It’s true that teens don’t get enough sleep, but changing the school starting time would have a chaotic effect and throw everyone off balance.
Scientists have shown that teens are more active later at night than children and adults, so most teens are probably staying up later for whatever reasons. "The researchers measured the presence of the sleep - promoting hormone( 荷尔蒙) in teenagers' saliva( 唾液) at different time of the day. They learned that the hormone levels rise later at night than they do in children than adults - and remain at a higher level later in the morning. Measuring the hormone in the saliva is a good way to show that most teens have sleep problems, but changing schools schedules isn’t the best way to do fix this. Most people arguing against changing school schedules would say that it would only cause teens to stay up and wake up later, thus leaving them with the same problem.
The biggest problem schools would come across from changing their schedules would be the after school and job conflicts students and teacher would meet. “Teachers reported that students were more alert, and research showed that after - school sports and jobs would suffer. Students in that area might have been able to deal with less time for jobs and sports somehow, but some of them have practice and earlier plans that would become conflicted if this change were to occur. Most students rarely have time to play a sport and do homework before 9 or 10 o'clock. Opening schools later may have worked for some areas, but the reality is often very different.

C. negative
D. ambiguous

The days of multi - layer air tickets won' t be long, as the China Air Transport Association (CA TA) has stopped providing paper tickets and instructed sellers to sell e - tickets to passengers.
The decision is in line with an International Air Transport Association (IATA) move that requires its 261 member airlines to stop using paper tickets by the end of this year.
The change currently only applies to domestic (国内的) flights. " We haven' t received notice from the CATA that paper tickets for international flights will be stopped," said a ticket agent in Beijing, " But e - tickets will be issued once the current paper tickets have been used up. "
Customers will book tickets through airlines or ticket agents as usual, and they will be given a booking reference.
They will then be able to use automatic check - in facilities at airports. To make passengers adapt to the change, they are allowed to check in as normal at the counter till the next May.
Special passengers like small babies without ID cards and those flying to airports without automatic check - in machines can still use paper tickets.
The wide use of e - ticketing is expected to lower operational costs, which could lead to lower prices, said an expert with the safety technology centre of the General Administration of Civil Aviation ( CAAC).
An on-line survey that lasted for two months by civil aviation website www. CARNOC. Com showed widespread concern over the new system.
Despite having the Internet proficiency to take part in the online survey, 43 per cent of people said they would prefer to receive a paper ticket. While some feel more secure without the worry of

One possible version Dear sir,
As is known to all, the Ministry' of Education has recently made a draft of a long - term plan on educational reform, and one of the heated - discussed questions is whether high schools should remove the classification of liberal arts and science.
Different people hold different views on this issue. Some think that removing the classification could offer students more opportunities to explore different fields, which is good for their future job -hunting. About 40% interviewees, however, believe the classification will help students focus more on what they are good at or interested in. If they take all the subjects, it will be difficult for them to
learn everything well- Besides, they may have less time to further develop their talents.
Personally, I am for the classification of liberal arts and science, because I am weak in science subjects like chemistry and physics but good at subjects of liberal arts. "
Yours truly, Li
Hua。
