本模块第一单元是邀请朋友参加自己的生日聚会,内容涉及中国孩子和外国孩子如何过生日,能让学生了解国外的生日文化,比较中西方生日文化的不同,并借此培养和提高学生的跨文化交际意识。
第二单元的主题是挑选生日礼物,课文介绍了不同人的不同爱好,教师可以在教学中归纳总结如何表达喜好,并设计为同学组织一次生日聚会的活动帮助学生运用这些表达方式。
这不仅可以增进学生相互间的情感交流,还可以培养良好的同学关系。
同时在生日活动的过程中,还可以引导学生避免浪费,注意健康的良好习惯。
学情分析:这单元的教学对象是山区初一的学生,他们学习英语的热情和积极性也较高,思维活跃,爱表现、爱活动,通过大半学期的学习,他们能在教师的指导下,主动参与活动,合作探究,有相当一部分学生能用英语表达自己的意愿。
但对于农村的学生来说,生日聚会这样的活动极少,所以本人设计思路由动词到短语再到句子,最后插入频度副词操练对话的教学过程。
让他们增强学习信心。

课堂上采用适合学生年龄特征的灵活多样的教学方法来吸引学生的注意,努力营造教学情境。
注重对学生英语学习兴趣的培养,鼓励他们大胆说、积极做、努力讲!本节课用Would you like to表达邀请学生在小学已经学过,学习内容贴近学生的生活。
