教学目标1、知识目标:
Acquire some new words and expressions relevant to the free-time activity, hobby and health. Learn to use adverbs of frequency and proper sentences to talk about the frequency of doing those activities.
2、能力目标:
(1)Learn how to ask others what free-time activities they often do, what hobbies they like best and how often they do those.(2)Learn to ask and talk about the food that they like or dislike by introducing them.(3)Talk about the probable effects which different people and their eating habits can bring.
3、情感目标:
This content is close to the students’ life and the topic deals with the students’eating habits and hobbies, so it’s helpful for the students to have a healthy diet habit and it can arouse the students’special attention and encourage them to take an interest in learning English.
教学重点难点1、重点:
The usage and structure of Wh-questions, such as What do you
often do on weekends? How often do you go to the movie?
2、难点:
The usage of the adverbs of frequency, such as: sometimes, often,
always, usually, etc. Flexible mastery of Wh-questions and
improvement of the students’ communicative ability to talk about
health, like and dislike.
课时安排Period 3(Section B 1a-2c)
Step 1 Read the new words.
Make the students read after me from “junk” to “less”.
Step 2 Section B 1a
Ask a student read the words in 1a, make them figure out the
meaning of each word.
Then match the words with the pictures below.
Step3 Section B 1b
Ask some pairs to present some questions and answer with the
words in 1a, according to the sample conversation in 1b to the
class.
Step 4 Section B 2a
Now you’ll hear a reporter interview two people. Katrina and
Bill.
Play the recording the first time. Students only listen. Then play
it again. This time ask students to circle Yes, No or I don’t
know.
Step 5 Section B 2b
First read the questions in the chart to the class.
Then listen to the tape carefully, fill in the blanks with the
answers of Katrina and Bill. All the answers will be the
expressions of frequency.
Step 6 Section B 2c
Make the students work in pairs and make their own
conversations with the string of questions and answers.
Then ask several pairs to perform their conversations in a
role-playing way. One is Katrina or Bill, the other is
