One year ago, I was in great trouble. I work hard at English and devoted all my spare time to practise it. But

I failed to pass the mid-term exam, which made me great disappointed. So I asked my grandpa for

suggestions when I got to home. Hear what I told him, he said, “Exam results are sometime unexpected .

You can’t judge your progress by one examination.” He encouraged myself to work hard for long time to check my results. I took my grandpa’s advices. Now I realize that the process of learning is much more important and my English is more better than before. From my experience, I feel that we should listen to opinions from old people.

The teenage year from 13to 19 were the most difficult time for me．They were also the best and worse years in my life．At the first，I thought I knew everything and could make decisions by yourself．However，my parents didn’t seem to think such．They always tell me what to do and how to do it．At one time，

I ever felt my parents couldn't understand me so I hoped I could be freely from them．I showed them I was

independent by wear strange clothes．Now I am leaving home to college．At last，I will be on my own，but I still want to have my parents to turn to whenever need help．

Tom was one of my classmate in middle school. He works very hard and was good in his studies. Our teachers liked him very much. So he wasn't happy. He often looked very sadly. I wanted to know the reason.

No matter what well he did in his studies, his father said he hadn't been tried hard enough. I was very surprised after listening to that. Encouragement is very important. Harmful words can be very harmful. Lucky, Tom's father changed later and Tom finally became happy boy．

So glad that you are interested in my new flat．Now I would like tell you something about it．Locating i n the north of the city，this Residential Center is small with only six building．My flat，

which covers the area of 36square meters，

is in the fourth floor in Building 2．It consisted of a sitting room，a bedroom，

a kitchen and a toilet．When you enter into the flat，

you will find yourself in the sitting room．The sitting room is the part that I like best，

because it is brightly with a lovely balcony，

which I can enjoy the beautiful garden below．Although my flat is small，
