关于学生是否应该做家庭作业的英语作文

关于学生是否应该做家庭作业的英语作文

关于学生是否应该做家庭作业的英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Sure, here's an essay on whether students should do homework, written in a style that mimics an elementary school student's voice. The essay is approximately 2000 words long and written entirely in English.Should Students Do Homework? An Essay by a KidHomework, homework, homework! That's all teachers ever talk about. They give us so much homework that it feels like we spend more time doing work at home than actually being at school. But is all this homework really necessary? I don't think so, and let me tell you why.First of all, we already spend like a bazillion hours at school every day. I get to class at 8 in the morning, and I don't leave until 3 in the afternoon. That's 7 whole hours of learning, listening to teachers, and doing work. By the time I get home, my brain is completely fried! The last thing I want to do is more schoolwork. Doesn't everyone need a break after a long day?Secondly, homework just adds so much stress to our lives. I have soccer practice twice a week, piano lessons, and I'm also in the school play this year. When you add homework on top of all those activities, it's just too much. I literally have no free time to just be a kid and have fun. Is that really fair? And you know what the worst part is? A lot of the homework we get is just busy work. It's not even stuff that's helping us learn. We have to color in maps, or do ridiculous math worksheets with like a million problems. It's boring and it doesn't make any sense. If the homework wasn't actually helping us get smarter, then what's the point?Speaking of getting smarter, there's also a lot of research that says homework doesn't really help kids do better in school anyway. Some scientists did studies on students who got a ton of homework versus students who got no homework at all. Guess what? The ones who didn't have any homework did just as well on their tests! Maybe teachers should spend more time coming up with fun activities for us to do in class instead. But let's say homework did actually help us learn better. Even then, I still don't think we should get as much as we do. A little homework is okay, but the amount we get is just way too much. We're just kids! We shouldn't have to spend every night untilbedtime hunched over our desks doing problems and writing essays. We deserve to have at least a little free time after school to play outside, hang out with friends, and just be kids.I'm sure there are some kids out there who actually like homework and don't mind doing it. But for most of us, it's just a huge burden that adds too much stress and pressure to our lives. School is hard enough as it is. The last thing we need is more work to do when we get home.So in conclusion, I don't think students should have to do homework, or at least not as much as we get now. A little bit is okay, but only if it's absolutely necessary and helpful for learning. Otherwise, I think we'd all be much happier, less stressed kids if homework just went away forever. We're just kids after all, and kids need time to just be kids. What do you think? Do you agree with me or not? Let me know!篇2Should Kids Have Homework? An Elementary Student's ViewHey guys! My name is Jamie and I'm a 4th grader. Today I want to talk to you about something that's been on my mind a lot lately - homework! The teachers give it to us allllll the timeand I've been wondering, should we really have to do homework or not? There are good points on both sides, so let's take a look.On the one hand, I can see why teachers think homework is important. They say it helps us practice what we learn in class so we don't forget it. And it gets us into good habits of studying and being responsible. My mom says homework builds character! Homework also lets our parents see what we're learning and how we're doing. But on the other hand, homework can also be really hard and take forever! Sometimes I have so much that I don't have time for anything else after school. No playing outside, no watching TV, no goofing around. Just homework. It's no fun at all! And some of it is just busy work that doesn't really help us learn anyway.Another good point is that homework gives kids a chance to learn on their own, without the teacher's help. That makes us more independent and responsible. But it's also hard if you get stuck and your parents can't help you. Then you just get really frustrated. Here's something else to think about. After sitting at school all day, is it really good to make kids do more work at home? Wouldn't a break for playtime, sports, and other activities bebetter? I know I have a hard time concentrating after sitting and working for so many hours already. My brain needs a rest!Speaking of other activities, what about kids who have music lessons, sports practice, or other hobbies after school? When am I supposed to do ALL my homework if I have soccer until 6 pm? No wonder some kids stay up way too late at night trying to get it all done. That's not healthy! But then again, doing homework does teach time management skills. You have to learn how to set a schedule and use your time wisely. That's a really important life skill that will help us when we're older and have jobs and responsibilities. Although sometimes I think the amount of homework we get is a bit too much for little kids to handle.Another argument for homework is that it gets parents involved in their child's education. My parents always ask about my assignments and try