The first
This is a story from a website called Kids Encyclopedia. An 11-year-old girl, who's just arrived in the UK from Syria, tells why she had to leave and how life in her home was. The girl is called Mana. Mana moved to Britain just three weeks ago, when her family moved to West Britain, from a camp in Lebanon. Her mum decided that Mana and her four sisters had no choice but to leave Syria after a falling plane destroyed their neighbor’s house as war and fighting in the country got worse and worse. But it's taken three years for them to begin their new life in the UK.
Speaking to the reporter Ricky, Mana has been explaining how the war turned her loved country upside down.

The second
The encyclopedia sold once every two months between 1908 and 1910. Some readers could put their collections together. Some titles include scientific subjects. A man called Arthur Mee had a strong interest in the "Book of Wonder", .In it, children ask questions.
Later, Arthur Mee invented The Children's Encyclopaedia. It was sold door-to-door. It was used by schools and for teacher training.
A year later, people published New Children's Encyclopaedia every month. The
title changed and it became My Magazine in 1914. Arthur Mee's Children's Newspaper appeared in 1919.
The Children's Encyclopedias sold 800,000 copies before people widely revised it in the early 1920s. The Children's Encyclopedia was written in French, Italian, Spanish and Chinese.
Arthur Mee's Children's Encyclopedia appeared in 1964.
At first, the Children's Encyclopedia appeared in brown. 1920 versions have blue binding. By the 1940s the binding is brown in color. By the 1950s, the binding is red.[3]

The third

Even when you’re not doing math, it’s all around you. When you use a computer to surf the internet, the computer is a machine to do math very fast. When people design your house, they must use lots of math knowledge. So enjoy math.
