这是圣诞节的早上英语作文

这是圣诞节的早上英语作文Christmas morning is a magical time of day. It is a time when families come together to celebrate the joy and beauty of the season. As the sun rises, lighting up the winter sky, the anticipation in the air is palpable. Children wake up early, filled with excitement and wonder, eager to see what Santa Claus has left under the tree. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm cinnamon buns waft through the house, making mouths water and hearts happy. The day begins with hugs and kisses as family members exchange heartfelt wishes of "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays". Laughter echoes through the hallways, mingling with the sound of Christmas carols playing softly in the background. The house is adorned with decorations – wreaths, ribbons, and twinkling lights – exuding a festive atmosphere that brings a sense of joy to even the grumpiest Scrooge. As the family gathers around the Christmas tree, the excitement grows. The gifts are wrapped in colorful paper and tied with bows, waiting to be unwrapped. The youngest child, filled with impatience, jumps up and down, begging to start the unwrapping festivities. With a unanimous agreement, the family begins to open their presents, revealing tokens of love and thoughtfulness. Seeing the smiles on each other's faces and the joy in their eyes, it becomes clear that the true meaning of Christmas is not found in the gifts themselves but in the love and connection shared between loved ones. After the presents have been opened, the family gathers in the kitchen to prepare a delicious and hearty Christmas breakfast. The smell of sizzling bacon and fresh pancakes fills the air. The children help mix the batter and set the table, eager to contribute to the festive feast. As the family sits down to eat, they share stories and laughter, creating memories that will last a lifetime. After the meal, the family takes a moment to reflect on the true significance of Christmas. They remember the reason for the season – the birth of Jesus Christ. A sense of gratitude fills their hearts as they acknowledge the blessings in their lives and the miracles that have occurred. They take a moment to give thanks and say a prayer together, expressing their appreciation for the love and blessings they have received. The day continues with various activities and traditions. Some families enjoy bundling up and going for a walk in the crisp winter air, while others gather around the fireplace to play games and tell stories. Some families may even choose to volunteer at a local shelter or donate to a charity, spreading the Christmas spirit to those in need.As the day comes to a close, the family sits down for a festive Christmas dinner. The dining table is adorned with candles and the finest china. The room is filled with laughter, conversation, and the clinking of glasses as everyone toasts to another year of love, joy, and togetherness. As the stars twinkle in the night sky, signaling the end of Christmas day, the family gathers for one last moment of serenity. They join hands and sing a heartfelt carol, filling the room with harmony and love. They express their gratitude for the cherished memories and the bond they share.Christmas morning is a time of love, laughter, and joy. It is a time to cherish the presence of family and friends and appreciate the blessings that have been bestowed upon us. As the day comes to an end, it is not the gifts, the food, or the decorations that we will remember most, but the love and warmth shared with those we hold dear. And as we drift off to sleep, we can't help but smile, knowing that Christmas morning will come again next year, bringing with it another day of magic and wonder.。

"No, come to think of it, son, I've never seen you children when you first saw the Christmas tree. I was always in the barn. Come on!"He pulled on his clothes again, and they went down to the Christmas tree, and soon the sun was creeping up to where the star had been. Oh, what a Christmas morning, and how his heart had nearly burst again with shyness and pride as his father told his mother about how he, Rob, had got up all by himself."The best Christmas gift I ever had, and I'll remember it, son, every year on Christmas morning, as long as I live."They had both remembered it, and now that his father was dead he remembered it alone: that blessed Christmas dawn when, along with the cows in the barn, he had made his first gift of true love. Outside the window now the stars slowly faded. He got out of bed and put on his slippers and bathrobe and went softly downstairs. He brought in the tree, and carefully began to trim it. It was done very soon. He then went to his library and brought the little box that contained his special gift to his wife, a diamond brooch, not large, but beautiful in design. But he was not satisfied. He wanted to tell her—to tell her how much he loved her.How fortunate that he had been able to love! Ah, that was the true joy of life, the ability to love! For he was quite sure that some people were genuinely unable to love anyone. But love was alive in him; it still was.It occurred to him suddenly that it was alive because long ago it had been born in him when he knew his father loved him. That was it: love alone could waken love. And this morning, this blessed Christmas morning, he would give it to his beloved wife. He could write it down in a letter for her to read and keep forever. He went to his desk and began: My dearest love. When it was finished, he sealed it and tied it on the tree. He put out the light and went tiptoing up the stairs. The stars in the sky were gone, and the first rays of the sun were gleaming in the east, such a happy, happy Christmas!他不知道说好,心里满是意。