to help when they can. But sometimes they don't really understand the material anymore since teaching has changed so much since they were kids. That can lead to fights and frustration between us.So those are some of the biggest points on both sides of the homework debate. What do I think overall? Well, I'll be honest - I don't love homework. As a kid, I'd much rather be playingoutdoors, riding bikes with my friends, or watching movies. Is that so wrong? At the same time, I do understand that homework helps me learn and get better at being responsible. It's kind of like brushing your teeth or eating your vegetables - you may not enjoy it at the time, but it's good for you in the long run. Moderation is important though. Here's my opinion: homework is okay and even helpful, but only in small amounts. Like maybe an hour maximum per night for kids my age. Any more than that is just too much for a9-year-old's brain and schedule. The homework should be quality practice on what we're learning, not just busy work. And it needs to be something we can do independently without too much help from mom and dad.Teachers, if you're reading this, please remember that we're just kids! We want to learn and do well in school, but we also need time to play, be with friends, be active, and just be kids. With some homework but not too much, I think we can find a good balance. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments below!篇3Should Kids Have Homework? An Elementary Student's PerspectiveHomework, oh homework, the endless battle between students and teachers! As a 4th grader, I have some very strong feelings about this topic. On one hand, homework helps reinforce what we learn in class and lets us practice important skills. But on the other hand, it can be really tough and take up so much of my free time after school. I go back and forth on whether homework is a good thing or a bad thing. Let me break it down for you.The Case FOR HomeworkI have to admit, homework does have some benefits that even us students can't deny. First off, it gives us more practice with things like math problems, writing paragraphs, studying spelling words and vocabulary, and reading books. The more practice we get, the better we'll get at all that stuff. It's just like when I was learning to ride my bike - the more I practiced, the easier it became. Homework is extra practice for our brains!Homework also helps reinforce the lessons we learn in school that day. You know how it is - you learn about long division or types of verbs or whatever in class, but then it doesn't really stick until you go home and have to actually do some longdivision problems or write sentences using different verbs. The homework makes sure we really understand and can apply what the teacher taught.Another good thing about homework is that it helps get our parents involved in our learning. When I have a tough assignment, I'll ask my mom or dad to help explain it to me. They'll re-teach me using different ways until I get it. This helps strengthen my skills and lets my parents see what I'm working on and how I'm doing. It's a team effort between me, my teacher, and my family. The Case AGAINST HomeworkAs much as I understand the benefits of homework, there are also a ton of reasons why I think kids shouldn't have to do it. The biggest one is that it takes away from time to just be a kid! After spending all day at school, I have a ton of other things I want to do - play outside, hang out with friends, join after-school clubs, read for fun, or just veg out and watch my favorite shows. But homework gets in the way of all that free time and freedom to just be a kid.Homework can also be really stressful, even for elementary school kids like me. When I have a huge homework pack to get through, it stresses me out and puts a lot of pressure on me afteran already long day of focusing really hard at school. Sometimes the homework assignments are confusing and I get really frustrated. Other times there's just way too much to get done before bedtime. All that homework stress isn't fun or healthy.Another argument against homework is that not every kid has the same home support system. I'm lucky that my parents are around to help me when I'm stuck and make sure I have a quiet place to do homework. But some kids don't have that - maybe they go to aftercare or their parents work really late. Or maybe their parents don't speak much English. Those kids are at a big disadvantage when it comes to getting homework done.My Compromise SolutionSo those are the main arguments I see on both sides of the homework debate. What's my own personal take as a 4th grader?I think a good compromise is to still assign homework, but to make it optional and just for extra practice. That way, kids who want more practice or need more repetition can do the homework. But it won't be required and won't be a huge stress for kids who have other obligations, struggles, or just need down time after school. To make this work, maybe homework could just be a page or two max of easy practice things - like 10 math problems, or ashort writing prompt, or a few vocabulary words to learn. Nothing too crazy or time-consuming. Just little refreshers and extra chances to practice.Or another idea - homework could be something fun that doesn't feel like homework! Like reading for pleasure, working on a art project, conducting a science experiment, or coding a computer game. Make it exploratory and creative instead of just busy work.Whatever the solution is, I just hope teachers can understand that homework isn't all good or all bad. It definitely helps us learn, but it's also really hard on us kids when we have so much of it piled on top of everything else we juggle during the day. A balanced approach that limits homework would go a long way. Those are my thoughts from a kid's perspective! Let me know what you think - should we get rid of homework altogether or keep it around in some form? I'm ready to negotiate a new homework policy!