Good morning everyone. My name is 李先仁. I am an English major student from Beijing Normal University. It is my great honor to be here sharing my lesson with you. I hope I can make a good performance today. And the content of my lesson is from ( ). I will be ready to begin this lesson from five parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the studying methods, the teaching procedure, and the blackboard design. First, let me talk about the analysis of the teaching material.

Part1: analysis of the teaching material

I,Status and function:

This lesson as we all know, it is a reading passage. It plays an important part in the English learning of ( ). By learning this lesson, the students can develope their ability of reading and increase their interest in ( ). If the students can learn it well, it will be helpful to make them understand the rest of this unit. According to the new standard curriculum and syllabus, after analyzing the teaching material, I think the teaching aims and demands are the following.

II,Teaching aims and demands

1, Knowledge objects.

(1), the students can hear, read, and use main patterns, such as...

(2), the students can use these patterns to express their thoughts in the proper situations.

2,Ability objects.

(1) To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

(2) To train the Ss’ abilit ies of working in pairs.

3,Moral objects.

(1), By completing the tasks, the students can increase their interest in ( ) and set up their confidence in ( ).

(2), Teach the students know what ( ) is and put the moral education in the study of language.

III,Teaching key and difficult points

From my understanding, there are almost two teaching key and difficult points:

1, How to let the students retell this text by using their own words .

2, How to let the students make a dialogue by using the language points.

IV,The analysis of the students

The students, they have already known something about ( ), but they are lack

of vocabulary. And mostly, they will not use English to express their thoughts, because they are afraid of making mistakes.

Part2: the teaching methods

According to the analysis of the teaching material and the student s’learning background, I will mainly use the Total Situational Action method and the Task-based Language Teaching method. The former is a “scene —activity”teaching method. It establishes a real scene and the interaction between the teacher and the students . The latter offers the students an opportunity to complete the tasks in which students can use language to achieve some specific outcomes.

Part3:the studying methods

Some students are not active in the class, and some even don’t like English. Therefore, I will let the students study in a relaxed atmosphere. The students can understand the language points by listening speaking thinking and observing. After understanding the language points, I will let the students get knowledge by cooperative study. In a word, I will:

1, Teach the students how to be successful language leaners.

2, Let the students pass “Observation-Imitation-Practice” to study language.

Part4:the teaching procedure

I will finish my lesson in five steps. What comes first in the warming-up.

Step1: Warming-up

I will divide this class into four groups, and bring a competition into this class. So as to make the students name ( ). At last let’s see which group is the winner.

Purpose of my design: To make the students know something about the story of ( ) and understand the background of this passage better. Besides, I think proper competition can arouse the students interest in learning English.

Step2: Presentation

I’ll us e the CAI to present the language points, and arrange some situations to help the students understand the language points. I’ll write the key points on the blackboard while they are watching. After watching, I’ll teach them to read the se new words and make sure they can read and understand them well.

Purpose of my design:To present the language points by CAI is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. CAI can provide a real situation by its sound
