铁路作为远距离、大容量、全天候的陆路交通工具,以其功率大、速度快、效率高、过载能力强、适应性好的特点被广泛受到重视。中国高铁在“以稳为主、稳中求快”的宗旨指点下,取得快速发展的可喜成绩。SS3B型电力机车是第二代机车技术产物SS3型的改进产品,技术有承前启后的必然,也有被取代的必要性。

SS3B型电力机车调压方式采用了以单向半控桥式整流电路为调压理论基础的不等分三段半控整流电路,三级弱磁升速的具有弱磁与调压配合控制特的调速电路,供电方式是是转向架电机并联独立供电方式,SS3B型电力机车的制动方式是加馈电阻制动,此外,由于SS3B型电力机车的电气设备布置与电气控制等方面比SS3型电力机车设计的更加合理,这使该电力机车拥有恒流启动准恒速限压运行的调速控制特性和更优越的再生制动性能,本文重点讨论电力机车主、辅电路及电力机车的运行工况。
