江门五邑风采英语作文
The air here smells like… well, like happiness! My grandma says
it's the scent of the river, the water that flows through the heart of
our city, Jiangmen. It's a happy place, full of life and laughter. I love
to walk along the river with my grandpa, watching the boats glide by.
Sometimes, we go to the old town, where the streets are narrow and the houses are built close together. It's like stepping into a storybook! The walls are painted in vibrant colors, adorned with intricate pat terns, and there’s a little shop on every corner. They sell delicious snacks, like “dai pai dong” and sweet “tang yuan”.
Grandpa tells me stories about the five counties, the five “yips” of Jiangmen, where people come together to share their traditions.
It's like a big family, everyone helping each other. We learn about
the history of our city, about how people worked hard and built a beautiful place for us.
There’s also a park near our home. It's a peaceful place, fille d with the songs of birds and the scent of blooming flowers. It’s my favourite place to draw. One day, I drew a picture of a beautiful bridge, the “Pu Lao Bridge”, built many years ago. It’s like a giant dragon, guarding the city. I imagine people from long ago walking across the bridge, carrying their hopes and dreams.
Sometimes, I think about all the amazing things I want to do when I grow up. I want to travel the world, but I’ll always remember where my home is, in the heart of Jiangmen, where the five “yips” are strong and proud!。
