My Favorite Things
Hi there! My name is Tommy and I'm in 4th grade. Today I'm going to tell you all about my favorite things. Get ready because this is going to be a really long list!
First up is video games. I absolutely love playing video games! My favorite games are Super Mario Odyssey, Minecraft, and Fortnite. In Super Mario, I like collecting Power Moons and exploring the huge worlds. Minecraft is fun because you can build whatever you can imagine using different blocks. And Fortnite is exciting because you get to battle against other players to be the last one standing. Video games are the best!
Next up is my favorite sport - basketball! I'm on my school's basketball team and we practice twice a week. Dribbling the ball up and down the court and taking shots at the hoop is so much fun. My favorite NBA player is Stephen Curry because he can shoot three-pointers from way downtown. I dream of being able to make crazy shots like him one day.
I also really like reading books, especially books about adventures and magic. My favorite book series is Harry Potter. I've read all the books like five times already! I love the wizarding world and all the spells and creatures like dragons and unicorns. My favorite character is Hermione because she's super smart and brave. I can't wait for the next Fantastic Beasts movie to come out.
Speaking of movies, watching movies is another one of my favorite things to do. My favorite movies are from the Marvel Cinematic Universe like The Avengers, Black Panther, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I love all the superhero action and crazy battles to save the world. I went to the opening night of Avengers: Endgame last year and it was incredible! My friends and I dressed up as different Avengers characters.
You know what else is awesome? Legos! I have a huge bin full of Legos that I use to build all kinds of crazy things. I once made a replica of the Hogwarts castle from Harry Potter out of Legos that was three feet tall! It took me months to collect all the pieces and put it together. Building with Legos is so satisfying and fun.
Of course, I have to mention my favorite foods too. I'm a big fan of pizza - my favorite toppings are pepperoni, sausage, and
extra cheese. Mmm just thinking about it makes me hungry! Ice cream is another favorite, specifically cookies and cream flavor. And for a snack, you can't beat potato chips. The crunchier the better!
Let's see, what other favorite things can I list? Oh yeah, going to amusement parks and riding rollercoasters! My local amusement park is called Canobie Lake Park and they have some awesome coasters. My favorite ride is the Untamed, which has a crazy 72 foot drop at an angle. I get such a huge adrenaline rush!
I love going on vacation with my family too. We usually go somewhere fun during the summer like the beach or Disney World. Playing in the ocean and making sandcastles is blast. And Disney is amazing with all the rides, shows, and getting to meet the characters in real life. I can't wait for our trip to California next year to go to Disneyland!
Boy, this is getting long but I have to mention a few more favorites: ice cream, sleepovers with my best friends where we stay up all night, gym class at school, Christmas and opening presents, and last but not least...summer vacation! Those three months off from school are the greatest thing ever. I get to sleep in late, hang out with friends all day, go swimming, and just relax
without any homework or tests to worry about. Ah, summer is sublime.
Phew, I think that's it! Those are definitely my biggest favorite things. As you can see, I'm a kid that loves having fun - whether it's playing games, being active, using my imagination, or just pigging out on junk food. Ya gotta live it up while you're still a kid, am I right? Thanks for reading my essay, it was epic! Let me know what some of your favorite things are because I'm always looking to add more to my list. See ya!

My Favorite Things
Hi there! My name is Jessica and I'm in 4th grade. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite things. Get ready, because this is going to be a long list!
My number one favorite thing in the whole wide world is my puppy Coco. She's a golden retriever and she's the cutest, fluffiest ball of energy you've ever seen. I got Coco for my 9th birthday last year and she just turned 1 year old. Coco loves to play fetch and she can catch any ball or stick I throw for her. At night, she snuggles up next to me in bed and keeps me warm. Coco is my very best friend.
Another one of my favorite things is reading books. I'm a total bookworm! I'll read anything and everything - fiction books, non-fiction books, comic books, you name it. My favorite fiction books are the Harry Potter series. I've read all the books at least 3 times. I want to be just like Hermione Granger when I grow up - she's the smartest witch ever. For non-fiction, I love reading books about animals, outer space, and history. I check out a huge stack of books from the library every week. My goal is to read 100 books this year!
