Being wrathful he caught Oliver and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy Mr. Brownlow took the injured poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some mon ths as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day however Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared i n Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. He thought a new life was coming but he was wrong a group of thieves were waiting for him.The author created a group of bad men.Fagin an old man with a horribly ugly face and red hair was the head of those thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal.Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad temper.Monks Oliver’s broth er did bad things to hurt Oliver. He wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. He paid Fagin to trap Oliver into alife of crime. In fact they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily.Nancy a poor girl loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group because she loved him.
