Tomorrow is a New Day ——Reading on Gone With the Wind American writer Margaret Mitchell wrote a work merely on the legendary place in the literacy circles of writers, her only work Gone with the Wind has become the United States’ best-selling works of fiction overnight .November 8th, 1900, Margaret Mitchell was born in Atlanta, home of a lawyer. Since childhood, the Civil War, which happening in Atlanta, has become the topic. Of course Atlanta became the natural background of the novel. Margaret has spent ten years’ time to write the novel and half a year’s ti me to cross-check fiction historical events involved in the specific time and place.Gone with the Wind is a novel describes love. Margaret used her female fine and smooth to grasp young women’s complicated psychological activities exactly when they are se eking for love ,modeling this novel’s complex figure Scarlett successfully .Sometimes, this figure was very familiar to us ,but sometimes very strange. Sometimes we could understood her,but sometimes we thought she was unintelligible. However, we could fell she was very authentic from beginning to the end , these were this book’s greatest achievements. Scarlett was young and beautiful but what she had did show her cruel and greedy. In order to re-energize her family property, she took her love and marriage aswk_ad_begin({pid : 21});wk_ad_after(21, function(){$('.ad-hidden').hide();}, function(){$('.ad-hidden').show();});business. She had three marriages, but she was not sincere at all. Finally, she found that, Ashley, the man she kept in mind constantly was weak and incompetent in character. But the man named Rhett Butler was worthwhile to be loved. From the view of appreciation of the beauty, the person who had a complicated character could not be intaken into a negative character simply. In previous novels, the author used to shape the character in a simple way. Gone with the Wind has broken this descriptive method. The novel by the characters presented to us are both positive and negative of the combination.Scarlett, the leading character in the novel, impressed me the most. So I want to talk something about her. Her character was very complex. She was childish and optimistic. She had a tense feeling and her feeling was apt to be revealed. In the meanwhile, she was self-willed and like a bear with a sore head. She was also quite responsible for her own action. She was not good at analyzing and introspection. These characters made her use six or seven years’ experiences to realize that the unwilling love was wrong. This kind of love was just a fine kink but not real exist. From another point of view, I appreciate Scarlett’s brave and strong. When she faced difficulties she would say: Tomorrow is another day. Yeah, what a reasonable sentence. It’s of great philosophic theory. It told us to be confident to life. When I meet difficulty, I will tell myself: tomorrow is another day.Gone with the Wind has a very significant position in our society. We feel America is an incredible and strange country, but Gone with the Wind uncovers her too softhearted veil, making people see many things that dirty and glorious are coexisted. It also has a special significance to adolescents. This novel becamefamous overnight as soon as it published. This novel which reached a length of 1000 pages shocked American. The movie Gone with the Wind was adapted from this novel. The movie made the novel even more famous. It is quite worth reading. Gone with the WindIn my childhood, I once prefer reading fairy stories which accompany with me in my alone days. A Book Report on Charl otte’s WebIntroduction:Charl otte's Web is a chil dren's novel by American author E. B. White, The book was first published in 1952, with illustrations by Garth Williams. Publishers Weekly listed the book as the best-selling chil dren's paperback of all time as of 2000.Body: The novel tell s the story of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship witha barn spider named Charl otte. When Wilbur is in danger of being sl aughtered by the farmer, Charl otte writes messages praising Wilbur (such as "Some Pig") in her web in order to persuade the farmer to l et him live. Thanks to Charl otte's effort s, and with the assistance of the gluttonous rat Templ eton, Wilbur not only lives, but goes to the county fair with Charl otte and wins a prize. Having reached the end of her natural lifespan, Charl otte dies at the fair. Wilbur repays Charl otte by bringing home with him the sac of eggs (her "magnum opus") she had l aid at the fair before dying. When Charl otte's eggs hatch at Zuckerman's farm, most of theml eave to make their own lives el sewhere, except for three: Joy, Aranea, and Nellie, who remain there as friends to Wilbur; but none of them can repl ace Charl otte. Conclusion: “But it’s unfair,” cried Fern. “The pig coul dn’t help b eing born small, coul d it? If I had been very small at birth, woul d you have kill ed me? ” The talk impressed me a l ot when I was reading the book. It is indeed true that every life shoul d be respected because all men are created equal, so are the animal s. I think that the true st ar of the novel is Charl otte, a character peopl e will never forget. The stories she tol d Wilbur, the lull aby she sang for him and the miracl e words she waved in her webs for Wilbur, everything she did touch every reader. There are tow scenes about Charl otte that impress me most. One is the scene of the meeting about choosing the right word to be waved in the web among all the animal s, and the other one is the scene that when Charl otte waved the word “TERRIFIC”, she talked to hersel f, as though to cheer herself on. She helped Wilbur for all her life, but she asks nothing for back. All things she did show a kind of self-sacrifice. How kind and l ovely the spider was! Some peopl e say that friendship is something hard to believe, to find and to foll ow. But see Charl otte, Wilbur and their happy life in a small barn, helping each other without asking for reward means friendship.A Book Report on Oliver TwistIntroduction:Oliver Twist, al so known as The Parish Boy's Progress, is the second novel by English author Charl es Dickens, published by Richard Bentl ey in 1838. Body: he story is about an orphan, Oliver Twist, who endures a miserabl e existence in a workhouse and then is pl aced with an undert aker. He escapes and travel s to Lond on where he meet s the Artful Dodger, l eader of a gang ofjuvenil e pickpocket s. Oliver is l ed to the l air of their el derly criminal trainerFagin, naively unaware of their unl awful activities.Oliver Twist is notabl e for Dickens' unromantic port rayal of criminal s and their sordid lives. The book exposed the cruel t reatment of many a waif-chil d in London, which increased international concern in what is sometimes known as "The Great Lond on Waif Crisis": the l arge number of orphans in Lond on in the Dickens era. The book's subtitl e,The Parish Boy's Progress, alludes to Bunyan's ThePil grim's Progress and al so to a pair of popul ar 18th-century caricature seriesby William Hogarth, "A Rake's Progress" and "A Harl ot's Progress". Conclution: In this book, Oliver, Nancy, Miss Rose are good, they are born in a worl d full of dark and sin. But the worl d in their heart remained a pure and kind heart. Finally, kindness over the power of justice over evil, although Nancy finally died, but it was her death to make the thief grotto damaged. Therefore in the novel, the spirit of Nancy and the reward of Oliver’s is a good return. But the sinful peopl e like the thief grotto, Essex, Bumbl e and Essex all had a tragic end.The writer knew cl early what to l ove and