I have to admit, I'm a sucker for a good tear-jerker. But sometimes, a story can be so bad that it ends up being more frustrating than moving. I remember reading a story about a woman who had lost her husband and young daughter
in a car accident. She was understandably devastated, but instead of seeking help or support, she decided to isolate herself and wallow in her grief. Months turned into years, and she became bitter and angry, pushing away anyone who tried to reach out to her. Eventually, she died alone and unfulfilled.
It's not that I don't sympathize with the pain and loss that this woman experienced. But her story just seemed so pointless and avoidable. It's a reminder that we all have a choice in how we respond to tragedy and hardship. We can either let it consume us and rob us of the rest of our lives, or we can choose to seek help, find meaning, and
move forward.
