一、中西方商务酒店简介的布局特点以美国华盛顿JW万豪酒店(JW Marriott Washington DC)的英文简介和日照碧波大酒店的汉语简介为例来对比分析涉外商务酒店英汉简介文本的布局特点。
1.布局特点对比第一,JW万豪简介一开始写出的是酒店具体地址;碧波则是侧重自己的“荣誉史”,以时间为顺序具体阐述,同时表明了自己的四星级地位。
第二,JW万豪和碧波的内容均是优越的地理位置,并均将自己酒店附近的地标性建筑一一列出,以吸引顾客。
另外均提到到达最有价值地点(白宫和海边)的具体时间。
只是JW万豪强调了酒店与机场的距离,而碧波则没有。
第三,JW万豪与碧波的内容一致,均为自己的服务设施做了介绍,并将服务设施以分类的形式列出,比如JW万豪有会议室和客房两部分;碧波则分为客房、餐饮、会议接待、大型休闲娱乐中心四类。
另外每类服务设施均有简单介绍,只是JW的介绍以顾客为中心,例如“…with connections for your MP3 player and video camera”,而碧波的介绍是以酒店为中心的简单陈述。
