An Unforgettable English Party
Last week, our English teacher Ms. Roberts announced that we were going to have an English party to celebrate finishing Unit 3 in our textbooks. I was so excited! An English party sounded like a ton of fun.
Ms. Roberts said the party would be a great way for us to practice our English skills in a relaxed environment. She asked us all to prepare something to share at the party - we could sing a song, perform a skit, read a poem or short story, give a presentation on something we're interested in, or anything else creative in English.
I spent days trying to decide what I should do for the party. At first, I thought about singing a song, but I get really nervous performing in front of people. Then I considered doing a magic show, because I've been practicing some simple card tricks lately. In the end, I decided to write and perform an original comedic
skit about a talking dog. I'm quite silly so I thought the class would enjoy a funny story.
The day of the party finally arrived and I could barely sit still during our regular classes, I was so eager for the fun to begin! After lunch, we all gathered in the cafeteria which had been decorated with English words, phrases, flags of English-speaking countries, and other English-themed decor.
Ms. Roberts started off the party by evaluating our progress in Unit 3. She said she was very impressed with how much our vocabulary had grown and how we were able to use more complex sentence structures. She complemented the class on our hard work.
Then it was the fun part - the performances and activities! We pulled names from a hat to determine the order. My friend Jessica went first. She did a PowerPoint presentation all about her favorite soccer team, the Las Vegas Lights. She spoke only in English and did an awesome job explaining all the positions, rules, and strategies of soccer.
Next up was Michael who is a brilliant artist. He did a fascinating live drawing demonstration, narrating in English as his artwork took shape right before our eyes on a large poster board. His drawing of a magical forest scene was breathtaking.
One by one, we each took a turn. Claire sang a lovely rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." The twins Max and Alex performed a hilarious skit where they mixed up lots of similar English words like"borrow"and "burrow" with comedic results. Ethan taught us some cool dance moves and we all got on our feet.
Finally, it was my turn and I took a deep breath before launching into my skit about Waldo, the talking dog. I tried to be as animated and silly as possible, putting on different voices for Waldo and his owner. The class cracked up when Waldo complained to his owner about having to eat smelly canned dog food. By the end, my face hurt from smiling and laughing so much.
After the performances, Ms. Roberts had planned some fun party games. We played an English vocabulary version of Picture Pictionary, trying to get our teammates to guess words by drawing them. We also competed in English tongue twisters, seeing who could say things like "Six stick crickets" or "Unique New York" the clearest. Layla was the undisputed tongue twister champion!
For snacks, Ms. Roberts had a wonderful spread of foods from different English-speaking countries. We munched on
Canadian poutine, English scones with clotted cream, Australian meat pies, American apple pie, and Indian samosas. The samosas were my absolute favorite - I had three!
As we ate, Ms. Roberts turned on some music and we watched fun scenes from movies and TV shows in English with the subtitles on. I recognized scenes from Harry Potter, Friends, The Simpsons, and more. Watching that really made me want to improve my English listening comprehension.
Towards the end of the party, Ms. Roberts announced that she had one final surprise for us. She had brought in gifts - English books, games, and other prizes! We each got to spin a wheel to determine what prize we won. I was super excited when I won a cool English workbook filled with vocabulary puzzles, writing prompts, and reading comprehension exercises.
On our way out of the party, Ms. Roberts congratulated us all on our hard work and improvements in English. She thanked us for our creativity and enthusiasm during the party. I couldn't stop smiling the whole walk home, replaying the day's fun in my mind.
An English party was such a brilliant way to get practice using English in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. We were able to be creative, have fun with our friends, and learn about
different cultures all at the same time. I'm already looking forward to the next Unit celebration! Maybe I'll perform a magic show...

An English Party to Remember!
Last week, our English class had the most awesome party ever! It was all about practicing our English skills while having tons of fun. I've been studying English since I was really little, but this party made me extra excited to keep learning.
First up was the "English Talents" show. A bunch of us got up on the little stage at the front of the classroom to show off our English abilities. Marco did an impressive job reciting a super long tongue twister without messing up once! "She sells seashells by the seashore" – he nailed it. Then Ling sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" beautifully in perfect English. I summoned up all my courage and volunteered to tell some English jokes. Thankfully everyone laughed instead of throwing rotten tomatoes at me!
