Control PanelD7212Release Notes for Version 7.00March 20071.0 IntroductionAlthough the D7212 (expanded version) Control Panel is no longer manufactured (replaced by the D7212G), Firmware Update Kits (P/N: D7299-0700) are available for this product. Refer to theD9412G/D7412G Program Entry Guide (P/N: 47775D or later) when programming a D7212 Control Panel.2.0 RequirementsTable 1: Handlers Supported for Version 6.90and LaterHandler Version Changes 9000MAIN 1.15∗No changes since version 6.30RADXUSR1 1.06∗Updated to support GV2 Series Control PanelsRADXPNTS 1.08∗Updated to support GV2 Series Control PanelsRADXSKED 1.04∗Updated to support GV2 Series Control PanelsRADXAUX1 1.07∗Updated to not support GV2 Series Control Panels∗Newer versions are available but are not required for the D7212 Control Panel. For handlers with new prompts, refer to theD9412G/D7412G Program Entry Guide (P/N: 47775D or later). To acquire an update for your D5200 Programmer, call the Bosch Security Systems Handler Update System toll-free at (800) 657-4584. Make a separate call for each handler.3.0 Version 7.00 Release NotesCorrection in Version 7.00Changes allow RPS workstations located on a private network behind a router or firewall to communicate with control panels outside of that network. No special router or firewall settings are required. The control panels support Port Address Translation (PAT) for networks that require it.4.0 Previous Version 6.90 ReleaseNotes4.1 Corrections in Version 6.90Enhanced Communication TroubleWhen a Route Group is configured with an IP destination in the primary path and a telephone number in the backup path, a break in the Network Link Integrity annunciates locally. When an Enhanced Communication Troublecondition occurs, it generates a system-wide trouble message (COMM TRBL SDI ##). The new troubleD7212The trouble condition is also sent through a backup path to the central station as Communication Trouble SDI ##, using the same virtual address numbers as the trouble messages. The communication trouble event also creates new Modem IIIa 2 messages that thecentral station might need to add to their automation software. Refer to Events 157 to 160 in the D6600 Computer Interface Manual (P/N: 4998122703) for the details of central station data changes. Unsupported Point TypePreviously, if the value of 11 was used with RADXPNTS version 1.06 or later when configuring the Point Index parameters, the control panel might not operate as expected. This condition is corrected so that the control panel responds to a P# Type value of 11 as a disabled point.5.0 Previous Version6.80 ReleaseNotes5.1Corrections in Version 6.805.1.1Local Event ReportingSeveral changes in this release prevent the controlpanel from sending local alarm events intermittently to the central stations. All local alarm events now remain local. 5.1.2Ethernet Link IntegrityFor UL 1610 Line Security (formerly Grade AA) Intrusion System installations and for UL 864 Commercial Fire installations, use the parametersshown in Table 2 when configuring the Heartbeat Poll. For additional details, refer to Programming PathNumbers and IP Addresses for Enhanced Communications in the D9412G/D7412G Program Entry GuideTable 2: Parameters for Heartbeat PollConfiguration in Version 6.801Number of IP Paths Poll Rate (sec) ACK Wait Time (sec)Number of Retries1 30 62 to 19 1 30 8 2 to 12 1 30 10 2 to 8 1 30 12 2 to 5 1 30 14 2 to3 1 60 6 2 to 14 1 60 8 2 to 8 1 60 10 2 to5 1 60 12 2 1 752 102 32 1 906 2 to 9 1 90 8 2 to 4 1 90 10 2 1 120 6 2 to 4 1 145 522 752 82 323 752 62 324 75252321 The parameters in this table are for Version 6.80 only . 