关于爸爸妈妈职业和怎样上班的英语作文My Parents' Jobs and How They Go to Work
My mom and dad both have very important jobs. They work hard every day to provide for our family and make sure we have everything we need. I'm really proud of them!
My mom is a nurse. She works at the big hospital downtown. Her job is to take care of sick people and help them get better. Every morning, she gets up really early around 6am. First, she takes a shower and gets dressed in her nurse's uniform - it's light blue with white shoes. Then she has a quick breakfast, usually just a protein shake and a banana.
After that, she heads out the door and drives to the hospital. It's about a 25 minute drive from our house. On the way, she listens to the news on the radio to hear what's going on in the world. When she gets to the hospital, she parks in the employee parking lot out back.
Once inside, my mom heads to the locker room and puts her stuff away in her locker. She grabs her stethoscope, her nurse's watch, and her comfy nursing shoes. Then she goes to get her patient assignment for the day. This tells her which patients she'll be responsible for taking care of.
Throughout the day, my mom is super busy! She has to check on her patients, give them medication, change bandages, take vitals like temperature and blood pressure, and so much more. She's always rushing around the hospital floor. But she says she really loves her job because she gets to help make people healthy again.
After her shift ends at 7pm, my mom is pretty tired. She grabs something quick to eat from the hospital cafeteria, then drives back home. Sometimes she has to work evening or overnight shifts too. That's really hard, but she says it's worth it. I'm so proud that my mom is a nurse!
My dad's job is very different. He's a computer programmer. That means he writes code and programs for software applications and websites. He works normal weekday hours at a big software company downtown.
My dad's morning routine is pretty straightforward. He gets up around 7am, showers, gets dressed in business casual clothes like a button-down shirt and khakis. Then he has a bowl of oatmeal with fruit for breakfast.
Around 8am, my dad leaves for work. He drives himself and listens to podcasts or books on tape during his 30 minute commute. When he gets to his office, he heads straight to his
desk area. It's a big open floor plan with lots of other programmers and developers.
All day, my dad works on his computer writing code. He uses a bunch of different coding languages like Python, Java, C++, and more. Sometimes he has meetings with his project team to discuss new features or updates they're working on. Other times he puts on his headphones and really concentrates to fix bugs or add new functionality.
My dad says his job can be really challenging, but he loves solving problems and building cool new software tools and apps. The hardest part is when he gets stuck on a coding issue and has to spend hours trying to debug it. But it's really rewarding when everything finally runs smoothly!
After work around 5pm, my dad heads home. Depending on traffic, he's usually back by 5:45pm or so. In the evenings, he loves spending time with me and my mom. We'll have dinner together, play outside, read books, or just hang out. Sometimes he has to work a little at night too if a deadline is coming up. But he's really good at balancing work and family.
On the weekends, my parents both get to stay home with me and my little brother. We'll go to the park, run errands, or just
chill at home. It's nice for them to get a break from their busy jobs for a couple days!
I feel very lucky that my mom and dad have such meaningful careers. My mom gets to help sick people, and my dad gets to create awesome technology. They both work incredibly hard all week long. I have so much respect and appreciation for how devoted they are to their professions.
I'm really proud of both my parents. Their jobs aren't easy, but they never complain. They wake up early, work long hours, and still come home with a smile on their faces to spend time with me and my brother. We're blessed to have such loving, hardworking parents. I hope I can find a career I'm as passionate about when I grow up!。
