春节拜年的英文介绍
Also known as "New Year's visits" or "paying New Year's greetings," is a traditional Chinese custom practiced during the Spring Festival, the most important holiday in the Chinese calendar.
During this festive time, people visit their relatives and friends, offering greetings and well-wishes for the New Year. This custom is a way to show respect, gratitude, and care for one another, as well as to strengthen social bonds and promote unity.
Typically, the visits start on the first day of the New Year and continue throughout the festival period, which usually lasts for about a week. People dress in new clothes, carry gifts such as red envelopes (hongbao)
filled with money, and offer greetings such as "Gong Xi Fa Cai" (恭喜发财), which means "Congratulations and wish you prosperity."
The custom of paying New Year's visits reflects the importance of family and community in Chinese culture. It is a time for reunions and sharing, a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the future with hope and optimism.
In recent years, with the development of technology, people have also started to send virtual greetings and gifts through social media and messaging apps, making the tradition more accessible and convenient. However, the traditional in-person visits still hold a special place in the hearts of many Chinese people.。