2Recommended settings for the corresponding number of IP paths.5.2 Enhancements in Version6.80Summary Fire Relay SustainWhen the Silent Alarm Relay for Area 2 isprogrammed with 24, the Summary Fire Alarm Relay remains active until all Fire Alarms are cleared from the keypad display. The default operation is consistent with the Summary Fire Relay operation in Version 6.60 and older. This feature provides a method of maintaining fire strobes after the alarm bells are silenced.5.3 Known Issue in Version6.80When a Route Group is configured with an IP destination in the primary path and a telephone number in the backup path, a break in the Network Link Integrity does not annunciate locally.D72126.0 Previous Version 6.70 ReleaseNotesEnhancement in Version 6.70Arming Scope RestrictionsWhen the Silent Alarm Relay for Area 3 isprogrammed with 59, some prompts in the FunctionTable 3: Arming Scope RestrictionsMenu Function Function NumberDisabled Prompt Disarm Menu 1 DISARM ALL?Master Arm Delay 2 MASTER ARM ALL? Because the D7212 Control Panel does not have the ground fault detection circuit, this firmware upgrade does not change the control panel’s function.7.2Known Issues in Version 6.60•When a faulted local point is force armed, the central station should receive a Forced Close report for that point. The control panel does not send Forced Close reports for faulted local points. •If a local and a non-local point are faulted and force armed, the control panel does not send Forced Armed, Forced Point, or Forced Close Reports for the non-local point. A point is a local point if configured as follows: • Local While Armed : Yes •Local While Disarmed : Yes8.0 Previous Version 6.50 ReleaseNotesCorrections in Version 6.50Intermittent RF Low Battery eventsIn versions 6.30 and 6.40, Points 1 through 8 generate intermittent RF Low Battery events when devices connected to the on-board points change very quickly from normal to off-normal conditions. Firmware version 6.50 corrects this issue. When an RF Low Battery condition occurs on atransmitter, RF Low Battery appears on the D1255 or D1260 Keypad’s display. To determine whichtransmitter has the low battery condition, select one of the following: •View Log? function from the Service Menu (99 + ENT) on the keyboard, or•Diagnostics function, using the D8125INV. Refer to the D8125INV Operation and Installation Guide (P/N: 49690) for details. If the event is transmitted to the central station, the point number is included in the transmission.D72129.0 Previous Version 6.40 ReleaseNotes9.1Enhancements in Version 6.40Enabling the D1260 in a D7212 Control Panel 1. BFSK FormatBefore version 6.40, the control panel did not send Burglary Restoral reports when using the BFSK communication format. Version 6.40 corrects this issue.Fail to Execute EventsBefore version 6.40, Fail To Execute events incorrectly identified the serial device interface (SDI) device associated with the event. Version 6.40 corrects this issue.Programming Point Indexes for Points 240 – 247 In version 6.30 for the D7412G and D7212 Control Panels, if you use a D5200 to assign point Points 240 through 247, the control panel ignores these points and mistakenly shows missing conditions. Version 6.40 corrects this issue.9.3Known Issues in Version 6.40Disconnecting Battery during Walk Test Causes D1260 to Stop RespondingWhen the control panel’s battery is disconnected and then reconnected during a Walk Test, the D1260 stops responding and displays Retrieving panel info . The control panel must be restarted to clear the keypad.Areas Armed to “All on instant” Do Not Show Area Text in D1260 View Area StatusWhen arming areas to All on Instant, area text does not appear when using the View Area Status menu function on the D1260. As people can easily pick up charges of tens of thousands of volts by walking on synthetic carpets for example, a discharge can occur when you touch your camera, particularly if it is placed on a conductive surface. If only the camera housing is affected, this discharge is harmless to the electronics. However, despite built-in safety circuits, outer contacts such as those in the accessory shoe should not be touched if at all possible for safety reasons.• For any cleaning of the contacts, do not use an optical micro-fiber cloth (synthetic); use a cotton or linen cloth instead! Before touching the contacts, you can make sure you discharge any electrostatic charge by deliberately touching a heating or water pipe (conductive, grounded material). Dirt deposits and oxidation on the contacts can be avoided by storing your camera in a dry location with the lens cap and flash shoe and viewfinder cap on.• Use only the recommended accessories to prevent faults, short circuits or electric shock.