what to hate. He made every charter lively. I think that the poor boy Oliver Twist is the mirror of the writer’s chil dhood. Dickens’ family was very poor, so he had to work when he was very young. He had l ooked through the society of that time, so he began to write novel s to expose the dark side of the peopl e and the society. I think that, the peopl e in the thief grotto were just like the peopl e who d o bad things to peopl e (not only the rogues, but al so the peopl e in the high l evel who oppressed peopl e).At l ast, I want to say, peopl e must cl early knows that, what is kindness and what is evil. This is the book want to tell us most.A Book Report on Pride and PrejudiceIntroduction: Pride and Prejudice is a novel by Jane Austen, first published in1813. The story foll ows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deal s with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the l anded gentry of early 19th-century Engl and. Elizabeth is the second of five daughters of a country gentl eman living near the fictional town of Meryton inHertfordshire, near Lond on. It has become one of the most popul ar novel s in English literature and receives considerabl e attention from literary schol ars. Modern interest in the book has resulted in a number of dramatic adaptations and an abundance of novel s and stories imitating Austen's memorabl e characters or themes. To date, the book has sol d some 20 million copies worl dwide.Body:There are quite many characters indeed. The Bennet family it self has 7 characters, not to mention their rel atives and friends and the characters from Darcy’s side. Even so, each character is a distinctive individual so that the story becomes incredibly col orful. Just take the five Bennet girl s as exampl e. Jane is a littl e bit unsophisticated and too kind to even doubt others whil e her best sister and friend Elizabeth makes this fl aw up for her. She is independent and straightforward enough to make the prejudice part happen. Next comes the spiritl ess Mary who reads a l ot but knows a littl e. As for the youngest two, they seem to be simil ar but actually different essentially. Lydia is flirtatious and featherbrained obviously. Kitty, though is the el der one, always foll ows her younger sister steps and ideas, so she is more weak-minded than flighty actually. Pride and Prejudice is such excell ent work that has multipl e highlight s in both writing and content s. Each time reading it is a unique experience of travelling back to Austen’s time and l ooking into her inner worl d.Conclusion:After I read this story, I think that it must have been hard for Elizabeth to go through all those things in the story, and it must have been very hard making choices everyday of your life, in which both choices, whatever you choose, will change your life forever. I feel that this book is quite nice except it’s a bit too real, so if they add a bit of imagination in it, I think it will be great. It is al so a very nice book, if you say so. But I feel that they shoul d not think that money is so import ant, for money is import ant, but it isn’t as important as the characters in the book think. Mrs. Bennet is a very good mother, who wishes her daughters to be married well, and I think she can be better if she thought that money isn’t all, but amiability and l ove is even more important. I feel that this book is quite boring and I coul d fall asl eep when reading it. But, I say, only a few part s are boring, and most of it is quite nice. I think the story is one of the few cl assics that has a happy ending.A Book Report on Great ExpectationsIntroduction:Great Expectations is a novel by Charl es Dickens. It depict s the growth and personal devel opment of an orphan named Pip. The novel was first published in serial form in Dickens' weekly periodical All the Y ear Round, from 1 December 1860 to August 1861.Body:Miss Havisham was a rich ol d woman who had been aband oned by a bad guy. She lived with Estell a who had been brought up by her only to revenge men. Pip fell in l ove with Estell a, but Estell a despised Pip and always insulted him. Thus he felt ashamed of his poverty and his “highest goal”. One day, Pip’s tol d by al awyer that he woul d have a great expectation. He’s sent London to receivegentl emen’s education. Later, Pip l ost financial support because of his secret supporter, the fugitive whom the littl e Pip saved, was arrested and hanged. But Pip fulfill ed his expectation by working hard in India for 11 years and finally met Estell a again.Conclution: Frankly speaking, I don’t like Pip. I think he is kind of ungrateful. When he was informed of Joe’s visit, he woul d rather pay him to g o away. He was worried that Joe’s poor appearance, poor manners and uneducated way of speaking woul d ruin his gentl eman’s reputation. I feel ashamed of him, since even the prisoner knows the value of gratitude. It makes me rethink the definition of gentl eman. To my mind, kindness and conscience are two d efining attributes of a true gentl eman. A true gentl eman needs out side beauty, such as good appearance and good manners, but more importantly, he shoul d possess inner beauty. In my opinion, Pip gradually l ost his inner beauty which he once had in the gentl eman-making process. He is not a true gentl eman. He was only made a “gentl eman” void of gentl e qualities. The titl e of gentl eman in this novel reads ironic.A Book Report on The Call of the Wil dIntroduction: The Call of the Wil d is a novell a by American author JackLond onpublished in 1903. The story t akes pl ace in the ext reme conditions ofthe Yukon during the 19th-century Kl ondike Gol d Rush, where strong sl ed dogs were in high demand. After Buck, a d omesticated dog, is snatched from a pastoral ranch in California, he is sol d into a brutal life as a sl ed dog. The novell a detail s Buck's struggl e to adjust and survive the cruel t reatment he receives from humans, other dogs, and nature. He eventually sheds the veneer of civilization altogether and instead relies on primordial instinct s and the l essons he hasl earned to become a respected and feared l eader in the wil d.Body:The book mainly described a dog Buck, who was stol en from a rich comfort abl e home in the southl and and forced to work as a sl ed dog in the col d northl and. He was ill-treated by peopl e and fought with other dogs all the time. During his struggling with peopl e, dogs and the nature, he became stronger and stronger, more and more primitive. His final owner was John Thorton and John was the only person who really cared about Buck. However, John was kill ed by Yeehat Indians. The l ast tie between Buck and human was broken, so he answered the call from the wil d and became a primitive wil d animal eventually. Conclusion: During reading this book, I was greatly shocked by Buck’s strong will to live. His character shone brightly. He was cl ever and intelligent, had firm and brave character, had team spirit and l eadership. In some aspect s, he was better than peopl e. He had the ability to think independently and considerately, which I think is al so very important to peopl e, especially we student s. Facing the difficulties, he never gave up, but tried his best to overcome them. I genuinely appreciate it. In ad dition, I think more about the rel ationship between dogs and mankind. We always say d ogs are peopl e’s most sincere and honest friends, but in this book, most of peopl e treated dogs just as their sl aves. Maybe at that time, probl em of food and cl othing was major, so concern to animal s was l ess. Nowadays, what we seek is harmony and peace, so our concern to animal s shoul d be more and more.。

