The above response refers to a question: How to answer any interview question? Unlike some politicians who ignore press questions and immediately introduce a different topic in response, job candidates must respect and directly answer employer's questions. Have anecdotes ready. In many interviews, applicants are asked questions which require them to give examples of how they deal with difficult work situation. These questions require one of your own stories in response, but it is impossible for you to have a story that can be used to answer every conceivable query. According to research, the interviewers typically are interested in questions of four or five general categories. Knowing this makes your preparing task easier. You need only come up with stories to fit these general issues, instead of trying to be ready for every potential question.

Pre-reading questions
1. What do you think you should prepare before a job interview? 2. In your opinion, what makes a successful job interview?
Check out the section titled Interview Dressing and decide what you will wear. Select clothes that you feel confident and comfortable wearing and make sure they're clean and pressed. ●Find out exactly where you're going, where to park and know long it will take to arrive there. If it is an unfamiliar city, you'd better do a dry run before your interview. Get familiar with the park, escalator and surroundings. This will alleviate your stress on the day of interview. ●Arrive 15 minutes early, so you can relax, review your surrounding and visit a restroom to cheek your appearance. Be friendly to the receptionist whose opinions are often asked. ●Get a good night's sleep, reduce built up stress by exercising eating properly and avoid caffeine if you're sensitive to it.
Study hard. Learn as much as you can about the job, the position, the employer and the executives of the company in advance. Use the information about them to answer direct questions during the interview and then lead to a discussion about you qualification that the company is in demand of. Talking to current and former employees before the interviewer is an effective way to gain as much information as you can about the employer's culture and challenges. If the company is suffering a rough financial period, you can tell the interviewer that you not only make good products, but also you can produce things on time and under budget. If the company is in trouble, this will enhance your opportunity to gain the job.
Another mistake in job interviews is an over inflicted ego, which shows itself in talking too much appearing overly confident. "I did this, I did that" But nobody can do anything by themselves in any company. Experts suggest that you discuss how you lead a team of people who accomplished something. Consider shifting focus, Klamforth said." My advice to people interviewing is to show up as a solution and not as an applicant. Understand who you are meeting with, understand the competitive landscape that they are in, understand the role that you are interviewing for, and how that role contributes to the core mission of that company, and talk about how you would approach the position as a solution to an organizational problem or issue. "
Inquiring about compensation too early during the interview is also considered a severe mistake that applicants make. Certainly you have a right to know about the payment. But asking about money too early gives the interviewer the wrong impression that you are not going to focus yourself on doing a good job and making contribution. Sometimes, companies ask too early on how much you hope to get. If you say too slowly, you will sell yourself short. And if you say too high, you knock yourself out. A wise response maybe like this "I’m sure if we can agree on the right opportunity for me, the compensation will not be a problem".

Are you preparing for a new job interview? Can you avoid the common mistakes and answer any question correctly? The following skills may be of some help to you. Before the interview ● Learn about the company and its operation If you've done some research , you'll impress the interviewer and it will also help you develop good answers to the interviewer's questions. ● Research typical interview questions and prepare answers to them. ● Memorize the interviewer's name. Forgetting their name will embarrass you during the interview.
During the interview What are the most common mistakes job candidates make during interviews? Talking too much and revealing that you didn't do your homework about the company or position may lead to your failure. Because sometimes, talking too much is code for not listening well. The next most common mistake is a lack of knowledge of the company or the position you are applying for. There are many very senior executives, very successful folks, showing up and getting into conversations that they are not prepared for. While others warned: Be wary of being coached until you are too smooth. Some interviewees are maybe too rehearsed, too prepared as they have been coached. Often a coached applicant is ruined by a following question, because the formulaic responses don't work.
