that has been practiced in China for thousands of years. It is based on the belief that the body and mind are
interconnected and that health is achieved through maintaining a harmonious balance between them. TCM emphasizes prevention over cure, focusing on lifestyle changes, dietary habits, and spiritual practices to prevent illnesses before they occur.
One of the fundamental principles of Chinese medicine
is the concept of Yin and Yang, which represents the two opposing yet complementary forces that exist in all things. Yin represents the feminine, negative, and inward qualities, while Yang represents the masculine, positive, and outward qualities.