The one which impressed me most is 。

I brought this book last term。

The book consists of three versions: French,Chinese and English。

I read Chinese version first, which made my second read in English much easier。

I;m not going to talk about the fairy tale;s writing skills, writing style and what philosophy it contains。

Instead,I will pick out several sentences which moved me a lot and then show my feeling。

In part 4,there is ;Not everyone has had a friend。

; And later,in part 17,there;s ;It;s also lonely with people。

; The two sentences nearly have the same meaning。

A true friend is of a lifetime。

You may say that: ;I have a lot of friends, and we always play together and chat together;;; But in fact, friends are not thosewhom you always stay with。

Friends can be away from your daily life, can be out of connection for a long time, but they understand what you do and what you say all the time。

However, I was attractive by the essay of friendship for I was told the essence of friendship and learnt how to make friends with others。

Friendship is an eternal theme we examine and explore 。

But what is friendship? What is the real meaning of friendship? As we know, friendship is a life—long treasure。

With friends,we share our joys and tears。

Friendship is not a commodity with a price, nor should we alienate our friends by questioning or judging their virtues。

In traditional culture of China, most of the literary men admire the friendship between Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi。

They hold the point that mountain stream with a knowing ear is the luckiest thing and looking forward to this kind of friendship in their whole life。

Reading and writing are the process of drawing and inputting, while the other is the process of releasing and outputting. Read a book, after the author and a soulful dialogue, through the way of writing to record their own reading, municate and exchange with the author and more people to sort out their own thinking,is a matter of great significance. To write a good book, you must first read a Book carefully. If you do not read carefully and do not read through the whole work,it is very difficult to grasp the authors writing intention and the subtleties of the work as a whole.Mr. Zhao Lihong is a famous writer, has many works in Chinese textbooks,in the field of education and the munity have high visibility. For the sake of the same party,I had the honor of meeting him and receiving the books he gave to me from time to time. I cant live up to his kindness,Gesanchaiwu will read his book, write a book after reading notes. Think of yourself as a physics teacher, both literary conception and teacher Zhao still have a big gap,so write after reading notes put it in my blog, did not have the nerve to tell him. By chance,Mr. Zhao Lihong from the network search to my writing, very surprised, for my science teacher has given many awards, and mentioned on several occasions,so we are concerned about what I write.Miss Zhao is love I write these,a very important reason is that I read his works, generally read what he wants, and the text will I understand that out, carried out a series of good munication and dialogue with him. We often say, without investigation, there is no right to speak, this sentence is used in reading is also interlinked, and did not seriously read a book,it is impossible to write more appropriate reading notes.Reading notes there are three main forms: reading notes and book reviews, respectively.A book review is often a judgment of the value of a book. To say this book merits or defects, which is a sort of author of values, but also readers will interact with their own value judgment and the authors point of view,to find the meeting point of the process. Relatively speaking, book readers need to have their own certain reading horizons, read some of the same type of books, the author and his writing intention have a certain understanding, can stand on a higher level to look at this book. The book has three basic functions: one is to introduce the content of this book to other potential readers, arouse their interest in reading; two is the type of this book defines, let everyone understand that this is a kind of work; three is the introduction. Introduce some of the deepest feelings in your book and guide others to pay attention to the relevant content while reading. In terms of the types of book reviews,it can be generalized into the following three types: one is the introduction of nature books. This kind of book reviews are usually relatively short, and make a brief introduction to the basic situation of the book so that people can understand the basic information and core content of the book. Two,the book reviews of the evaluation category. For example,a novel, the first to introduce the story of the work, and then its characteristics, highlights, the main style, such as a summary, which will also involve some of the defects in the works of evaluation. The three is academic book reviews. On the basis of the above two kinds of book reviews, the author makes a further study from the theoretical point of view, and judges the value of the works from the perspectives of academic thought and academicstatus. This requires the author of the book review to have a solid academic foundation. In parison, the writing is free. If the target audience is peoples intention of writing is to remend a book to others, attracting everyone up and read the words on the target audience is itself,is in the process of reading a book in some aspects, especially feelings, then there is a sense of hair. It was not necessary to judge the value of the whole book,as long as there is a feeling in some ways, you can feel, write their own experiences to.If the basic function is the review content introduction, definition and types of works of reading, reading is the basic function of recording experience, elaborated understanding, seeking meaning. The process of reading, there is always some place to touch their own, while reading their own feelings and experiences recorded, the first step is to write the book. We often have experiences like this: a good idea in the reading process, because it is not recorded in time, and will not be returned after a few days. It is important to keep track of new feelings in a timely manner. After reading the whole work and go back to record these feelings, will find some can be bined together to illustrate a point from different angles, help yourself to further understand the work; if we can find a few points, will further highlight the significance of the work.It is not necessary. A book,if there is a section of special interest to you,you can e out from this section, expound their own opinions and ideas; you can also take the book with his own interest and occupation related content is extracted, the content about their feelings, but not with to other areas. Of course, you can also ment on the whole book and express your views and opinions. It is more emphasis on theory and practice,so that works with their life closely,Notes are also a mon type of reading notes. In reading,to a certain words more interested in,and will record it,and acpanied by one or two words of their own feelings and experience, these contents accumulated,is the notes.Compared with book reviews, book