After the talents, we split into teams for some epic English games. My team had to put together a crazy themed outfit using only materials we found in the classroom. We created "The Ruler
Queen" by taping rulers all over Sara's clothes and making her a crown out of paper clips. The other team made "Mr. Backpack" which was just Miguel wearing about ten backpacks! We all paraded around showing off our weird outfits. Next up was an English vocabulary relay where we had to run back and forth between our teams acting out words for points. Luca was the star of that one with his hilarious miming skills.
Then it was craft time! We made all kinds of fun
English-themed crafts and decorations. I particularly liked the "All About Me" pennant banners we designed. We had to decorate paper pennants with our names, self-portraits, and words describing our personalities and interests – all in English of course. Hanging up everyone's unique pennants really brightened up our classroom. The alphabet letter stamps were cool too. We spelled out words and messages by stamping the letters over and over again on long strips of paper to hang up.
After all that energetic activity, it was time for refreshments –complete with an English afternoon tea party! Our teacher had a whole spread of tiny sandwiches, bite-sized cakes and pastries, cookies, and pitchers of lemonade and iced tea. We all sat around sipping our beverages and nibbling on the treats while practicing polite English dinner conversation. I got to use
phrases like "Please pass the sugar" and "Would you care for more tea?" I felt so sophisticated!
The grand finale was the English video premiere we had been working on leading up to the party. Every student had to make a short video introducing themselves and sharing their hobbies, dreams for the future, favorite things, etc. – all in English of course. We watched everyone's videos together and it was amazing to see how creative everyone got! Elena's video was my favorite because she did her whole introduction while riding a unicycle. Now that's talent!
All in all, it was such a memorable and immersive way to practice our English skills. The party definitely made the language feel more fun and alive rather than just words in a textbook. I can't wait for the next English extravaganza our teacher has in store for us! Parties like these make me even more motivated to continue mastering English. Who knew learning could be such a blast?

The Best English Party Ever!
Hooray, our class just had the coolest English party last Friday! It was all part of learning the new unit on parties and
celebrations in our English textbook. Mrs. Jones, our amazing English teacher, always makes learning fun with creative activities like this party. I'm going to tell you all about the awesome games, yummy treats, and unforgettable experiences we had. Get ready for an epic tale!
The party preparation started a week earlier. We all had to sign up for different party roles and responsibilities. I was lucky enough to get picked as one of the party planners along with my best friends Jessica and Michael. The three of us spent our recesses huddled together, whispering ideas and making plans. As party planners, we got to decide on the activities, decorations, and snacks. We made sure to include all the vocabulary words from the unit like "balloons", "banners", "party favors", and
"piñata". Boy, were we excited!
When the day of the party finally arrived, we got to class extra early to start decorating. We blew up a rainbow of balloons and tied them to the chair backs. Next, we strung up some colorful paper banners with messages like "Let's Party!" and "Yay English!" The room looked so festive and fun. Mrs. Jones even let us play music which really pumped up the party atmosphere.
As our friends started arriving, their eyes went wide with amazement. "Wow, this is going to be the best party ever!" Sarah
exclaimed. I felt pride swelling up knowing we had created this exciting vibe. Once everyone was there, the party could officially begin!
The first game we played was "Pop the Balloon". Mrs. Jones had blown up balloons with little papers inside containing either a word we needed to act out or a funny challenge to do. Watching my classmates mime words like "present" and "cake" while the rest of us shouted out guesses was so hilarious. We roared with laughter when Tommy had to crawl around barking like a puppy dog for his challenge. Games like this really reinforced our new vocabulary.
After that pulse-pounding competition, it was time for arts and crafts. We made colorful party hats and masks out of construction paper, glitter, stickers and more. I crafted a jester's hat with dangly bells at the ends. Jessica's hat looked like a giant sombrero and Michael made a superhero mask with 3D wings sticking out. Decked out in our creations, we looked like we had just stepped out of a crazy costume party!
While we had been crafting, Mrs. Jones had set up a snack station at the back of the room. My mouth started watering when I saw the spread of treats - cookies shaped like balloons and confetti, squeezable yogurt tubes, and crunchy vegetable
sticks with ranch dip. But the pièce de résistance was the huge piñata shaped like a circus tent! We all cheered when it was unveiled.
Mrs. Jones picked a few kids at random to go first at whacking the piñata while the rest of us formed a circle around them chanting, "Smash it, crash it!" Jorge went first but his blindfolded swings kept missing despite our directions like "A little to the left!" When it was finally Jessica's turn, she took a mighty underhand swing and CRAAACK! Candies and small toys rained down as the piñata split wide open! We all dove in like a piranha feeding frenzy, grabbing as many goodies as we could. I ended up with a yo-yo, stickers, jelly beans and a kazoo! Best
piñata loot ever.
