我计划去西安的旅游计划英语作文
My Big Travel Plan to Xi'an!
Hi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I'm super excited because my family and I are going on a big trip to Xi'an, China this summer! Xi'an is a really cool historical city with lots of amazing things to see and do. I've been learning all about it in school and I can't wait to visit for real.
First, let me tell you a little bit about Xi'an. It's the capital of Shaanxi Province in central China. A long time ago, it used to be the imperial capital for many dynasties like the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties. Because of this amazing history, Xi'an has tons of cultural relics, ancient ruins, and historical sites. It's considered one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization!
The number one thing I'm most excited to see in Xi'an is the Terracotta Warriors. Maybe you've heard of them before? They are these life-sized sculptures of soldiers, horses and chariots that were buried underground over 2,000 years ago! Can you believe an entire army of terracotta statues was discovered by some farmers digging a well? There are thousands of the Terracotta Warriors and each one is unique with different facial
features and everything. They were meant to protect the first emperor of China in the afterlife. How crazy is that?
I've seen pictures of the Terracotta Warriors in books and they look so cool. I can't wait to see them up close! The museum complex where they are displayed looks massive. I heard you can even see the warriors still being excavated by archaeologists. I'm going to take a ton of pictures and get a Terracotta Warrior souvenir from the gift shop.
Apart from the Terracotta Warriors, another place I really want to visit is the Ancient City Wall of Xi'an. It's the most complete ancient city wall left in China and one of the largest of its kind in the world! The wall surrounds the old downtown area of Xi'an and you can actually walk or even bike along the top of it. How fun would that be, to ride a bike on top of an ancient wall? The coolest part is that the wall has been around for over 600 years. I can't wait to walk along it and see the massive fortresses, gates, and watchtowers up close.
Xi'an is also famous for its delicious food, especially foods like roujiamo (a type of Chinese burger), liang pi (cold noodles), and yangrou paomo (crumbled flatbread in a lamb soup). My parents say we'll get to try lots of yummy local dishes and snacks.
I'm most excited for the roujiamo since it's basically a Chinese hamburger! We don't have anything like that back home.
While in Xi'an, we're also going to check out the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Muslim Quarter, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Bell Tower used to ring out times of day, while the Drum Tower kept nighttime hours. How cool is that? The Muslim Quarter will be awesome too since there's a big Muslim community in Xi'an. We'll get to see mosques, food stalls, and markets. And the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is this huge ancient Buddhist pagoda that's almost 1300 years old! I've never seen a real pagoda before.
Our hotel is actually going to be inside the ancient city walls, which will make it really easy to walk around and see the sites. We're staying for a full week, so we'll have plenty of time to explore. I'm a little nervous about the summer heat, but my parents say we'll take breaks during the hottest parts of the day. We might even stop for some ice cream or cold drinks!
I'm also excited because this trip to Xi'an is part of a bigger trip we're taking through China. After Xi'an, we're going to Beijing to see the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Tiananmen Square. Then we'll go to Shanghai to see the crazy futuristic skyscrapers and Bund waterfront area. I've never
traveled this far away from home before, so the whole experience is going to be incredible.
To get ready for our trip, I've been studying some basic Mandarin Chinese phrases in school like "Hello, my name is...", "Thank you", "Where is the restroom?" and how to count numbers. I'm working on mastering chopstick skills too by practicing with snacks at home. It's a lot harder than it looks! My biggest goal is to try speaking Chinese to some locals and order my own food.
I got a brand new camera for my birthday, so I'm pumped to take lots of pictures and videos on the trip. Maybe I'll even start a travel blog or YouTube channel to document our adventures!
I've been saving up my allowance money to buy some souvenirs too. I definitely want to get a Terracotta Warrior figurine, some Chinese snacks, and maybe a traditional outfit or hat.
Traveling to the other side of the world is a little scary, but I know it's going to be the most amazing experience ever. I can't wait to walk along ancient walls, see incredible historical sites, taste new and exciting foods, and learn about a different culture.I'm sure my friends back home are going to be super jealous when I get back! This is going to be a summer I'll never forget.
Those are my big travel plans for visiting the awesome city of Xi'an. Wish me luck! I'll try to send some postcards from China. And who knows, maybe I'll convince my parents to take me back again someday so I can be a tour guide and show them around Xi'an like a pro. Zai jian (goodbye)!。