notes, more suitable for people just started to write reading notes for lianbi. Many people like to read books, but they just dont know how to write their reading notes. In the process of reading, encountered some better statements,it will be recorded directly. There must be a reason why you feel good about it,and these reasons do not have to be well written. Two or three words mean yes. In this way, while recording, while writing their own intravenous drip, not tired at all, after reading the book, the written text will e out. I have seen a teacher in my reading reading notes is one of the best teachers practice books on the Internet, copious and fluent recording more than 10 feet, nearly the length of words.Although their own feelings are not many,in order to extract the words from the book as the main, but for this teacher, after reading the harvest will be much larger than others. Recently,I have just finished reading a famou()s novel written by Margaret mitchellGone with the Wind, which is one of the most popular works among American novels. It took the auther about 10 years to finish this great novel, the only novel in her life. The story happened during the Civil War eve.Scarlett OHara,a 16-year-old girl, who was living in Tala manor in Georgia, was loving her neighbor Ashley Wilkes. However, after the war have broken out,Ashley Wilkes married his yonger cousin Melanie. Scarlett was so angry that she decided to marry a man she didn?t really love---- Charles long after that,Charles Hamilton joined the Army and died of illness in the war.So Scarlett had to act as a widow.Afterwards,at a donating dance party,Scarlett is acquainted with a captain named Rhett Butler. Then the flames of war approachedAtlanta.Everyone was busy leaving away from the war.Scarlett managed to escape from Atlanta with the help of captain Rhett.Having e back to Tala manor,Scarlett made up her mind to rally her homeland at any cost when she saw that the former manor had been ter,her second husband died in the fight, she was a widow again.Durling that time,Rhett had been loving Scarlett sincerely and warmly.Seeing that Rhett could help her rally the manor,Scarlett married him.Although Rhett had similar characteristic attracting her,Scarlett still loved ter, their only daughter died accidently,Rhett left Scarlett sorrowly. And then Scarlett realized that Rhett was the only one who could fall in love with her.The novel takes the US Civil War as the background. It takes Scarlett?s individual activity as the thread. The book show us a tragic love story .A couple who could have a perfect future, but finnally go in opposite direction. As a matter of fact, their charactristics have decided their tragic result inevitably. We feel sorry about the end because we are looking forward to a perfect end, just like Scarlett and Rhett. In fact, ferfect is always a excessive damand.I affirm Rhett. He brings excitement to Scarlett?s life and encourages her impulse to change and succeed.Like Scarlett,he goes after what he wants and refuses to take ?no? for an answer. He is humorous, intelligent and cynical with a hint of treason. He is really a respectable man.I think he finnally left because of love .Otherwise,he couldn?t have gone without hesitation.Ashley Wilkes is the foil to Rhett?s dark, realistic opportunism. If there was no Civil War,he is surely a nobility of grace and charm. But history cannot be changed. He bocame a victim of the war.His era was gone with the defeat of the war.At the same time,we cannot deny the fact that he had a chear understanding about reality, which just contribute to his tragedy. In this book, what I appreciate most is not Melanie?skindness or Rheet?s dedication and patience, but Scarlett?s courage to throw her long-standing morality and tradition whe faced with diffiiculties. At the beginning of the war,she didn?t care about this.In her world are endless dinner parties and dance parties. In her body are her father?s brave Irish blood and her mother?s noble French pure blood. She had a vast farm as her home. She had hundreds of slaves. This is Scarlett.,a member of noblity, proud and different. However, the war changed everything. Her mother died of illness. Her father bee silent and the farm was nearly deserted.Even food became a big problem. All the pressure was put on Scarlett?s shoulder. She must feed a family of 9 people in it.What a big difference of level. If all this happened to someone else,he or she may choose to the contrary,Scarlett choose to face the change of life bravely. How can we not admire her courage of to change herself.Life is like a mountain. The road can?t be pletely smooth. When we fall down from the peak,we may get hert ,we may get disappointed,we may feel despair. But if you want to survive, you must stand up to face it.It is obvious that is really a good book, even if a long time has passed away,it is still suitable for today?society. It is of great importance to change ourselves, change our value even our thoughts when our life chages. On the other hand,I think there is no real perfect in the world.Everybody has his shortings. It is necessary for us to learn to forgive others? faults. If we keep good-tempered,Ibelieve there will be more edy and less tragedy. Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice is a lighthearted tale of love and marriage in eighteenth-century England. It centers on the elder sisters of the Bennet family, Jane andElizabeth. Their personalities, misunderstandings and the roles of pride and prejudice play a lavishing story. This story is told from third point of view. From my perspective Jane Austen wanted to convey love wins over prejudice and to not just take in the saying of first impression but to look in the person's character deeper. Jane Austin was born in 1775 in Stevenson, Hampshire. Her family wasn't rich but managed to give her a decent education. She was the seventh of eight children of her father, a clergyman. Like other young women of her social class, Jane and her sister Cassandra were educated mostly at home in subjects of music, drawing, painting, needlework, and social behavior. Her father's encouragement and her own enjoyment in reading led Jane to became very well read. At fourteen she began to write little plays for home theatricals. She also wrote nonsense story's to entertain her family. Jane would spend the majority of the evening in the corner of the room with her manuscript and blotter observing the world surrounding her. She would write when the room was quiet and if she were interrupted, she would cover her manuscript with a blotter and continued when the room was silent again. Before Jane Austen died of cancer in 1817 at Winchester, she had already published six successful novels: Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park, Emma, and Persuasion, respectively. Jane Austen is now buried in the ancient cathedral in Winchester of her native Hampshire. Pride and Prejudice lets you travel through lives back then but also she portrays the lives of modern days. You can read it and you might be able to recall some parts of the book as your life, but in a different time period英语读书报告篇四Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century. The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty. How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

