小学英语教研评课发言稿
Good morning, everyone!
I am very excited to be here today to share with you my teaching experience and to discuss and evaluate the recent English lesson that I taught. I hope that by reflecting on our teaching practice, we can all learn and grow together as educators.
The lesson I am going to review today is a Grade 3 English lesson on the topic of "My Family". The main objective of the lesson was to teach the students how to introduce their family members in English and to use the possessive form to talk about their family members. The lesson was designed to be interactive and engaging, with a variety of activities to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
To start off the lesson, I used a short video clip to introduce the topic of family and to elicit some vocabulary related to family members. I then engaged the students in a class discussion about their own families, encouraging them to share about their parents, siblings, and other family members. This was a great way to activate their prior knowledge and to get them thinking and speaking in English from the very beginning of the lesson. Next, I introduced the new vocabulary and the possessive form through a series of flashcards and gestures. I found that this visual and kinesthetic approach helped the students to understand and remember the new language more effectively. I also used a simple chant and some fun actions to practice the pronunciation and usage of the possessive form, which the students really enjoyed.
After that, I divided the class into small groups and gave each group a set of picture cards depicting different family members. I then asked the students to take turns to describe the family members in their pictures using the possessive form. This activity was a great way to provide them with plenty of speaking practice in a collaborative and supportive environment. It also gave me the opportunity to monitor and provide feedback to each group as they worked.
Following the group activity, we had a whole-class practice session using a fill-in-the-blank worksheet. The students had to complete sentences about their family members using the correct possessive form of the nouns provided. This task served as a formative assessment, allowing me to gauge their understanding of the new language and to identify any areas that needed further clarification.
I provided immediate feedback to the students, correcting any errors and praising their efforts.
To wrap up the lesson, I introduced a fun song about family that incorporated the target language. We practiced singing the song together, and I could see that the students were really enjoying themselves as they applied what they had learned in a musical context. This was a great way to end the lesson on a positive and energetic note.
Reflecting on the lesson, I believe that it was successful in achieving its objectives. The students were actively engaged throughout the lesson, and they demonstrated their understanding of the target language through their participation in the various
activities. I also received positive feedback from the students, who expressed that they had fun and felt more confident using the possessive form after the lesson.
However, I also recognize that there are areas for improvement. For example, I could have provided more opportunities for the students to produce the language in a freer, communicative context. This would have allowed them to apply the new language in a more authentic and meaningful way. In addition, I could have integrated more formative assessment strategies throughout the lesson to continuously monitor the students' progress and provide timely feedback.
In conclusion, I am pleased with the overall outcome of the lesson, but I also see areas where I can further develop and refine my teaching practice. I believe that through continuous reflection and collaboration with my colleagues, I can continue to enhance my teaching and provide the best learning experience for my students.
I look forward to hearing your feedback and suggestions, and I am excited to continue learning and growing as an educator together with all of you. Thank you.。
