数学不会后面克服困难的英语作文
Math is Hard, but I Won't Give Up!
Math has always been really tough for me. No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to get all those numbers and equations to make sense in my head. When the teacher is going over a new concept, I get lost pretty quickly once we move past the basics. I look around the classroom and everyone else seems to understand what's going on except me. It's frustrating and makes me feel kind of dumb.
I used to just give up whenever math got too confusing. I would stop paying attention in class and start doodling or daydreaming instead. When it came time to do the homework, I wouldn't even try because I knew I wouldn't understand it anyway. My parents would get so mad at me for not completing the assignments, but I just couldn't do it. Math made me want to cry.
Things started to change though when my mom sat me down one day after I failed another math test. She said, "Honey, I know math is really hard for you. But that doesn't mean you should just give up on it. Everything worthwhile in life requires
hard work and perseverance. You can't expect to be great at something without putting in a lot of effort."
Her words really made me think. I realized that by just giving up on math, I was taking the easy way out instead of facing the challenge head on. My mom was right that I would never improve unless I worked really hard at it, even when it was extremely difficult. From that point on, I made a commitment to myself to never give up on math again no matter how much I struggled with it.
The first step was paying close attention in class, even when I didn't fully grasp what the teacher was saying. Instead of tuning out, I tried to write down every word and example she gave. That way I could go back later and study it more carefully. I also started asking a lot more questions, both in class and after school. My teacher was surprisingly patient and would re-explain things to me over and over until I got it.
The biggest change though was how I approached my math homework. Instead of just staring at it blankly and feeling defeated, I would chip away at it little by little. Even if I could only solve one or two problems, that was progress. I would go
step-by-step through the work, studying my notes and examples carefully. Often it would take me hours just to finish a single
homework assignment, much longer than my classmates. But I didn't care because I was determined to get through it.
My parents were so impressed by my newfound determination and work ethic. They had my older sister help tutor me sometimes, which was a huge help. We would go over the areas I was struggling with using different examples until I understood the concepts solidly. Little by little, math started making more and more sense to me.
I'm not going to lie, math is still incredibly hard for me and I don't always do well on the tests and quizzes. But I've come a long, long way from where I used to be. Just last week I got an 88% on my unit test, which is the highest grade I've ever gotten! I was so proud of myself for sticking through all the struggles and frustrations. My classmates and teachers have noticed the positive changes too.
Whenever I feel like giving up on math, I remember that conversation with my mom. I think about how far I've already come through hard work and perseverance. If I want to achieve my dreams later in life, I know I'll have to apply that same determination to overcoming any obstacles in my way. Math is teaching me a valuable life lesson—anything is possible if you
never give up, no matter how hard it seems. I'm just getting started!。