I extremely admire in the novel the senior fisherman#39;s will, he let me understand one person certainly must have relentless spirit, only then could obtain successfully. The novel description is one year near sixty years of age senior fisherman, when alone goes to sea in one fishing, fished one big fish, actually did not pull. The senior fisherman socialized several days after the fish, only then discovered this was the big marlin which one surpassed the oneself fishing boat several fold, although knew perfectly well very difficult to win, but still did not give up. Afterwards and further because in the big marlin wound fish fishy smell brought in several crowds of shark fish snatches the food, but the old person still did not hope like this to give up, finally highlighted encircles tightly, returned to the big fish belt the fishing port, lets other fishermen not admire already. When I read the senior fisherman think: Here to the seacoast really was too near, perhaps could have a bigger fish in a farther place... When, I extremely admire this senior fisherman, because he by now already projected on some fish, but he had not settled to the present situation, but was approaches the bigger goal advance. Again has a look us, usually meets one slightly is difficult, we all complain incessantly. We will be the motherland future, will be supposed to like this old person same mind lofty aspiration, will even better pursue even better, the bigger goal. When I read the big marlin start fast to gather round the young fishing boat hover, twined the cable on the mast, the old person right hand lifted up high the steel fork, leapt the water surface in it the flash, did utmost throws to its heart, one wail ended the big fish#39;s life, it was static static floats on the water surface... In the life, some losses are inevitable, we should treat by the optimistic manner, cannot be calculating. Finally, the novel sees by one youth the senior fisherman fully has 18 foot long big marlin in the measure, once more described this fish#39;s hugeness, explained senior fisherman overcomes the difficulty was big, non- was more common than. The novel eulogized the spirit which the senior fisherman fear hard and dangerous diligently did not struggle, we also should like his such, could not satisfy the present situation, should positively to above, do any matter all is relentless, meets difficultly must welcome difficultlyabove, could give up halfway in no way. Only has this, we only then can obtain a bigger success and the victory. To Regain the Nature of Goodness-- Review of Oliver Twist;Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens;, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century. He had ever managed his own business such as underwear production materials industry, alcohol and tobacco industry and so on. He experienced bankruptand lots of failures, but never gave up until he was at an old age. Where he falls over himself, where he picks himself up. While managing corporation, he constantly participated in the politic activities at the same time. He was sent to prison several times by police because of his aggressive comments on the policy made by local government. The articles written by him were numerous as he joined in about five magazines, which showed his extreme energy. The success of this book is never a coincident that all his experiences provided the thoughts and skills that were needed. It was said that this book had been published many times less than 《Bible》. Now, it is praised as the first full-length novel in the literary history of Britain, which is a valuable contribution to the world literature.《Robinson Crouse》was created when Defoe was inspired by a true story. In the 1800’s, there was an England sailor whose name was Alison; he once had a conflict with the captain, which was left on a small island. He had noting but sea and sand. With an amazing determination, he lived nearly five years and a halfand eventually found and brought home by the famous navigator named Luis in 1771. This event was once a panic in society at that time. He did not do a few special things deserved great respect, instead, what the sailor just did was some things necessary for survival. In general, he performed negatively rather than positively. But what Defoe described was the represent of new class of capitalism which was an ideal hero who announced the importance of work and development. He was against just enjoying life and content with that people should be full of curiosity, the desire of conquer and the sprit of risk to develop outward, which proved the convention of western ocean civilization. This book highly praised the work sprite and quality of persistence in human being, which had created the new way for western realism. The main plots of《Robinson Crouse》are introduced as follows:Robinson Crusoe was born in the year 1632, in the city of York, of a good family. As he always wanted to travel around the world by sea, he did not listen to his father’s sincereadvice and left his home, becoming a crew of a ship. They were attacked by pirates somewhere near the shore of Africa. After that he became a slaver. The life of being a slaver was actually tough and upset that he could not bear. Finally, he got a chance and he grasped it and successfully escaped from that place. Fortunately, he was saved by a Spanish vessel on the way to Brazil. When he arrived at Brazil, he started to manage plantation and he made a great fortune. He made up his mind again to make a voyage as some people suggested him sailing to Africa for trading black slave. He was knocked down again by his inclination to go to the sea. This time was beginning of his unfortunate. The ship encountered a big storm that they had never seen before. With six days’ and nights’ blowing and trembling, the ship was finally all swallowed up. No one had a life exclude Robinson who was rushed to the beach of an unknown island by waves. Although he luckily survived but he at the same time faced the challenge he had never experienced. In order to make a living, he began to transmit things in the ship to the island including grain, cloth, tools and so on. With thesematerials, he started his life in the island alone. Living such a lonely life that no one talked to him and sometimes he did not say any word at all for about one week, he had to read《bible》to fulfill his sprit every day. However, with the amazing determination and persistent labor, he built his own house, gained grain, tamed goats and made cloth with animals’ leather. Later, he adopted a wild man as his servant and named him Friday. At the period of time, he experienced plenty of disturbances until a British ship came here and Robinson helped the captain to subdue the rebels. After that, he was picked up back to Britain where he had been away foryears. When he went back home, his parents had already passed away. Robinson resumed all the profits of his plantation in Brazil and gave part of them to people who had ever helped him.One of the critics in Britain said: “If people want to grasp the sprit that is full of energy and confidence, nothing better than Defoe and ,《Robinson Crouse》. That is, as the classic adventure, doer and colonist, Robinson always has its valuable place in the history of didacticism.