一、创设语境激趣导入课前师生拍手齐唱英文歌曲:Apple round, apple red.创设轻松、欢快的语言学习气氛，以圣诞节即将来临为话题，小天使来和大家玩游戏设置悬念:课前我让班上一位又高又瘦的女孩站在门外，使用以前学过描述人物的句型：She is a tall girl. She has two big eyes. Her nose is small. Her hair is black . Who is she ?让大家猜一猜，是班上的那位女同学？当有同学猜出是谁时，我让大家闭上眼睛，集体数：One, two, three.随手翻开门请那位女同学站在讲台前，下面的同学睁开眼睛，我随机提问: What does she look like?引导学生答复：She looks tall and thin. 通过手势描述这位女同学的外貌，并让下面同学跟老师一起重复：She looks tall land thin.这样潜移默化的引导，不用传统教学的汉语翻译，学生立刻明白所说句子的含义，通过热身环节，既复习稳固了以前学过的描述人物的词汇，也巧妙地渗透了新学词汇，有效调动了学生学习的好奇心，和积极性。