After re-energizing with snacks, it was game time again. This time we played "Pass the Parcel" which was basically hot potato but with a twist. Mrs. Jones had wrapped up a little prize in many layers of tissue paper. We passed it around in a circle to music and whoever was holding it when the music stopped had to unwrap one layer. Tension mounted as the parcel got smaller and smaller until finally there was just one tiny box left. It was down to Jayden and Marissa intensely glaring at each other. When Jayden ripped off the last layer, out tumbled a cute teddy
bear keychain! The class roared with excitement and he did a victory lap waving the bear over his head.
What an adrenaline rush! I still had to catch my breath from all that game pandemonium when suddenly Mrs. Jones announced it was time for one last activity - karaoke! She had prepped a little stage area at the front with a mic, disco light, and song binders. We could go up solo or with friends to sing any of the English pop songs and show tunes in the books. Brave Michael was the first to take

An Unforgettable English Party
Hey there! My name is Emily, and I'm a fifth-grader at Maple Grove Elementary School. Recently, our English teacher, Mrs. Smith, organized the most amazing English party for our class, and I can't wait to share all the fun details with you!
It all started a few weeks ago when Mrs. Smith announced that we would be having an English party to celebrate our progress and hard work in learning the language. We were all thrilled and couldn't contain our excitement! She told us that the party would be a great opportunity to practice our English skills in a fun and engaging way.
The preparations for the party were just as exciting as the event itself. Mrs. Smith divided us into groups, and each group was responsible for a different aspect of the party. My group was in charge of decorations, and we had a blast coming up with creative ideas to transform our classroom into a vibrant, English-themed wonderland.
We made colorful banners with English words and phrases, cut out paper chains with vocabulary words, and even created a photo booth area where we could take silly pictures with props like oversized glasses and fake mustaches. It was so much fun working together and letting our creativity shine!
The day of the party finally arrived, and our classroom looked absolutely amazing. The other groups had done an incredible job too. The food team had prepared delicious snacks like mini sandwiches, fruit kebabs, and colorful cupcakes, all with English labels. The entertainment team had put together a playlist of upbeat English songs and planned fun games and activities for us to enjoy.
As soon as we stepped into the classroom, we were greeted by a sea of colorful decorations and the upbeat rhythm of English music. Mrs. Smith welcomed us with a big smile and
complimented us on our hard work. She then introduced the party's theme: "Around the English-Speaking World."
The first activity was a language scavenger hunt, where we had to solve clues and riddles in English to find hidden items around the classroom. It was a great way to practice our reading and problem-solving skills while having a blast with our classmates.
Next up was the "English Cafe," where we got to order drinks and snacks using English phrases. The food team had gone all out, creating menus and even dressing up as waiters and waitresses. Ordering a "chocolate milkshake" or a "cheese and tomato sandwich" in English was both challenging and fun!
After refueling with some tasty treats, we moved on to the "English Talent Show." Each group had prepared a short skit, song, or dance performance in English. It was amazing to see how creative and talented my classmates were! From a hilarious comedy routine to a beautifully choreographed dance number, every performance was a hit.
But the highlight of the party was undoubtedly the "English Karaoke Battle." Mrs. Smith had set up a makeshift stage with a karaoke machine, and we took turns singing our favorite English songs. Some of us were a bit shy at first, but the encouragement
and support from our classmates soon had us belting out tunes with confidence (and a little bit of silliness, too!).
As the party came to an end, we all gathered for a group photo to commemorate the fantastic day we had shared. Mrs. Smith thanked us for our hard work and participation, and we all gave her a big round of applause for organizing such an incredible event.
On our way out, we each received a small gift bag filled with English-themed stationery, bookmarks, and a personalized certificate acknowledging our progress in the language. It was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel appreciated and motivated to continue our English learning journey.
As I looked back on the day's events, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. Not only had we had an absolute blast, but we had also practiced and improved our English skills in a fun and engaging way. The party had brought our class closer together and fostered a love for learning and exploring new languages.
Thank you, Mrs. Smith, for creating such an unforgettable experience for us! I can't wait for the next English party, and I'm sure my classmates feel the same way. Until then, it's back to
studying and practicing our English skills, but this time with a newfound enthusiasm and appreciation for the language.

An Awesome English Party!
Last week, we had the coolest English party ever for Unit 3 in our textbooks! I was so excited because I just love parties, especially ones where we get to practice our English. My best friend Sam and I have been studying really hard, so we were ready to have fun with the activities.