篇4Should Kids Have Homework? An Elementary School Kid's TakeHey guys! My name is Timmy and I'm a 4th grader at Oakdale Elementary School. Today I want to talk to you about a super important issue that affects all us kids - homework! The question is, should we elementary school students get homework or not?In my opinion, homework is a real drag. I have to come home after already spending like 7 hours at school, and instead of getting to relax and play, I have even more schoolwork to do! It's just not fair. Being a kid is hard work as it is. We spend all day trying to pay attention to our teachers, doing lessons, and behaving ourselves. Don't we deserve a break when we get home?I remember this one time, I had SO much homework, it took me literally 3 hours to finish it all. Reading logs, math worksheets, spelling practice, you name it. By the time I was done, it was already my bedtime! I was exhausted and didn't even get anytime to have fun that day. Where's the justice in that? Not only is homework a chore and takes away from precious play time, but I think it's also pretty much pointless. Our teachers already go over everything at school. If I didn't understand something the first time, how is making me do more of it at home going to help? It's not like my parents are teachers whocan explain it differently. They usually just end up getting frustrated and making me more confused!Instead of piling on homework, I think schools should try to make sure we really learn and understand everything the first time at school. Maybe they could go slower on some lessons or do more exercises and activities IN class. That would make way more sense than making us take busy work home with us.Plus, having too much homework can actually be really stressful for kids. With all the time it takes away from free time, it's like we never get a break from school. It starts to feel like school is our entire life. No wonder so many kids get burned out and start hating school! Taking a break after the school day is over is important.I'm not saying we should never have any homework at all though. I can kinda see why teachers might want us to read a few books at home or do a couple math practice pages over the weekend. But it needs to be way less than what they give us now. It should be just a tiny amount, not every night, and not tons of assignments. School is the place for learning and work. Home should be a place for downtime, playing, spending time with family and friends, and getting recharged.Speaking of family time, that's another big reason why too much homework is a problem. My mom works really late some nights, so if I have a bunch of homework, I don't even get to see her before going to bed. Homework prevents us from having quality family time in the evenings. And we're just kids - hanging out with our families and having silly fun together is an important part of our childhood that I think gets forgotten. So in the end, even though I'm just a 10-year-old kid, I got to put my foot down on this homework issue. A little bit here and there is okay, but giving kids as much homework as they do now is just cruel! It makes us overstressed, we don't get quality family time, and we never get a break from school to just be kids. Schools need to shift the focus back to properly teaching everything IN school, and leaving homework out of it as much as possible. That's my take anyway! We need to start a revolution against too much homework. Who's with me?篇5Should Kids Have Homework? My Big Thoughts!Homework, homework, homework! It's something every kid has to deal with. But is it a good thing or a bad thing? I've been thinking a lot about this, and I have some big thoughts to share!First of all, let's talk about why teachers give us homework. They say it helps us practice what we learned in class, so we don't forget it. It also helps us learn responsibility and time management, which are important skills for when we grow up. Plus, if we don't do our homework, we might fall behind and struggle in school. Those are some good reasons for homework, but there are also reasons why kids might not like it. For one thing, it can be really stressful and overwhelming, especially if we have a lot of assignments from different classes. It can take away time from playing, spending time with family, or just relaxing after a long day at school.Another problem is that some kids might not have a good place to do homework at home. Maybe their house is too loud or crowded, or maybe their parents have to work late and can't help them. That can make homework really hard and frustrating. And let's be honest, sometimes homework just feels like busy work. We're just doing the same types of problems or assignments over and over again, which can be really boring and make us lose interest in learning. So, what's the solution? Should we just get rid of homework altogether? I don't think that's the answer. Like I said, homeworkdoes serve some important purposes. But maybe there could be some changes to make it better for everyone. One idea is to have a homework club or