《The Book Thief》Everyone has the same start that he or she comes to the world crying and the same ending that is death. In the western myth, death is cold and chill with a long sickle in his handto reap lives and take people away from the noisy world. The relater in written by Markus Zusak was the death who wondered around the streets taking away lives as God told him. However, the death was not indifferent. He used his dark eyes staring at some people’s sprits. When he reaped people’s lives, he could become tender as well. There was one Germany girl called “The book thief” by him among all these sprits he focused on. The girl’s name was Liesel Meminger. She had ever stolen six books totally and written a fiction according her own experience. That was the reason why the death called her “the book thief”. The death was pretty tender to the girl: She lived a long life and finally passed away peacefully in her sweet sleeping. However, the death nearly took everybody’s life one by one around her: First, her father as a member of German Party was sent to the prison. Later, she watchedher brother being killed who was only six years old; several years later, her adoptive parents were murdered by Germany soldiers. Rudy, a boy who smiled a lot and ran like a bird was killed as well.Planes, tanks, bombs and so many other modern products were much more precise and efficient to take away lives, which made the death appear lots of times everyday. Dead bodies, wandering sprits and the busy death were the pictures described by this book. It was something to tell people that no truth in people’s life and death was the final meaning. And because of that the fiction also hid a question that where was the meaning of living when we faced the final existence of death? We can see from the book that the meaning doesn’t lie in the lifestyle of Hitler which is emphasizing struggling by oneself, standing on the top of the privilege and building his plan on dismissing others’life. Living like this is worse than dyeing directly. Likewise, the meaning of life does not lie in giving up thinking about life, disposing of inner humanism and ignoring and insulting lives which are filled with weakness. These Nazi people ignored Jews who suffereda lot, which resulted in the final ending that their lives gradually became noting with development of the World War Two.The massage 《The book thief》tries to convey is quite simple: It is the very reason that we can not resist death why the real stuff is the most valuable treasure God gives us. Every life, regardless of Germen or Jew and child or adult deserves to be respected equally. The girl’s name was Liesel Meminger who became an orphan after her father’s being caught, her brother’s death and his mother’s missing. What a great sorrow for such a little girl who wasonly years old. Inferiority, stubbornness, flimsiness and loneliness fill up her heart and she always longed for love and safety. She just wanted to get relief and suck the sprit energy from the words in the book stolen by her to prevent herself from loneliness. The life of Max Vandenburg who was a Jew deserved respect. In order to escape the ethnic cleaning, he had no way but lived a life in the basement of Beumer’s house like a mouse that could not exposed to the sunlight. What he eager for was a life withfreedom and dignity. When residents of Hammill Block hid in the bomb shelter for safety, Max took a risk going out basement to see the moon though the window at which he hadn’t looked for nearly2days without considering the threat from the air. He came back to the basement and wrote the beautiful but desperate sentence:“Stars lighted up my eyes while looking though out the window of Hammill Block.” The rights of being loved, living and freedom combined together and that is the respect to lives. They always shouted to love and concern which has surpassed concept of racial, sexism, age, blood relationship and so on. In , the doer was Liesel’s adoptive father-Hans Hubermann. He respected every life. He helped his adopted daughter to scatter the nightmare, strake her sorrow, teach her writing and reading and give her endless love. In spite of knowing about the dander of taking Jews in, he decided to protect Max Vandenburg as much as he could. When he watched Jews were captured by Germen on the street, he couldn’t help approaching and giving the old Jew a piece of loaf in his hand. He was beat heavily by the Germany soldiers because of that. The same thing happened whenthe person was Leisel’s adoptive mother, Rose Hubermann who had this kind of love as well. She yet couldn’t know a lot about her daughter’s inner world like his husband did, but she could hold her daughter’s hands firmly while the plane throwing bombs. The smart, strong and bold woman who brought the hot food to Max at the first time accepted him with her real action. This kind of parents had this kind of kid who’s like Liesel. She read books for people who hid in the shelter when bombs exploded outside in order to comfort them. She lived with Max and Bowman’s. They loved each other, cared each other and enjoyed mutual respect and emotion, finally becoming relatives who were bone of the bone and fresh as close as fresh and blood. She changed this kind of emotion as the deep sympathy to the whole Jews. In , it was the war brought by Hitler that killed numerous people like the couple of Bowman as one hand, on the other hand, it was the people who ought to havebeen already forgotten that survived with the help of Bowman. They were “the book thief” Liesel,Max and so on. On the one side, there was nonsense death and destruction going on, on the other side, love that resisted death and subdued death was being created. This was such a complex world that made death confused and moved deeply. How to Write a Book/Reading Report? Teachers love to assign book reports. Did you ever wonder why? It centers on the elder sisters of the Bennet family, Jane and Elizabeth. Before Jane Austen died of cancer in 1817 at Winchester, she had already published six successful novels: Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey,Mansfield Park, Emma, and Persuasion, respectively. Jane Austen is now buried in the ancient cathedral in Winchester of her native Hampshire. Pride and Prejudice lets you travel through lives back then but also she portrays the lives of modern days. You can read it and you might be able to recall some parts of the book as your life, but in a different time period英语读书报告范文二:Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquerevery difficulty. Although I don’t t hink goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.。