• Do not attempt to remove parts of the housing (covers). Repairs must be done at authorized service centers only.• Do not use your camera in the immediate vicinity of devices with powerful magnetic, electrostatic or electromagnetic fields (e.g. induction ovens, microwave ovens, television sets or computer monitors, video game consoles, cell phones, radio equipment).• If you place the camera on or very close to a television set, or use it nearby mobile phones, image recording may be disturbed.• Strong magnetic fields, e.g. from speakers or large electric motors, can damage the stored image data.• If the camera malfunctions due to the effects of electromagnetic fields, turn it off, remove the battery, and then turn it on again. Do not use the camera in the immediate vicinity of radio transmitters or high-voltage power lines. Their magnetic fields can also interfere with recordings.• Protect the camera from contact with insect sprays and other aggressive chemicals. Petroleum spirit, thinner and alcohol may not be used for cleaning.• Certain chemicals and liquids can damage the camera body or the surface finish.• As rubber and plastics sometimes emit aggressive chemicals, they should not remain in contact with the camera for a long time.• Ensure that sand and dust cannot get into the camera, e.g. on the beach. This is the case especially when inserting and removing the memory card.• Ensure that water cannot get into the camera, e.g. when it is snowing or raining and on the beach. Moisture can cause malfunctions and even permanent damage to the camera and the memory card.• If salt water spray gets onto the camera, wet a soft cloth with tap water, wring it out thoroughly and wipe the camera with it. Then wipe down thoroughly with a dry cloth.• If condensation has formed on or in the camera, you should turn it off and leave it to stand at room temperature for around an hour. Once the camera temperature has adjusted to room temperature, the condensation will disappear by itself.• Use carrying straps only for their intended purpose as a carrying strap on a camera / on binoculars. Any other use carries the risk of injury and may possibly result in damage to the carrying strap and is therefore not permitted.• Carrying straps are usually made of strong material. Keep the carrying strap away from children. It is not a toy and potentially dangerous to children due to a risk of strangulation.• For the same reason, carrying straps should not be used for cameras/binoculars during sporting activities where there is a high risk of getting caught by the carrying strap (e.g. climbing in the moun-tains and comparable outdoor sports).Important:Use only the accessories specified and described in these instructions or by Leica Camera AG with the camera. If the camera is exposed to significant temperature fluctuations, condensation can form on the monitor. Wipe it off carefully with a soft dry cloth.• If the camera is very cold when turned on, the monitor image will initially be slightly darker than normal. As soon as the monitor warms up, it will reach its normal level of brightness.• Cosmic radiation (e.g. during flights) can cause pixel defects. The monitor is manufactured using a high-precision process. This ensures that of the total of around 1,040,000 pixels more than 99.995% work correctly and only 0.005% remain dark or are always bright. However, this is not a malfunction and it does not impair the reproduction of a recording. LEGAL INFORMATION• Please ensure that you observe copyright laws. The recording and publication of pre-recorded media such as tapes, CDs, or other published or broadcast material may contravene copyright laws.• This also applies to all of the software supplied.