Sports are some of my other favorite things, especially soccer and basketball. I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old and I've been obsessed ever since. I play midfield and I've scored lots of goals for my team, the Red Rovers. Soccer helps me stay active and work as part of a team. Basketball is really fun too. I'm pretty short for my age so I'm a great dribbler! I love the feeling of running up and down the court. Sports teach me about determination and perseverance.
Of course, my family is one of my absolute favorite things ever. I have the best mom, dad, and little brother in the universe. My mom is a nurse and she takes care of sick people all day at the hospital. She's also an amazing cook - her spaghetti and meatballs are out of this world! My dad is a police officer who
keeps our city safe. He's super strong and funny. My little brother Tommy is 6 years old and he always makes me laugh with his silly jokes and games. We all go on adventures together like hiking, camping, or just having a picnic in the park. Family time is the best time.
School is another thing I love, believe it or not! Learning new things every day is so exciting. My favorite subjects are math, science, and art. I'm a total math whiz - I can do multiplication, division, fractions, you name it. Science is amazing, especially when we get to do experiments. This year we learned all about the planets, the water cycle, and different types of rocks. For art, I love drawing, painting, sculpting with clay, pretty much any kind of art. My dream is to become an architect when I grow up so I can design amazing buildings.
Those are some of my most favorite things, but I have lots more like ice cream, summer vacation, the colors pink and purple, singing, dancing, sleepovers with my best friends...I could go on and on! The world is filled with so many wonderful things to experience and enjoy. Getting to explore my favorite things and make new favorite memories is the best part of being a kid. What are some of your favorite things? Let me know!

My Favorite Things
Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my very favorite things in the whole wide world! Get ready because this is going to be a super long list. I just have so many things I really really love.
First up has to be my dog Rosie. Rosie is a golden retriever and she's the cutest, fluffiest, most adorable pup you'll ever see. I got Rosie for my 7th birthday and she was just a tiny little furball back then. Now she's all grown up but she'll always be my baby. Rosie loves to play fetch and go for walks and swim in the lake behind our house. Whenever I'm feeling sad, I just have to look into Rosie's big brown eyes and she makes me happy again. I love her more than anything!
Another one of my absolute favorite things is ice cream! Nothing beats a huge waffle cone piled high with scoops of chocolate, strawberry, and mint chocolate chip ice cream on a hot summer day. My family loves going to the Sweet Cream ice cream shop downtown and ordering those massively big banana splits to share. We always end up in a contest to see who can eat the most before getting an ice cream headache. I'm the reigning
champ so far! Ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Yes please!
Speaking of food, pizza is definitely high up there on my favorites list too. My mom makes the best homemade pizzas from scratch with garlic butter crust and every topping you can imagine. Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, pineapple - you name it, she piles it on. Then we'll gather around the TV as a family to watch movies and pig out on pizza all night long. Pure heaven if you ask me!
Of course, no list of my favorite things would be complete without mentioning books. I'm what you might call a
book-obsessed kid. I dog-ear the pages, smell the ink on the paper, crack the spines...you get the idea. I love getting totally lost in the make-believe worlds that books create. My room at home is overflowing with bookshelves stuffed full of novels, fantasy stories, mysteries, you name it. If I had it my way, I'd read for eight hours a day!
One of my go-to book series is Harry Potter. I've read all the books at least three times and I can pretty much recite them from memory. A few years ago for Halloween, I even dressed up as Hermione Granger, the super smart witch who's just about my
favorite literary character ever. Maybe someday I'll get my Hogwarts acceptance letter in the mail! A girl can dream, right?
Moving on from books to movies...I'm a total Marvel movies fanatic! I've seen every single one multiple times, from Iron Man all the way through to the newest releases. My walls are plastered with Avengers posters and I've got an entire dresser just for t-shirts with the different Marvel characters on them. Who's my favorite, you ask? Has to be the Incredible Hulk! I bet I could win in an arm wrestling contest against him though. Just kidding...or am I?
