But only when we understand the true meaning and carry it out, we can be industrious and succeed easily.Why does it so important to persist?I think the reason is that if we always give up, we’ll rarely achieve anything and we won’t be able to develop new skills. ‘Failure is the mother of success.’ Just try to plough through the failures.I want to share one of my experiences with you. When I was running 1100 meters at school last term. It was hard for me to reach the end. I thought, ‘oh, no! I can’t do that! I can’t run anymore! I feel so tired! My heart has nearly leapt out! My legs are both out of control! But suddenly, I remembered the word that my mother has given me. “Never give up! To finish is also a kind of victory! You should be proud to take part in the race!” Then, I looked ahead, I found that I was the eighth one among 24 players! I suddenly felt confident and was running towards the end and finish the race. I felt proud because I had kept running.Another example is that the survivor’s in the earthquake. In 2008, the great earthquake hit Sichuan Province in China. Thousands of died but some of them survived because of their strong will to live. They were buried by the bricks and the rubble. There was no sunshine, no food even no water. As days went by, miracles continued to happen to them. Everyday, from TV and newspapers, we learnt and knew many stories about the survivors. There was a girl named Ren Siyu from Beichuan, another devastated area in the earthquake. She was under the bricks for two days with her legs trapped. When people came to her, they heard that she was singing the song Two Tigers to lessen the pain! In these stories, we know that miracles always happen to those people who never give up.So, never give up! If we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day!Never give up(1)To never give up, represents a strong and positive attitude of the life. When we should never give up? First of all, we must make sure that our clearly defined goals are achievable, and that our carefully designed means are practicable. And we set up our mind persisting. Do not, for one repulse, give up the purpose that you resolved to effect. If we want to achieve our dream, the best way is that never give up, never.There are so many problems in our life, maybe sometimes they will obstruct the way to our goal. Some people are readily to quit when they feel they cannot endure the difficulties of some work or they think they cannot find a way to finish the required task. Such people usually become upset and disappointed of failure and lose their self-confidence, although they virtually can do everything well.Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. Whether we succeed in the end or not, we will learn something, and what we learn will help us to become better, more confident people. In this essay, I will give you an example of the attempt of a great inventor of the world named Thomas Edison.I am quite sure that everybody knows Thomas Edison. He made many inventions during his lifetime. According to his biography, it states that he always met obstacles in order to invent something. However, he still kept trying in order to meet his goals. I personally think that this is the most important thing that made him reach his goals. Some scientists said that it was impossible to invent something such as electric light and movie projector. However, he could make them success. In my opinion, the greatest invention of Edison was electric light. I have learned that he got many hardships and failures, but he never gave up. He spent about two years to achieve it. He used to say that his successes came from hardworking more than luck or fate.In conclusion, I believe that everyone cannot achieve their goals if they always give up when they meet the obstacles and hardships. What's more, who knows, what will happen in the next 10 years?You might not be a famous basketball player, but you could become a good player in the basketball-team of your school. You might not be agreat pianist, but you play the piano very well and enjoy yourself after the heavy work every day. You might not be able to establish your own company yet, but you are just collecting experience and knowledge as a good manager, and maybe in 10 years, you will become the boss of your own company.Few of us have perfect lives, what I want to say is, don't give up working for your goal or your dream. If you succeed, you will taste great joy in your life. If you don't succeed, you won't have regret in your life because you have given your best.