christmasdayinthemorning圣诞节的早晨

christmasdayinthemorning圣诞节的早晨

Christmas Day in the MorningHe woke suddenly and completely. It was four o'clock, the hour at which his father had always called him to get up and help with the milking. Strange how the habits of his youth clung to him still! Fifty years ago, and his father had been dead for thirty years, and yet he waked at four o'clock in the morning. He had trained himself to turn over and go to sleep, but this morning itwas Christmas, he did not try to sleep. Why did he feel so awake tonight? He slipped back in time, as he did so easily nowadays. He was fifteen years old and still on his father's farm. He loved his father. He had not known it until one day a few days before Christmas, when he had overheard what his father was saying to his mother."Mary, I hate to call Rob in the mornings. He's growing so fast and he needs his sleep. If you could see how he sleeps when I go in to wake him up! I wish I could manage alone.""Well, you can't Adam." His mother's voice as brisk, "Besides, he isn't a child anymore. It's time he took his turn.""Yes," his father said slowly. "But I sure do hate to wake him."When he heard these words, something in him spoke: his father loved him! He had never thought of that before, taking for granted the tie of their blood. Neither his father nor his mother talked about loving their children--they had no time for such things. There was always so much to do on the farm. Now that he knew his father loved him, there would be no loitering in the mornings and having to be called again. He got up after that, stumbling blindly in his sleep, and pulled on his clothes, his eyes shut, but he got up.And then on the night before Christmas, that year when he was fifteen, he lay for a few minutes thinking about the next day. They were poor, and most of the excitement was in the turkey they had raised themselves and mince pies his mother made. His sisters sewed presents and his mother and father always bought something he needed, not only a warm jacket, maybe, butsomething more, such as a book. And he saved and bought them each something, too.He wished, that Christmas when he was fifteen, he had a better present for his father. As usual he had gone to the ten-cent store and bought a tie. It had seemed nice enough until he lay thinking the night before Christmas. He looked out of his attic window, the stars were bright."Dad," he had once asked when he was a little boy, "What is a stable?""It's just a barn," his father had replied, "like ours."Then Jesus had been born in a barn, and to a barn the shepherds had come...The thought struck him like a silver dagger. Why should he not give his father a special gift too, out there in the barn? He could get up early, earlier than four o'clock, and he could creep into the barn and get all the milking done. He'd do it alone, milk and clean up, and then when his fatherwent in to start the milking he'd see it all done. And he would know who had done it. Helaughed to himself as he gazed at the stars. It was what he would do, and he musn't sleep too sound. He must have waked twenty times, scratching a match each time to look at his old watch-midnight, and half past one, and then two o'clock. At a quarter to three he got up and put on his clothes. He crept downstairs, careful of the creaky boards, and let himself out. The cows looked at him, sleepy and surprised. It was early for them too.He had never milked all alone before, but it seemed almost easy. He kept thinking about his father's surprise. His father would come in and get him, saying that he would get things started while Rob was getting dressed. He'd go to the barn, open the door, and then he'd go get the two big empty milk cans. But they wouldn't be waiting or empty, they'd be standing in the milk-house,filled."What the--," he could hear his father exclaiming. He smiled and milked steadily, two strong streams rushing into the pail, frothing and fragrant. The task went more easily than he had ever known it to go before. Milking for once was not a chore. It was something else, a gift to his father who loved him. He finished, the two milk cans were full, and he covered them and closed the milk-house door carefully, making sure of the latch.Back in his room he had only a minute to pull off his clothes in the darkness and jump into bed, for he heard his father up. He put the covers over his head to silence his quick breathing. The door opened."Rob!" His father called. "We have to get up, son, even if it is Christmas.""Aw-right," he said sleepily. The door closed and he lay still, laughing to himself. In just a few minutes his father would know. His dancing heart was ready to jump from his body. The minutes were endless--ten, fifteen, he did not know how many--and he heard his father's footsteps again. The door opened and he lay still."Rob!""Yes, Dad--"His father was laughing, a queer sobbing sort of laugh."Thought you'd fool me, did you?" His father was standing by his bed, feeling for him, pulling away the cover."It's for Christmas, Dad!"He found his father and clutched him in a great hug. He felt his father's arms go around him. It was dark and they could not see each other's faces."Son, I thank you. Nobody ever did a nicer thing--""Oh, Dad, I want you to know--I do want to be good!" The words broke from him of their own will. He did not know what to say. His heart was bursting with love.He got up and pulled on his clothes again and they went down to the Christmas tree. Oh what a Christmas, and how his heart had nearly burst again with shyness and pride as his father told his mother and made the younger children listen about how he, Rob, had got up all by himself."The best Christmas gift I ever had, and I'll remember it, son every year on Christmas morning, so long as I live."They had both remembered it, and now that his father was dead, he remembered it alone: that blessed Christmas dawn when, alone with the cows in the barn, he had made his first gift of true love. This Christmas he wanted to write a card to his wife and tell her how much he loved her, it had been a long time since he had really told her, although he loved her in a very special way, much more than he ever had when they were young. He had been fortunate that she had loved him. Ah, that was the true joy of life, the ability to love. Love was still alive in him, it still was.It occurred to him suddenly that it was alive because long ago it had been born in him when he knew his father loved him. That was it: Love alone could awaken love. And he could give the gift again and again. This morning, this blessed Christmas morning, he would give it to his beloved wife. He had never thought of it before, taking for granted the tie of their blood. (Para. 13)

