• Waiting for Godot is an absurdist play by Samuel Beckett,
in which two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, wait endlessly and in vain for the arrival of someone named Godot.
Absurb
The plot is absurb
It has no tortuous plots ,attractive scenes, exciting actions or words. Any progress or change of characters, surroundings and the whole story can not be seen in the disorderly play, which is very repetitive such as the ending is a repetition of the beginning,The play lacks of conflicts or fierce words but is full of scattershot dialogue and absurd episodes. At the opening of the play, the two tramps have been waiting for Godot for several days, while at the ending, the waiting is still kept on. To audience, it seems that nothing has happened on the stage, no beginning, no ending, and what merely left on the stage is endless waiting.
• Godot's absence, as well as numerous other aspects of the play, have led to many different interpretations since the play's 1953 premiere. It was voted "the most significant English language play of the 20th century".
