三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Show a picture of an earthquake and lead the topic about the earthquake.
【设计意图】通过引导学生谈论地震，引入话题。

Step 2 Pre-reading
Show the pictures of Taiwan earthquake and get Ss to predict the order.
【设计意图】通过将图片排序，引导学生初步了解故事发生的顺序，培养学生逻辑思维能力。

Step 3 While-reading
1. Read the passage and put the pictures into right order.
【设计意图】通过读文章并给图片排序，检测学生的读前预测结果，同时了解故事的梗概。

2. Read paragraph by paragraph and complete the forms to get what Jimmy did/saw/heard/felt.
【设计意图】通过设置不同的阅读活动，帮助学生从整体到细节，再深入局部，获取相关信息，为学生深层次的讨论活动做好准备。

Step 4 Post-reading
1. Listen to the recording and read the passage loudly.

2. Discuss the questions and then learn some tips in an earthquake.
3. Make an interview between reporter and Timmy.