He had never thought of the fact that his father loved him because he took the relationship of father and son as a matter of course. He had never given this another thought.
Conclusion of the text
The central idea of this story is expressed in the statement that love alone can waken love. It means that love is always mutual and always begins with giving. In view of the growing lack of human warmth partly due to the fierce competition in modern society, this idea appears all the more important. In the first part, Rob, the hero, “woke suddenly and completely” at four o’clock on Christmas morning. Facing the night and the flashing stars outside the window, his thoughts return to the Christmas morning decades ago when he was fifteen years old. The second part is to write from his memories of the childhood back to reality, back to the “Christmas morning this year”. In the last part of the story, Rob begins to trim the tree and prepare to celebrate this Christmas with his wife. The story is written to convey the idea of universal love as advocated by Christianity. We can know it from the Christmas gifts given by son to father, and by husband to wife. In order to express this theme, the author uses flashback to show us the Christmas morning when Rob was fifteen years old.At the very beginning, Rob was the father of an “empty nest family”. He was no longer young, and his children had grown up and left home. He lived only with his wife, but still could not change the habit which wakes up at four o'clock, because this was the time his father called his up to milk the cow. This is the exposition of the story. Then we can see a small conflict between Rob and his wife. His wife thought it was not worth trimming the Christmas tree, but Rob said: “Even if there are only the two of us, let's have a Christmas of our own.” At last, his wife said “Let's not trim the tree until tomorrow” because she was very tired today. Rob had agreed, “and the tree was still out by the back door”. Just this small conflict brought Rob back to his childhood. In the next part, the author begins to uses flashback to tell Rob’s childhood to the readers. “He slipped back in time, as he did so easily nowadays”. The author brings us back to the earlier time through this sentence. That is a usual morning before Christmas Day when Rob was only fifteen years old. He heard a conversationbetween his father and mother by chance. This was also a small conflict between his father and mother. His father did not want to called him up so early every day because “h e’s growing so fast, and he needs his sleep”. But his mother did not think so. She said: “He isn't a child any more. It's time he took his turn.” Rob was shocked. From this conversation, he had understood that his father loved him strongly. Before this, he regarded the relationship between father and him as the very natural blood relationship, and he also did not care much about the love from his father. But this conversation changed his opinion. So he decided to do something special to make his father happy. This is the complication of the story.Next is the climax of the story. Rob “laughed to himself as he gazed at the stars”. “It was what he would do, and he mustn't sleep too soundly”. “He must have waked twenty times, striking a match each time to look at his old watch”. All these descriptions express Rob’s anxiety. At a quarter to three he got up to fetch some hay for each cow and milked. The task went more easily than he had ever known it to before. Milking alone was not that hard, moreover, this was a Christmas gift for father. He finished milking, and went back to his room. He had only a minute to pull off his clothes and jump into bed, before he heard his father get up. Father found what Rob had done, and the he was laughing, a queer sobbing sort of a laugh. “He found his father and clutched him in a great hug. He felt his father's arms go around him”. Father was too excited to say anything. This is the climax of the story. So far, his memories are over.In the last part, Rob’s thoughts returned to the reality. “They had both remembered it, and now that his father was dead he remembered it alone: that blessed Christmas dawn when, along with the cows in the barn, he had made his first gift of true love”. Rob remembered his wife. He remembered the conversation between his wife and himself this morning. He was regret to make a conflict with his wife. Just like in his fifteen, he did the same thing this evening: trimming the tree himself. “He then went to his library and brought the little box that contained his special gift to his wife, a diamond brooch, not large, but beautiful in design”. But he was not satisfied. He wanted to tell her—to tell her how much he loved her. Then we can see the resolution. “How fortunate that he had been able to love. That was the true joy of life, the ability to love. For he was quite sure that some people were genuinely unable to love anyone. But love was alive in him; it still was”.It occurred to him suddenly that it was alive because long ago it had been born in him when he knew his father loved him. That was it: love alone could waken love.。