读后感英文(通用4篇)英文读后感范文模板篇一many people simply regard pride and prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. she perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters.the characters have their own personalities. mrs. bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. mr. bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, mr. darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. even the five daughters in bennet family are very different. jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. mary likes reading classic books. (actually she is a pedant.) kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, lydia. lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. when i read the book, i can always find the same personalities in the society now. that is why i think this book is indeed the representative of the society in britain in the 18th century.the family of gentleman in the countryside is jane austen’s favourite topic. but this little topic can reflect big problems. it concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in britain in her century. you can find these from the very beginning of this book.the first sentence in this book is impressive. it reads: “it is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife”。

Tomorrow is a New Day ——Reading on Gone With the WindAmerican writer Margaret Mitchell wrote a work merely on the legendary place in the literacy circles of writers, her only work Gone with the Wind has become the United States’ best-selling works offiction overnight .November 8th, 1900, MargaretMitchell was born in Atlanta, home of a lawyer. Since childhood, the Civil War, which happening in Atlanta, has become the topic. Of course Atlanta became the natural background of the novel. Margaret has spentten years’ time to write the novel and half a year’s time to cross-check fiction historical events involved in the specific time and place.Gone with the Wind is a novel describes love. Margaret used her female fine and smooth to grasp young women’s complicated psychological activities exactly when they are seeking for love ,modeling this novel’s complex figure Scarlettsuccessfully .Sometimes, this figure was very familiarto us ,but sometimes very strange. Sometimes we could understood her,but sometimes we thought she was unintelligible. However, we could fell she was very authentic from beginning to the end , these were this book’s greatest achievements. Scarlett was young and beautiful but what she had did show her cruel and greedy. In order to re-energize her family property, she took her love and marriage aswk_ad_begin({pid : 21});wk_ad_after(21, function(){$('.ad-hidden').hide();},function(){$('.ad-hidden').show();});business. She waschildish and optimistic. When she faceddifficulties she would say: Tomorrow is another day. Yeah, what a reasonable sentence. It’s of great philosophic theory. It told us to be confident to life. When I meet difficulty, I will tell myself: tomorrowis another day.Gone with the Wind has a very significant position in our society. We feel America is an incredible and strange country, but Gone with the Wind uncovers her too softhearted veil, making people see many things that dirty and glorious are coexisted. It also has a special significance to adolescents. This novel became famous overnight as soon as it published. Gone with the Wind is one of the novel I have been touched by.Because the chief actress is the perfect woman whoI appreciate. Hero scarlett body of the rebel spirit and the pioneering spirit. We know Scarlett is a woman who born in a nation at war. she is a beautiful girl and has vitality. She also has a fall effortlessly love. The two of the united states is very stressful. Theauthor is Vicky Phillips.Vicky Phillips is a pioneerin adult education and distance learning, and founder and CEO of “”.She is the author of the well-known book Never Too Late to Learn: The Adult Student’s Guide to College. This paper is a business trip around the run into a problem launch. once the author on a business trip a man asked her what she did for a living. The author gave him an honest answer without think. To make him understand, the author explained a lot.Through detailed introduction of the author, we got she designed America’s first online counseling center for distance learners. Distance learning, or educational programs where pupil and professor never meet face-to-face, are nothing new. And the author taught psychology and career development .Her post is the World Wide Web. Posting assignments to electronic bulletin boards and sending graded papers across the international phone lines in traffic-free email packets. From the author, it is hard to imagine teaching anywhere other than in the liberal freedom that is cyberspace. In cyberspace, teachers listen, read, comment and reflect on what students have tosay--each of them in turn .What they know, they must communication to teachers inwk_ad_begin({pid : 21});wk_ad_after(21, function(){$('.ad-hidden').hide();},function(){$('.ad-hidden').show();});words .They cannot sit passively in the back row twiddling their mental thumbs as the clock ticks away. This can be very good to promote students' autonomous learning, let the students from the heart to learn. What’s more , Education in Cyberspace is beneficial to the old .They are telecommuting to campus because they could not ,or would not ,uproot their careers and kids or grandkids to move to a college campus—an entity modeled after the learning monasteries of medieval times .A cyber-education suits the old because it respects their abilities to define for themselves what knowledge is and to go afterit .It encourages them to argue their points and their perspectives without the interference of a professor, who might be tempted to step in to “clam down ”or “refocus” an otherwise wonderfully enlightening classroom debate . In today's society, some people think that, along with the rapid popularization of the Internet, network education will be on the traditional education in a profound revolution, will eventually replace the traditional education. There is no denying the fact that set up network school and develop the network education, education teaching reform to bring new life and opportunity, but I still think: the network education can't replace the traditional education.First, network education the drawbacksTo guarantee the quality of network teaching depend on many factors common USES, such as teaching both parties must have a computer hardware technology environment, must have access to, network must be clear, more important is, teaching the two sides also must have appropriate technology level. In addition, the network teaching because of the space, the teacher unique personality charm, sings in the teaching with the student emotion, moral, of knowledge and ability to achieve the effect of teaching, the teacher also difficult to be network teaching the multi-level teaching and teach students in accordance with their aptitude, some in the name of the upper borrow online, all day in the stroll online. Most online schools cannot form new mode of learning, and is still traditional education model alternatives. An online school quality also is intermingled, much online service position is not clear. Second, the advantages of the traditional educationTraditional education is a closed, force-feeding teaching too, but its basic form position is still network education cannot replace. Thetraditional education network education have class than study atmosphere, the teachers and students to exchange, classroom teaching is easy to control, easy to learning motivation and other advantages, inaddition, documented learning resources networkdigital learningresources than more easy to use and carry, network education is also has many advantages, but it can only to the traditional education in a supplementary role, should not also can't replace the traditional education. With the development of the society, our life is more and more digital, with the development of science and technology, and remote education also became more and more popular. But now there is no complete popularity. In China, we are still in a traditional teaching primarily. Only some remedial class, may be online. In my opinion, distance education, advantages and disadvantages. Online teaching, teachers don't have to eat chalk. Such a body good. And do not go out and then can learn much knowledge, convenient. But, this only part of it to learn useful talent. Some people don't want to learn might just deal with the teacher just, and not himself to learn. You can call others generation homework to do. Because the teacher simply can't see, network after all is unreal.(本文素材来源于网络,如有侵权,请联系删除。

