介绍
梨木台风景区是国家地质公园、国家森林公园，景区内峰峦叠翠，主要山峰80多座，主峰梨木台山，海拔997米。

这里峰林峡谷雄险，茫茫林海秀幽，潭瀑溪水长流，藤萝攀援缠绕，被专家学者称为“天津的神农架”、“北方的热带雨林”。

Limutai Scenic Spot is a National Geological Park and National Forest Park with running ridges and peaks inside. There are more than 80 mountains, and the main mountain Mount Limutai has an elevation of 997m. With steep canyons, beautiful and secluded forests, running pools and waterfalls, and twining wisteria, it is called “Shennongjia in Tianjin” and “Northern Tropical Rain Forest” b y experts and scholars.

Origin of Limutai
梨木台名字由来
梨木台原名梨木安台，寓意为平安之意。

梨木台周围生长了许多酸梨树，可用于治疗咳嗽、感冒、头痛、发热等疾病。

Limutai is formerly known as Limuantai, which has an implied meaning of safety. There are many sour pear trees growing in the surrounding area. Due to the lack of doctors and medicines in the past, the surrounding masses often picked the sour pears to treat the cough, cold, headache and fever, etc.
康熙十八年，曾发生大地震，次年春瘟疫盛行，死亡人畜无数……，而久居梨木安台周边的百姓却无一沾染疾病，原来是生活在梨木安台附近的居民常年食用酸梨的缘故（酸梨具有抗沾染，抗病毒、抗感冒的作用），百姓才逃过此劫。

康熙黄帝听后大悦，便把酸梨御赐为“安梨”，取其平安、安康之意。

因此康熙皇帝把“安”字御赐给了酸梨，于是“梨木安台”更名为“梨木台”，现沿用至今。

An earthquake once took place in the 18th year of the Kangxi Period, and then a plague was spread in the next spring which led to numerous deaths of people and livestock…, but none of the masses living in the surrounding area of Limutai w ere infected with the disease”. The strange affair was reported to the imperial court by the local officers。

It was found through investigation by imperial physicians that, the masses in the surrounding of Limuantai escaped from the disaster because they often ate sour pears (which can resist infection, virus and influenza). Upon hearing the news, Kangxi Emperor named the sour pear as “safe pear”, implying safety and good health. Since the character “An” was granted to the sour pear, the “Limuantai”was changed into “Limutai”, which continues to be used nowadays.

梨木台的森林和瀑布产生着丰富的“空气维生素”。

据专家测定，每立方厘米可达5000---10000个，是个天然的大氧吧。

负氧离子对人体很重要，它能促进人体新陈代谢、预防流感、增强机体抗病能力
Forests and waterfalls in Limutai can produce abundant “air vitamin”. According t o the measurement of experts, the scenic spot is a natural oxygen bar with 5,000-10,000 vitamins per cubic meter. The negative oxygen ion is very important to human body, which can promote the metabolism, prevent the influenza and enhance the disease resistance
3.珍稀物种RARE SPECIES
国家重点保护植物达几十种，家喻户晓的中草药更是数不胜数。

密林里还栖息繁衍着许多野生动物。

而且，在梨木台四季恒温18摄氏度的潭水里，竟然生长着北冰洋的北鳅鱼、南极洲的华江罗。

也会见到热带亚热带濒危物种蓝尾石龙子。

There are scores of plant species under the key state protection，as well as widely known Chinese herbs . Many kinds of wild animals multiply in the thick forest. And, the loach of the Arctic Ocean, Huajiangluo of the Antarctica and the endangered species of the tropics and subtropics blue-tailed skink can also be found in the pool which keeps the constant temperature of 18 centigrade.
4.独特植被UNIQUE VEGETATION
梨木台风景区森林是我国北方典型的原始次生林生态体系。

森林覆盖率达90%以上，更令人称奇的是，景区内生长着多种区域性植物。

梨木台因此有“绿色宝库，特种基因库”之美誉。

The forest in the scenic spot is the typical primitive secondary forest ecosystem in North China. The forest coverage rate exceeds 90%. There are many families of plants of different zones. Limutai is famous as the “green treasury” and “special gene pool”.
5.太古奇石PECULIAR ARCHAEAN ROCKS
景区地质景观奇特，是蓟县国家地质公园石英岩峰林峡谷典型地貌，是既有观赏品位又具科研价值的地质遗迹博物馆。

The scenic spot has peculiar geological landscape. It has the typical landform of Quartzite karst canyon of the National Geological Park of Ji County. The uncanny workmanship of the nature has carved the scenic spot into the museum of geological relics with diversified types, different forms, and high value of appreciation and scientific research.
6.山泉灵水RUNNING MOUNTAIN SPRINGS
梨木台四季水景不断，特别是夏秋时节，丰沛的天然水资源衍生出众多的山泉水，微微细流汇聚了潺潺溪河潭涧。

水映青山，山环水绕，水因山而清，山得水更绿。

Limutai has continuous waterscape in four seasons, especially in summer and autumn, the adequate natural water resource forms the mountainous spring, and the small streams converge into rivers and pools. Green hills are reflected in the water and surrounded by rivers. The rivers and mountains echo perfectly with each other.
7.古代长城ANCIENT GREAT WALL
这里还保存着1400多年前修建的北齐长城，蜿蜒曲折，蔚为壮观。

走进梨木台，灵动的溪水，婆娑的绿树，清新的空气，雄奇的岩画，一切让人遐想万分。

The Great Wall built by the Northern Qi Dynasty 1,400 years ago is still winding and zigzagging, presenting a splendid sight. Smart rivers, dancing green trees, fresh air and magnificent rock paintings in Limutai can make you lost in wild and fanciful thoughts.。