Our teacher Mrs. Roberts worked really hard to decorate our classroom and make it feel like a real party. There were streamers and balloons everywhere in our school colors of blue and yellow. She even had little tables set up like it was a cafe! When we walked in, we heard English music playing and she had English snacks and drinks set out on the tables. I tried the lemonade and sugar cookies and they were delicious.
The first activity was super cool. Mrs. Roberts put us into teams and gave us each a bingo card, but instead of numbers it had different English words and phrases from our unit. Then she called out words and descriptions in English, and we had to listen carefully and find them on our cards. My team won the first
round! Sam and I were so proud of ourselves for listening so well. Mrs. Roberts gave us all little prizes like stickers and pencils.
Next up was the grammar quiz game show. Mrs. Roberts separated the class into two big teams and we had to go up against each other answering grammar questions about the lessons we had learned. It was a lot of pressure being up in front of the whole class, but it was also really fun! Sam and I got to be the team captains which was awesome. My favorite part was when Mrs. Roberts asked "What is the past participle of the verb 'to sing'?" I knew it was 'sung' so I rang the bell on our desk really fast before the other team could answer. We ended up winning that round too!
After the games, we got to do some role playing activities in our little cafe areas. Sam and I worked together to play act as a server and customer ordering food in English. I was the server and Sam was the customer. At first I was a little nervous using all my English phrases, but once we got going it was really cool to practice real conversationa! We used lots of "Can I take your order?", "I would like..." and "The total is..." phrases. Mrs. Roberts came around and complemented us on our good pronunciation.
To finish up the party, we had an English talent show! Some kids told jokes or did magic tricks all in English. My best friend
Sam and I decided to sing one of the songs we learned during the music unit. We had practiced a ton so we weren't too nervous, and it felt so good to perform it in front of everyone. The whole class cheered for us at the end. I was so proud that we could understand and sing an entire English song!
Overall, the English party was a total blast. Mrs. Roberts made it fun to practice our English skills through all the different games and activities. I felt like I really got to use so many words and grammar concepts from our unit, but in a relaxed and enjoyable way. The best part was getting to work together and show off our talents with Sam. I can't wait for the next English party! Maybe I'll tell a joke or do a magic trick act in English next time. This party really boosted my confidence to keep learning and using more English.

An Exciting English Party
Last Saturday was the highlight of my week! Our English teacher, Ms. Johnson, organized an amazing English party for our class. We had been looking forward to it for weeks, and it was even better than we had imagined.
The party was held in the school auditorium, which was beautifully decorated with colorful streamers, balloons, and posters with English words and phrases. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by upbeat English music, setting the mood for a fun-filled afternoon.
The first activity was an English spelling bee. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous at first, but the excitement of the competition quickly took over. Ms. Johnson called out words from our textbook, and we had to spell them correctly. It was a close contest, with several students making it to the final rounds. In the end, my friend Sarah emerged as the winner, and she received a beautiful English dictionary as a prize.
Next up was an English charades game. We were divided into teams, and each team had to act out phrases or sentences in English without speaking. It was hilarious watching my classmates try to convey the meaning through gestures and expressions. My team ended up winning, and we were awarded English storybooks as prizes.
After the games, it was time for the much-anticipated English talent show. Some students sang English songs, while others performed skits or recited poems. I was part of a group that performed a short play based on a story we had read in our
textbook. Even though I was a bit shy at first, the encouraging cheers from my classmates gave me the confidence to deliver my lines clearly.
The highlight of the talent show was undoubtedly the dance performance by a group of boys. They had choreographed an energetic routine to a popular English pop song, complete with synchronized moves and costumes. The audience went wild, and they received a standing ovation at the end.
After the talent show, we had a break for refreshments. There were delicious snacks and drinks, and we all enjoyed mingling with our classmates, practicing our English conversation skills. It was a great opportunity to put into practice what we had learned in class.
The final activity of the day was an English quiz game. Ms. Johnson had prepared a series of questions related to the topics we had covered in our textbook. We were divided into teams again, and each team had to work together to answer the questions correctly. It was a fun way to review what we had learned while also fostering teamwork and collaboration.
As the party drew to a close, Ms. Johnson announced the winners of the quiz game, and they were awarded English board
games as prizes. We all gathered for a group photo, proudly wearing the English party hats and holding our prizes.
The English party was an unforgettable experience for all of us. It not only reinforced our language skills but also created lasting memories of laughter, camaraderie, and a shared love for learning English. I can't wait for the next English party!。