• With regard to videos created using this camera: This product is licensed under the AVC Patent Portfolio license for the personal use of a consumer or other uses in which the consumer does not receive remuneration to (i) encode video in compliance with the AVC standard (“AVC video”) and/or (ii) decode AVC video that was encoded by a consumer engaged in a personal activity and/or was obtained from a video provider licensed to provide AVC video. D i g i l e n t X C2-X L™S y s t e m B o a r d R e f e r e n c e M a n u a l®Revision: May 11, 2004 215 E Main Suite D | Pullman, WA 99163(509) 334 6306 Voice and Fax OverviewThe Digilent XC2-XL System Board (the XC2-XL™) is a self-contained circuit development platform that contains a Xilinx CoolRunner-II XC2C256 CPLD and a Xilinx XC9572XL CPLD. The XC2-XL is an ideal platform for CPLD-based circuit design using the latest Xilinx CAD tools. It provides a JTAG programming circuit, power supplies, a clock source, and basic I/O devices, so that circuits can be implemented immediately without the need for any other components. All CPLD signals are brought to expansion connectors, allowing accessory circuits to be constructed in the on-board prototype area, or attached via an expansion board. The XC2-XL is compatible with all versions of Xilinx CAD tools, including the free WebPack tools available at the Xilinx website. XC2-XL features include:∙ A Xilinx CoolRunner-II XC2C256 CPLD in a TQ144 package;∙ A Xilinx XC9572XL CPLD in a VQ44 package;∙JTAG ports to both CPLDs that can be independently enabled or disabled;∙Flexible power delivery using a wall-plug transformer, batteries, or external supplies; ∙ A socketed oscillator (1.8432MHz included;clocks up to 100+MHz can be used);∙Full routing of all I/O signals from both CPLDs to expansion connectors;∙ A button and two LEDs for basic I/O;∙Non-volatility – as with all Xilinx CPLDs, designs remain after power is removed. Several expansion boards containing a variety of I/O devices are available for the XC2-XL. These fully assembled and tested boards can be used to quickly and easily enhance the features of the XC2-XL. See the Digilent website at /xc2xl for more information.Functional DescriptionThe XC2-XL provides a minimal system that can be used to rapidly implement CPLD-based circuits, and to gain exposure to Xilinx CAD tools and CPLD-oriented design methods. The XC2-XL provides only the essential circuits needed to support the CPLDs, including power supplies, a clock source, and basic I/O (a pushbutton and two LEDs). All available I/O signals are routed to expansion connectors that mate with 40-pin, 100 mil spaced DIP headers available from several distributors. The on-board power supplies and clock source can easily be disconnected from the CPLDs so that external power and clock signals can be used. Power supply design and decoupling follow recommended design practices, so the XC2-XL has stable, low noise supplies regardless of the power source used.CPLD programming is accomplished via a 6-pin, 3.3V JTAG programming header that is compatible with a variety of cables, including the JTAG3 cable from Digilent, the Parallel-3 or –4 cables from Xilinx, as well as cables from other vendors. The XC2-XL measures 5.25” x 5.25”, and it contains an 18-hole x 46-hole wire wrap area. The wire-wrap area can accommodate a self-adhesive solderless breadboard, allowing flexibility in accessory circuit construction. Both CPLDs on the XC2-XL board are loaded with a sample configuration during board test. This basic configuration flashes the on-board LEDs at different rates that are selectable using the on-board button. This configuration, which can be downloaded from the Digilent or Xilinx websites, serves as a quick board check as well as a basic reference design.Power SuppliesThe CoolRunner-II requires three power supplies (V CORE, V IO1, and V IO2), so the XC2-XL has three separate circuits for power delivery. The V CORE and V IO1 supplies are routed only to the CoolRunner 2, and they are set to 1.8V and 3.3V respectively. V IO2 is routed to both CPLDs, and it is also set to 3.3V. V CORE is generated from a 1.8V LM1117 LDO regulator that can supply up to 800mA of current. Jumper block JP3 allows V CORE to be disconnected from the on-board regulator so that it can be brought in from an external supply. V IO1 and V IO2 both arise from the same 3.3V LM317 regulator that can supply up to 1.5A of current. Jumper-blocks JP2 and JP4 can disconnect V IO1 and V IO2 from the on-board regulators so that external I/O supplies can be used.Jumper block JP1 selects whether V IO is supplied from the 3.3V regulator, or from a source connected to J2. Regardless of the JP1 setting, the