ENGLISH ARCHITECTURAL CONTRACT TEMPLATE
THIS AGREEMENT is made on Insert Date between Insert Client Name hereinafter referred to as Client and Insert Architect Name hereinafter referred to as Architect.
1. Scope of Work The Architect agrees to provide architectural services for the Insert Project Description located at Insert Project Address. The services will include but are not limited to Insert Specific Services.
2. Compensation The Client agrees to pay the Architect a total fee of Insert Total Fee payable in Insert Payment Schedule. The fee is based on Insert Basis of Fee e.g. percentage of construction cost flat fee etc..
3. Architects Responsibilities The Architect shall
Prepare and submit all necessary drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with other professionals as required.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Attend all necessary meetings and site visits.
4. Clients Responsibilities The Client shall
Provide all necessary information and approvals in a timely manner.
Pay all fees and expenses as agreed.
Obtain all necessary permits and approvals.
5. Changes and Modifications Any changes or modifications to the project scope will be subject to additional fees which will be agreed upon by both parties.
6. Termination Either party may terminate this agreement by giving Insert Notice Period
e.g. 30 days written notice. Upon termination the Client shall pay for all services rendered up to the date of termination.
7. Liability The Architects liability for any claim loss damage or expense shall be limited to the amount of fees paid by the Client for the services related to the claim.
8. Confidentiality The Architect agrees to keep all information regarding the project and the Client confidential.
9. Force Majeure Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure in performance due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
10. Governing Law This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Insert Jurisdiction.
11. Entire Agreement This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior negotiations representations and agreements.
12. Amendments This agreement may only be amended in writing and signed by both parties.