圣诞节的早上英语作文

圣诞节的早上英语作文

圣诞节的早上英语作文Christmas Morning。

Christmas is a special holiday celebrated all over the world. It is a time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. One of the most magical moments of Christmas is waking up on Christmas morning to see what Santa Claus has left under the tree.As a child, I would always wake up early on Christmas morning, eagerly anticipating the moment when I couldfinally see what Santa had brought me. I would tiptoe down the stairs, trying not to wake up my parents, and peek into the living room to see the brightly lit Christmas tree and the presents piled high underneath. The excitement of Christmas morning was almost too much to bear. I would tear open my presents one by one, savoring each moment and reveling in the joy of the holiday season. The smell of fresh pine from the tree, the sound ofcarolers singing outside, and the warmth of the fireplaceall combined to create a magical atmosphere that I will never forget. As I grew older, the magic of Christmas morning never faded. Even now, as an adult, I still wake up early on Christmas morning, eager to see what surprises await me under the tree. Although the presents may not be as important as they once were, the joy of spending time with family and loved ones is what truly makes Christmas special. In conclusion, Christmas morning is a magical time that is cherished by people of all ages. It is a time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together and celebrate the holiday season. Whether you are opening presents, enjoyinga festive meal, or simply spending time with those you love, Christmas morning is a time to be cherished and remembered for years to come.。

Christmas morning 圣诞的早晨A light drizzle was falling as my sister Jill and I ran out of the Methodist Church, eager to get home and play with the presents that Santa had left for us and our baby sister, Sharon. Across the street from the church was a Pan American gas station where the Greyhound bus stopped. It was closed for Christmas, but I noticed a family standing outside the locked door, huddled under the narrow overhang in an attempt to keep dry. I wondered briefly why they were there but then forgot about them as I raced to keep up with Jill.Once we got home, there was barely time to enjoy our presents. We had to go off to our grandparents’ house for our annual Christmas dinner. As we drove down the highway through town, I noticed that the family was still there, standing outside the closed gas station. My father was driving very slowly down the highway. The closer we got to the turnoff for my grandparents’ house, the slower the car went. Suddenly, my father U-turned in the middle of the road and sa id, “I can’t stand it!”“What?” asked my mother.“It's those people back there at the Pan Am, standing in the rain. They've got children. It's Christmas. I can’t stand it.”When my father pulled into the service station, I saw that there were five of them: the parents and three children — two girls and a small boy.My father rolled down his window. “Merry Christmas,” he said.“Howdy,” the man replied. He was very tall and had to stoop slightly to peer into the car.Jill, Sharon, and I stared at the children, and they stared back at us.“You waiting on the bus?” my father asked. The man said that they were. They were going to Birmingham, where he had a brother and prospects of a job.“Well, that bus isn’t going to come along for several hours, and you’re getting wet standing here. Winborn’s just a couple miles up the road. They’ve got a shed with a cover there, and some benches,” my father said. “Why don't y’all get in the car and I’ll run you up there.”The man thought about it for a moment, and then he beckoned to his family. They climbed into the car. They had no luggage, only the clothes they were wearing. Once they settled in, my father looked back over his shoulder and asked the children if Santa had found them yet. Three glum faces mutely gave him his answer.“Well, I didn’t think so,” my father said, winking at my mother, “because when I saw Santa this morning, he told me that he was having trouble finding all, and he asked me if he could leave your toys at my house. We'll just go get them be fore I take you to the bus stop.”All at once, the three children's faces lit up, and they began to bounce around in the back seat, laughing and chattering. When we got out of the car at our house, the three children ran through the front door and straight to the toys that were spread out under our Christmas tree. One of the girls spied Jill’s doll and immediately hugged it to her breast. I remember that the little boy grabbed Sharon’s ball. And the other girl picked up something of mine. All this happened a long time ago, but the memory of it remains clear. That was the Christmas when my sisters and I learned the joy of making others happy. My mother noticed that the middle child was wearing a short-sleeved dress, so she gave the girl Jill’s only sweater to wear.My father invited them to join us at our grandparents’ for Christmas dinner, but the parents refused. Even when we all tried to talk them into coming, they were firm in their decision.Back in the car, on the way to Winborn, my father asked the man if he had money for bus fare. His brother had sent tickets, the man said.My father reached into his pocket and pulled out two dollars, which was all he had left until his next payday. He pressed the money into the man’s hand. The man tried to give it back, but my father insisted. “It’ll be late when you get to Birmingham, and these children will be hungry before then. Take it. I’ve been broke before, and I know what it’s like when you can’t feed your family.”We left them there at the bus stop in Winborn. As we drove away, I watched out the window as long as I could, looking back at the little gihugging her new doll..- 1 - / 1。
