Everyone has got two personalities – the one that is shown to the world and the other that is secret and real. You don’t show your secret personality when you’re awake because you can control your behaviour, but when you’re asleep, your sleeping position shows the real you. In a normal night, of course, people frequently change their position. The important position is the one that you go to sleep in.
If you go to sleep on your back, you’re a very open person. You normally trust people and you are easily influenced by fashion or new ideas. You don’t like to upset people, so you never express your real feel ings. You’re quite shy and you aren’t very confident.
If you sleep on your stomach, you are a rather secretive person. You worry a lot and you’re always easily upset. You’re very stubborn (顽固的) ,but you aren’t very ambitious. You usually live for today not for tomorrow. This means that you enjoy having a good time.
If you sleep on curled up, you are probably a very nervous person. You have a low opinion of yourself and so you’re often defensive. You’re shy and you don’t normally like meeting people. You prefer to be on your own. You’re easily hurt.
If you sleep on your side, you have usually got a well-balanced personality. You know your strengths and weakness. You’re usually careful. You have a confident personality. You sometimes feel anxious, but you don’t often get depressed. You always say what you think even if it annoys people.
1.According to the writer, you naturally show your secret and real personality _______.
A. only in a normal night
B. only when you go to sleep
C. only when you refuse to show yourself to the world

C. He or she prefers staying at home to going out.
D. He or she wouldn’t like to get help from you.

A. he or she always shows sympathy for people
B. he or she is confident, but not stubborn
C. he or she has more strengths than weakness
D. he or she often considers annoying people

Imagine a classroom missing the one thing that's long been considered a necessary part to reading and writing Paper. No notebooks, no textbooks, no test paper. Nor are there any pencils or pens, which always seem to run out of ink at the critical (关键的) moment.
A "paperless classroom" is what more and more schools are trying to achieve. Students don't do any handwriting in this class. Instead, they use palm (手掌) size, or specially-designed computers. The teacher downloads texts from Internet libraries and sends them to every student's personal computer.
Having computers also means that students can use the Web. They can look up
information on any subject they're studying from maths to social science.
High school teacher Judy Herrell in Florida, US, described how her class used the Web to learn about the war in Afghanistan (阿富汗) over one year ago.
"We could touch every side of the country through different sites ? from the forest to refugee camps (难民营)," she said. "Using a book that's three or four years old is impossible."
And exams can go online too. At a high school in Tennessee, US, students take tests on their own computers. The teacher records the grades on the network for everyone to see and then copies them to his own electronic grade book.
A paperless classroom is a big step towards reducing the waste of paper. High school teacher Stephanie Sorrell in Kentucky, US, said she used to give about 900 pieces of paper each week to each student.
"Think about the money and trees we could save with the computers," she said. But, with all this technology, there's always the risk (危险) that the machines will break down. So, in case of a power failure or technical problems, paper textbooks are still widely available (可用的) for these hi-tech students.
8. What does the part of the last sentence in the first paragraph, “run out of ink at the critical moment”, mean?
A. Pens may not write well at the critical moment.
B. Pens get lost easily, so you may not find them at the critical moment.
C. Pens may have little or no ink at the critical moment.
D. Pens use ink, while pencils don't.
9. In a paperless classroom, what is a must?
A. Pens.
B. Computers.
C. Information.
D. Texts.
10. The high school teacher, Judy Herrell, used the example of her class to show that _______.
A. the Web could take them everywhere
B. the Web taught them a lot
C. the Web is a good tool for information
D. the Web, better than the textbooks, can give the latest and comprehensive (全
面的) information
11. The paperless classrooms will benefit _____ the most.
A. students
B. teachers
C. trees
D. computers

Having a shy style isn’t necessarily a problem. It’s perfectly OK to take time to warm up new people and situations. Here are some tips for beating shy feelings.
Start small with people you know. Practice social behaviors like eye contact, confident body language, introductions, small talk, asking questions, and invitations with the people you feel most comfortable around. Smile. Build your confidence this way. 16 .
Think of some conversation starters. 17 . Think of conversation openers, like introducing yourself, giving a compliment, or asking a question. Being ready with a conversation starter (or a few) makes it easier to approach someone.
Rehearse(排练) what to say. 18 . Rehearse it out loud, maybe even in front of the mirror. Then just do it. Don’t worry if it’s not exactly like you have practiced or if it’s not perfect. Also few of the things confident p eople do are perfect. Next time, it’ll be better because it will be easier.
19. Find group activities where you can be with people who share your interests.
Give yourself a chance to practice socializing (社交) with these new people, and get to know them slowly. People who are shy often worry about failing or how others will think about them. So treat yourself like your own best friend. Encourage yourself instead of expecting to fail.
Most of all, be yourself. It’s OK to try out different conversational ways you see others use. 20 . Being the real you and daring to let yourself be noticed are what attract friends.
A.It’s important to make friends.
B.B. Then try to do this with new friends, too.
C.Give yourself a chance to take part in activities.
D.Write down what you want to say beforehand.
E.Often, the hardest part of talking to someone new is getting started.
F.But say and do what fits your style.