homework help time at school, where teachers or tutors can help kids who are struggling or don't have support at home. That way, no one falls behind just because they can't get help with their assignments.Another idea is to mix up the types of homework we get. Instead of just worksheets or problem sets, maybe we could do more creative projects, like making videos, doing experiments, or writing stories. That could make homework a lot more fun and engaging!Teachers could also try to coordinate homework assignments better, so we don't have a huge pile of work all due on the same day. And maybe there could be a homework-free night or weekend once in a while, so we have time to recharge and do other activities. At the end of the day, I think homework can be a good thing, but it needs to be balanced and not too overwhelming. We're just kids, and we need time to play, explore, and be creative too. As long as homework is helping us learn and grow, and not just stressing us out, I think it's okay to have it.But those are just my thoughts. What do you think about homework? Should we keep it the way it is, or make some changes? I'd love to hear your big ideas too!篇6Should Kids Have Homework? An Elementary Student's ViewHomework, homework, homework. It's all we ever talk about at school! Teachers give it to us every single day, and our parents are always nagging us to get it done before playtime or watching TV. But is homework really that important? Or is it just a big waste of time that kids shouldn't have to deal with? I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I have some thoughts I want to share.First off, I get that homework helps reinforce what we learn in class. If we just learn stuff at school and never practice it at home, a lot of that knowledge might go in one ear and out the other pretty quickly. The repetition from homework does help cement those lessons in our brains. And hey, a little homework isn't the end of the world - a worksheet reviewing today's math lesson or a short reading assignment is no big deal. But these days, the amount of homework they give us is just way too much! It feels like as soon as we get home, we have tospend huuuuurs sitting at the kitchen table doing endless piles of busy work. Worksheets, reports, online assignments, reading logs, you name it. By the time I finally get it all done, I'm mentally drained and have hardly any time or energy left over to just be a kid - to play outside, daydream, use my creativity and imagination. Those are really important too, you know?Don't get me wrong, I actually like learning and don't mind a reasonable amount of homework. But the excessive piles of it we get nowadays are just overkill. It's overwhelming and stressful, especially for us little kids who have lots of energy but much shorter attention spans than adults. I can't be the only one who has gotten frustrated to tears because an assignment was too long or complicated, right? That's no way for a young student to feel.Plus, all that homework really eats into family time at home. My parents both work, so by the time they get home from their jobs and I'm finally done with my mountain of homework, we're all just exhausted. We hardly get any quality time to just relax and be together without the cloud of schoolwork looming over us. Not a great way to nurture strong family bonds if you ask me.I get that homework is supposed to prepare us for more responsibilities and challenges as we get older. But jeez, we'rejust kids! Shouldn't we get a chance to enjoy this carefree stage of life for a little while before being weighed down by deadlines and drills at such a young age? Let us foster our curiosities and creativity for a bit before molding us into little work machines so soon. There's just too much emphasis on homework, and not enough on actually letting children embrace the wonder of childhood. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying homework should be completely eliminated. Like I said earlier, some homework is okay, especially reading or a few practice exercises to solidify what we learned that day. But the excessive piles of busy work need to be scaled way back. Let us kids have some balanced downtime after school to recharge, explore our other interests and hobbies, and (ya know) actually be kids! A few pieces of homework per night is reasonable, but anything much more than that is just overload. If teachers absolutely must assign more work, at least let us kids do a lot of it during our free periods and study hall at school. That way, we can keep our personal time at home for family, friends, extracurriculars, and just good old fashion fun and relaxation. Doesn't that sound way better than our current situation - being chained to a desk for hours on end as soon aswe get home, deprived of true free time and playtime that's so important for a kid's well-being? I sure think so.At the end of the day, a childhood consumed by endless piles of homework robs kids of our childhoods. We'll have plenty of time to be diligent students and hard workers as we get older. But we only get one beautiful, fleeting childhood. Let us hold on to that magical time for as long as we can before being overwhelmed by assignments and responsibilities. A moderate amount of reinforcement via homework is one thing, but the excessive overload needs to be rethought. Kids need balance. We need freedom to be kids. So teachers, parents, educators - let's loosen the reins on homework a little, okay? Our young minds and childhood joy will thank you.。
