Do you know about the word “duang”? Have you heard it? It is so new that it does not appear in the dictionary. But it has already spread rapidly across China. It has caused 312,000 discussions among 15,000 users. On Baidu, which is the biggest online search engine in China, it has been looked up almost 600,000 times. It has been noticed in the West, too. Parapsychologists(心灵学家) say that humans have a natural ability to sense when someone is looking at them. To research whether such a “sixth sense” really exist s or not, Robert Baker, a psychologist(心理学家) at the University of Kentucky, did two experiments.
In the first one, Baker sat behind unknowing people in public places and stared at the backs of their heads for 5 to 15 minutes.
