitulation and the war's end. The book offers a gripping account of the bravery and camaraderie of soldiers during World War II.I find military books to be not only informative but also inspiring. They often depict the resilience and courage of soldiers in the face of adversity. Reading about their experiences motivates me to overcome my own challenges and strive for success.

These insignias were first seen in World War II, and can still be seen on 101st Division soldiers today. 327th: Clubs (♣) (Currently worn by the 1st Brigade Combat Team) 501st: Diamonds (♦) (Currently 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment is part of the 4th Brigade (ABN), 25th Infantry Division in Alaska.)

The 101st Airborne Division — the "Screaming Eagles"— is a U.S. Army modular infantry division trained for heliborne air assault operations. During World War II, it was renowned for action during the Normandy Landings and in the Battle of the Bulge. During the Vietnam War, the 101st Airborne Division was redesignated first an airmobile division, then later as an air assault division. For historical reasons, it retains the "Airborne" tab identifier, yet does not conduct parachute operations at a division level. Many modern members of the 101st are graduates of the U.S. Army Air Assault School, and wear the Air Assault Badge, but it is not prerequisite for assignment to the division. The division's headquarters are at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is the only U.S. Army division with two aviation brigades.
