Animals are our friends. But we cannot see some of them any more.
The great auk was a large seabird that lived in the North Atlantic. It was a bird, but
it couldn’t fly. It could swim under water really well. Its feathers（羽毛）were very
soft and people used them to make things for their beds. Because of this，people killed
（捕杀）the birds. The last great auk died（死亡）on the island of Eldey in 1835.
The Tasmanian tiger was only in Australia. It got its name because it had stripes

One day Suzie went shopping with her mum in Tynemouth, England. Suzie was four years old. Her mum didn't feel very well in a shop, so they went home.

Life at the white house on the hill changes after that. A maid（女仆）and a cook
