Be动词的一般过去时
Be动词的一般过去时表示过去某个时间存在的状态，通常和yesterday， 时间+ago，last+时间，just now等表示过去的时间状语连用。

Be动词的一般过去时
肯定句： 主语+was/were+其他. I was at home yesterday. 我昨天在家。
We were at school yesterday morning. 我们昨天上午在上学。
否定句： 主语+was/were +not+其他.
was not = wasn’t were not = weren’t
He was not /wasn’t in Guang’an last year. 他去年不在广安。
用法口诀：
I 是 was, you 是 were. was跟着 he , she , it. 单 数 、不 可 数 用 was 复数用 were, were, were.
• —Yes，they were. 是的，他们在上学。
• —No，they weren’t. 不，他们没有。

• 特殊疑问句： • 特殊疑问词+was /were+主语+其他? • Where were you the day before yesterday?
你前天去哪了？ • Who was in the room just now?
两天前你们在家吗?

一般疑问句的回答： 肯定式：Yes，主语+ was/ were.
否定式：No，主语+wasn’t/weren’t.
注意： 主语若是名词等，要用其的代词形式。

They were not/weren’t in Beijing last night. 他们昨晚不在北京。
