教材分析
Unit2is a reading article about five kinds of animals.Teachers can grasp students like animals,ea ger to know more about the characteristics of animals,expand students'knowledge of animals,and enable them to further grasp the use of the general present tense.

Step 1Leadin
Show the video of Animal World and have a short conversation with students.

Step 2Presentation
1.Teach the new words in Unit 2 by PPT. Show a world map and let the students find Africa, America, Asia, Europe in the map. Ask the students to notice capital letters.
2.Make sentences.
Ask the students to make sentences using the words in the table.
eg. The panda comes from China (中国). It is Chinese(中国的).
3. Let the students look at the map again and work in pairs. Ask and answer questions about animals. Use the words from the box in Activity 2.

—No, they don't.

Step 3Reading
1. Let the students look at the pictures in Activity 3. Match the pictures with the paragraphs in the passage.