V CORE regulator is used to generate the 1.8V supply. Jumper blocks JP2, JP3, and JP4 select whether V IO1, V CORE, and V IO2 are supplied from on-board or external supplies. The figure below shows the power supply routing and typical jumper settings.Power can be supplied to the XC2-XL using any one of three modes. Wall-plug mode supplies power from any 5VCD-9VDC wall-plug-transformer supply connected to the power jack (J9) on the XC2-XL. The supply must source at least 250mA of current, and it must use a center-positive, 2.1mm ID/5.5mm OD connector. Battery mode supplies power from a battery pack (or other DC source) connected to the J2 header on the XC2-XL. The batteries must output between 2.8V and 3.6V. External mode uses the J8 header to bring regulated supplies from any external source. In the wall-plug mode, the V CORE and V IO regulators are used, so there is little chance of damaging the CPLDs by using incorrect supply voltages (both regulators can handle up to 18VDC). In battery mode, theV CORE regulator is used, but the supplied voltage directly drives the V IO connections, so care must be taken to ensure no more than3.8V is applied. In external mode, noregulators are used, so care must be taken to ensure CPLD voltage requirements are met.CPLD ConfigurationThe CPLDs on the XC2-XL are connected in a JTAG scan chain as shown in the figure below. Either device can be removed from the chain by setting jumper blocks P5, JP6, JP9, and JP10 appropriately. The scan chain originates from a 6-pin header connector that iscompatible with the JTAG3 cable from Digilent, and the P-3 and P-4 cables from Xilinx. Both ICs IC2 only IC1 only InvalidTMS TDI TDO TCK GND VDDJ P 5/J P 10J P 6/J P 9J P 5/J P 10J P 6/J P 9J P 5/J P 10J P 6/J P 9J P 5/J P 10J P 6/J P 9= jumper shorting blockFigure 3. JTAG signal routingOscillatorThe XC2-XL uses a half-size 8-pin DIPoscillator in an 8-pin socket. The board ships with a 1.842MHz oscillator, but oscillators from 32KHz to 100MHz can be used. The oscillator is connected to the GCK2 input on both CPLDs.Figure 4. Clock signalsNote: The IC1 and IC2 legends are incorrect on the circuit board silkscreen; they arecorrect in the figure above.Pushbutton and LEDsA pushbutton and two LEDs provide basic I/O functions on the XC2-XL. The LED can be illuminated to verify that configuration was successful, or flashed at a given rate to indicate a particular status. The pushbutton can be used to provide a basic reset function, or to select an operating mode. Thepushbutton drives the GSR input on both CPLDs, and the LED is driven from a general I/O pin.Figure 5. Pushbutton and LEDsExpansion ConnectorsFour expansion connectors have been provided to allow XC2 designs to be expanded on the included prototype area, or by attaching peripheral boards. The connectors use 2 x 20, 100-mil spaced right-angle sockets so that standard headers can be used on peripheral boards. Several Digilent expansion boards can be used with the XC2-XL, including solderless breadboards, wire-wrap boards, and analog and digital I/O boards. See Digilent’s website at /xc2xl for more information on available expansion boards. All available signals are routed from the two CPLDs to the connectors as shown in the figure below. VCC (3.3V regulated), VU (depends on power supply used), and GND are also routed to the connector so that attached devices can draw power from theXC2-XL board. If the 3.3V regulated supply is used, no more than 1.5A should be drawn. Table 1 below shows XC2-XL expansion connector pinouts.Figure 5. Expansion Connectors CPLDsThe XC2-XL contains a Xilinx XC2C256 CoolRunner II CPLD in a TQ144 package, and an XC9572 CPLD in a VQ44 package. Both CPLDs have a clock source, pushbutton input, LED output, and connections to the JTAG programming signals. Other than these connections, all I/O signals are routed to the expansion connectors. CPLD pinouts are provided in tables 2 and 3 below. The CPLDs can be programmed using the Xilinx ISE/WebPack software and the JTAG3 cable from Digilent (the P-3 or P-4 programming cable from Xilinx can also be used). Please see the data sheets for the CPLDs available at the Xilinx web site for more information.。