This novel was written by the distinguished French writer Alexandre Dumas Pere, the pioneer of the Romanticism Literature Movement in France. He was so popular that his works had been translated into several languages and welcomed by readers all over the world. This novel took 17th century Dutch bourgeois revolutionary period of intense political struggle and the turbulent life as its background. This gist of the story is as follows. The leading role Cornelius is a young doctor who completely doesn’t inquire about politics. He loves growing tulips and is trying to cultivate a black tulip without any other color on it at all. In order to obtain the considerable bonus offered by the government to the first man who cultivates the very kind of black tulip, Boxtel, Cornelius’neighbor, tries to destroy and steal the bulbs of Cornelius, even kill him. Fortunately, Cornelius in the prison gets acquainted with the prison-keeper’s daughter Rosa and they fall in love. Under Rosa’s help, Cornelius realized his dream and achieves happiness at last. It’s firmly believed by some people that when you become rich and successful, happiness will naturally follow. After reading this novel, I believe that nothing is further from the truth. To my mind, the secret to happiness lies in yoursuccessful work, in your contribution towards others’happiness and in your wealth you have earned through your own honest efforts.Firstly, in order to obtain happiness, you should achieve your successful work, in order to achieve your successful work, you should go through thick and thin. As the writer said, “those who have suffered much, have a right to be happy.” Take the two leading characters for example. They eventually reach happiness after suffering a lot both psychologically and physiologically. Secondly, your happiness should live in your contribution towards others’happiness, but not on the contrary, in destroying others’ happiness. If you get your happiness by taking advantage of others or by hurting others, you won’t be happy with it for long, at least, you won’t enjoy the real happiness. People will think you’re a mean person. Boxtel was a typical case. He would never gain happiness.Thirdly, wealth obtained through dishonest means doesn’t bring happiness. Happiness is not an end, it is a process. It’s a continuous process of honest and productive work which makes a real contribution to others and makes you feel you are a useful and worthy person. Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century. The reason is the nature ofgoodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded. The lousy driftage of strand of record 》I like to read the adventure novel specially, among them leaving for me impressive would be 《 the lousy driftage of strand of record 》。

Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is ahappy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself. To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back whe n others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that Ireally detest.Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to ___ those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain thenature of goodness.2.双城记After reading "A tale of two cities""A tale of two cities" is one of Dickens's most important representative works. The novel profoundly exposed the society contradiction before the FrenchRevolution, intensely attacks the aristocratic social class is dissolute and cruel, and sincerely sympathizes with the depressed classes. The novel also described many magnificent scenes like the revolt people attacked Bastille and soon, which displayed people's great strength. The novel has portrayed many different people. Doctor Mate is honest and kind but suffers the persecutionactually , Lucie is beautiful and gentle ,Charles is graceful and noble,Lorry is upright and honest ,Sydney is semblance of indifferent, innermost feelings ofwarm, unconventional but also selfless and lofty,Miss Pross is straightforward and loyal,Evremonde brothers are cruel and sinister......The plex hatred is hard to solve, the cruel revenge has made more hatreds, loves rebirth in the hell edge, but take the life as the price. As an outstanding writer,in Dickens's work, the language skill is essential. Each kind of rhetoric technique, like the analogy, the exaggeration, the contrast, the humorous, and the taunt are handled skillfully, and the artistry of the workis also delivered the peak."A tale of two cities" has its difference with the general historical novel, its character and the main plot are all fictionalizes. With the broad real background of the French Revolution, the author take the fictional character Doctor Mate's experience as the main clue, interweaves the unjustcharge, love and revenge three independences but also incident cross-correlation storiestogether, the plot is criss-crossed,and the clue is plex. The author use insert narrates, foreshadowing, upholstery and so many techniques, causes the structure integrity and strictness, the plot winding anxious and rich of theatrical nature,it displayed the remarkable artistic skill.the style "A tale of two cities" is solemnity and melancholy, fills indignantion, but lacks the humor of the early works.3. This year summer vacation, I read the American well-known writer Hemingway's novel " old person and sea ". Again has a look us, usually meets one slightly is difficult, we all plain incessantly. We will be the motherland future, will be supposed to like this old person same mind lofty aspiration, will even better pursue even better, the bigger goal. When I read " the big marlin start fast to gather round the young fishing boat hover, twined the cable on the mast, the old person right hand lifted up high the steel fork, leapt the water surface in it the flash, did utmost throws to its heart, one wail ended the big fish's life, it was static static floats on the water surface... " When, my heart also liked together the big stone falls. I extremely admire old person that kind do not dread, the relentless spirit, although knows the match strength is very strong, but he not slightly flinches, but is weles difficultly above. Just because had this kind of spirit, the senior fisherman only then achieved this life and death contest suess. But the big fish's meat was already eaten one most, but the old person also charmingly criticized oneselfthe left hand " this work time actually was resting " time, Ialso was subdued by the old person optimistic spirit. In the life, some losses are inevitable, we should treat by the optimistic manner, cannot be calculating. Finally, the novel sees by one youth the senior fisherman fully has 18 foot long big marlin in the measure, once more described this fish's hugeness, explained senior fisherman overes the difficulty was big, non- was more mon than. The novel eulogized the spirit which the senior fisherman fear hard and dangerous diligently did not struggle, we also should like his such, could not satisfy the present situation, should positively to above, do any matter all is relentless, meets difficultly must wele difficultly above, could give up halfway in no way. Only has this, we only then can obtain a bigger suess and the victory.4. To Regain the Nature of Goodness-- Review of ‘Oliver Twist’Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of thelife in Britain in 18th century.
