I am a student at the University of Iowa who will graduate this month (May 2011) with degrees in Political Science and International Studies. In addition, I am also TESOL/TEFL Certified and have participated in several teaching practicums with college students.

Currently, I am a research assistant with the University of Iowa's College of Public Health. I also work as a teaching assistant at the University of Iowa--a position requiring excellent command of spoken and written English as well as exceptional teaching skills.

Although I have not taught English classes before, I have had two years of experience planning lessons and instructing students in the social sciences. While teaching at the University of Iowa, I earned Honors Commendations in the Social Sciences and Teaching the Social Sciences for my work with students. My current employers will also confirm that I am a highly competent individual who truly enjoys teaching and is very committed to her students.