Another favorite thing of mine is traveling to new places. Our family takes an awesome vacation every summer and we've been so many cool spots - Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, you name it. But my number one favorite place so far has to be Disney World in Florida. Oh my gosh, it's honestly the most magical place on planet Earth! We spent an entire week there when I was 8 years old and I had the time of my life.
From riding the wildest rollercoasters like Space Mountain, to meeting all the Disney princesses in person, to watching the amazing fireworks shows every night over Cinderella's castle...it was a dream come true. I can't wait to go back again someday and be a kid forever in the "happiest place on Earth." Maybe I'll
even get to be a Disney cast member when I grow up and get to live at Disney World for real. A girl can hope!
Of course, some of my other favorite things are playing sports (I'm the star player on my school's soccer team), arts and crafts like drawing and painting, baking yummy treats in the kitchen with my mom, and playing make-believe games with my best friends Sara and Lily. Oh, and how could I forget my favorite subject in school? That's easy - RECESS! Getting to run around outside for an hour every day and let loose is the absolute best.
I could honestly go on naming my favorite things forever and ever, but I think you get the general idea by now. I'm a kid who loves life and tries to find happiness in even the littlest things, from cuddling my dog to devouring ice cream to getting lost in a magical book. The world is a great big wonderful place and I'm just super lucky to be surrounded by so many of my favorite things and people every single day.
Well thanks for reading my extremely loooong essay all about my favorite things! I hope you found it interesting to get a peek inside the mind of a 4th grade kid like me. We might seem easily entertained by the simplest joys in life, but that's what childhood is all about in my opinion. Now if you'll excuse me, I
have a very important tea party to get to with my stuffed animal friends. Toodle-oo!

My Favorite Things
Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm in 4th grade. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite things. I have a lot of favorite things but I tried to pick the most special ones to write about. Get ready because this is going to be a super long essay!
My Very Favorite Thing - My Dog Rufus
My number one favorite thing in the whole wide world is my dog Rufus. He is a golden retriever and he's the cutest, fluffiest, most adorable pup you've ever seen! Rufus came to live with my family when I was 6 years old. I remember the day we went to pick him up at the animal shelter like it was yesterday. As soon as I saw that tiny golden furball, I knew he was the one for me. I named him Rufus because I thought it was a fun, silly name that matched his funny personality.
Rufus is my very best friend. He's always there for me when I'm feeling happy or sad. Whenever I get home from school, he comes running up to greet me, wagging his tail a million miles per hour. He's so excited every single day to see me! Rufus loves
to play fetch and go for long walks. He gets so curious about everything and has to stop to sniff every tree, flower, and leaf along the way. I even taught him to do some tricks like roll over, shake, and play dead. Rufus is amazing!
At night, Rufus sleeps right next to my bed. He curls up in a little ball and I can hear his tiny puff puff sounds as he breathes. It's the most comforting sound in the world and always helps me fall asleep feeling safe and loved. Rufus is truly my best buddy and I don't know what I would do without him. He brings me more happiness than anything else in the world!
My Favorite Game - Minecraft
The next thing I want to tell you about is my favorite game ever - Minecraft! Have you ever played it before? It's a game where you can build absolutely anything you can dream up using blocks of different materials. You can construct gigantic castles, modern cities, magical fantasy worlds, or even recreate real life places. The possibilities are endless! Minecraft allows you to explore unlimited randomly generated worlds full of resources, villages, animals, monsters, and more.
I've been obsessed with Minecraft ever since I was in 1st grade and my uncle first introduced me to it. At first, I just built simple little houses and structures. But as I got more experienced,
my creations got bigger and more elaborate. My favorite thing I ever made was a life-size model of my school, brick for brick. I spent months working on it in my free time. It has every single classroom, the cafeteria, gymnasium, library - every last detail perfect down to the motivational posters on the walls!
Minecraft isn't just about building though. You also have to gather resources, craft tools and weapons, and defend yourself against monsters like zombies, skeletons, and creepers that come out at night. I've had so many epic battles and close calls when I've found myself surrounded by a horde of enemies in the dark! My heart still races thinking about some of those intense moments.
