英语小故事：龟兔赛跑

My name is , from School. I’m a cute and energetic boy. I’m seven years

old. Today I want to tell you a story: The new story of the hare and the tortoise.

Last time, the hare failed in the race with the tortoise. He hopes to have another race with the tortoise.

One day, he meets the tortoise. He says, ‘Do you dare to have another race with me again? Last time I failed, because I was too proud. In fact, I can run faster than you. Let’s have a race again. OK?’ The tortoise agrees. So they invite Mr Bear to be the referee. When Mr Bear shoots the gun, they begin to run. The hare thinks, ‘I mustn’t stop. I must run quickly.’ They run and run. Suddenly, there i s a river in front of him. The river is deep and the hare can’t swim. ‘What should I do? The tortoise is coming. I’ll fail again.’ The hare is very worried.

After a while, the tortoise comes. He sees the hare and says, ‘Don’t worry. I can swim. Let me help you.’ The tortoise carries the hare on his back. They swim across the river together.

They run and run. There is a hill in front of them. The hill is so steep and the tortoise can’t climb up. The hare helps him climb the hill.

At last, the hare the tortoise reach the end together. Mr Bear holds their hands, saying happily, ‘You help each other. You are great. Now I declare: Both the hare the tortoise are winners!’
