Thoughts on th e design:
本课是本单元Task的第二课时,主要任务是引导学生在上一课时通过听、说、读获取相应信息后,结合海报的制作要领,制作出沙漠化有关的宣传海报。
内容的设计上首先回顾上一课时所获信息,使学生更加熟悉相关内容;其次,通过阅读专家意见,经过小组讨论,决定本组的海报主题;再次由教师指导海报的制作要领,展示样报;最后由学生以小组的形成当场完成海报的制作,并作展示。
Teaching aims:
After learning this section, the students will be able to
1.discuss which of the viewpoints from experts they agree with and which viewpoint their grou p
will focus on.
2.know how to design a poster.
3.design a poster in group by themselves.
Teaching procedure s:
Step 1 revision
Ask the students to review information about dese rtification.

回顾上一课时通过听、读、说所获关于沙漠化的信息,促使学生更加熟悉相关内容。
Step 2 discussion
Read experts’viewpoints and discuss which of the viewpoints from experts they agree with and which viewpoint their group will focus on.

沙漠化这一话题太大,影响学生海报的制作,因此学生通过讨论,确定本组海报的宣传焦点,为学生的海报制作降低难度。
Step3 design a poster (PPT 4-9)
1. How to design a poster. (PPT 5-8)
1) Heading
catching, simple, able to be seen from 20 feet away.

Include a brief written description

3. Ask each group to create their own posters

制作海报之前先由教师指点海报制作的要点,为学生活动的顺利展开铺路搭桥;海报样品的展示,使学生更加直观地了解如何制作海报。
以小组为单位制作,同时增加了学生的集体荣誉感以及合作意识,过程中教师也可进行适时的指导。
