所谓任务型语言教学,其核心思想就是 要模拟人们在社会、学校生活中人们运 用语言所从事的各类活动,把语言教学 与学习者在今后的日常生活中的语言应 用结合起来。任务型语言教学把人们在 社会生活中所做的事情细分为若干非常 具体的“任务”,并把培养学生具备完 成这些任务的能力作为教学目标。

通过这条主线,我们大致看出牛津教材 编写的思想,围绕话题内容的是一系列 的课堂活动和要求学生完成的任务,学 生通过体验、实践、参与、合作、交流 和探究等方式,学习和使用英语,真正 体现以学习者为中心的教学理念。功能、 语法和词汇是语言运用的重要基础,同 样得到应有的重视。教材将语言知识置 于生动的语言情景之中,使枯燥的语言 学习成为真实、有趣的实践活动。