Besides the gameplay itself, I love Minecraft because it encourages creativity, problem solving, and working together with friends. Some of my best memories are playing online with my buddies and working as a team to construct amazing structures and go on adventures. If you've never played before, I highly recommend giving it a try. Just be warned - it's super addicting!
My Favorite Subject - Science
My favorite subject in school is definitely science. I'm fascinated by learning about how the world works - from the
tiniest atoms to the vastest galaxies in the universe. My favorite units we've covered so far were physics, chemistry, and space. I really want to be an astronaut when I grow up so I can explore space firsthand. Or maybe a scientist who studies black holes and the Big Bang theory. Isn't it amazing that we can trace everything in the cosmos, including human beings, all the way back to a single tiny dot that exploded into existence 13.8 billion years ago? Mind-blowing!
In science class, I love all the hands-on experiments we get to do. It's awesome when we get to act like real scientists and test out hypotheses ourselves instead of just reading from a book. Making those volcanic eruption models out of baking soda and vinegar never gets old! I also thought it was super cool when we got to build簧育簟簖簗簞簙maybe a plant test cries. Hoping I make at least 36 billion.

Things I Like
Hi there! My name is Tommy and I'm in 4th grade. Today I'm going to tell you about some of the things I really like. Get ready because this is going to be a super long list!
One of my absolute favorite things is playing video games. I love all the cool graphics and sounds. My favorite games are the ones with lots of action and adventure. I like being the hero who has to go on an epic quest to save the world. Battling monsters and boss enemies is so much fun. I also really enjoy games where you get to build your own worlds and creations. It's amazing what you can make just using your imagination!
Another thing I can't get enough of is candy! My mouth waters just thinking about gummy bears, chocolate bars, hard candies, and lollipops. Sour candies that make your face scrunch up are the best. I have such a big sweet tooth that sometimes my mom has to limit how many sweets I can have. She says too much sugar will rot my teeth. I always beg her for just one more piece though!
Speaking of food, pizza is definitely at the top of my favorites list. Is there anything better than melted cheese, delicious sauce, and your choice of yummy toppings all piled onto a crispy crust? Not in my opinion! My top 3 pizzas are pepperoni, sausage, and buffalo chicken. I could literally eat pizza for every meal and never get tired of it.
I'm also really into superheroes and comic books. Characters like Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wonder Woman are so
awesome with their awesome superpowers and backstories. I have a huge collection of comic books stacked up in my room. I spend hours reading about the adventures of my favorite heroes and looking at all the cool graphics. Watching the superhero movies is fun too, especially with a bucket of popcorn!
You know what else is awesome? Rollercoasters and theme parks! There's nothing quite like the thrill of looping upside down or plummeting down a massive drop at high speeds. The bigger and crazier the coaster, the better in my book. I get such an adrenaline rush from them. I've been to Disney World, Universal Studios, and a bunch of other big theme parks with my family. The rides, games, shows, and characters all make it such a magical experience.
Another big hobby of mine is playing sports, especially basketball, soccer, and baseball. There's just something so exciting and rewarding about friendly competition. It feels amazing to work together with your teammates to try and win a game. Some of my favorite memories are from scoring the winning goal or hitting a home run. Even when I don't do as well, playing sports is still a blast because it's great exercise and you make a bunch of new friends.
I could honestly go on and on about things I like, but I'm running out of space here. Let me just quickly mention a few more: animals (especially dogs, cats, and pandas), telling jokes and making people laugh, going swimming on hot days, art and drawing, science experiments, camping in the great outdoors. There's just so much cool stuff in this world to experience and enjoy!
In the end, it doesn't really matter what kinds of things or activities I like best. What matters is that I'm having fun and making awesome memories that I'll cherish forever. This great big world has so many incredible things to discover and be passionate about. I feel so lucky that I get to do what I love - play, explore, use my imagination, and just be a kid. Don't you wish you could be a carefree 4th grader again too? Maybe if you try out some of the things on my list, you'll get that youthful fun and excitement back for a little while. Thanks for reading, gotta run!。
