“I‟m making a pizza for Mrs Smith,” said her mother.

“Why?” asked Tina , who was only four years old.

“Because Mrs Smith is very sad . She lost her daughter and she has a broken heart . we need to take care of her for a while.”

“Why, mummy?”

“You see, Tina. When someone is very sad , they have trouble doing the small things like making dinner or other chores. Mrs Smith is our neighbor and we need to do some things to help her . Mrs Smith won‟t ever be able to talk with her daughter or kiss her or do all those wonderful things that mummies and daughters do together. You are a very smart girl , Tina . Maybe you‟ll think of a way to help take care of Mrs Smith.”

Tina thought seriously about this challenge. Afew minutes later, Tina knocked on Mrs Smith‟s door. As the door opened, she noticed that Mrs Smith‟s eyes were watcry and swollen(肿的).

“Mummy says that you are very sad with a broken heart. ”Tina put something into Mrs Smith‟s hand . It was b Band-Aid (邦迪创可贴).”This is for your broken heart.” Mrs Smith hugged Tina and said , “Thank you, dear ,This will help a lot.”
