straight既是形容词又是副词。
23too much 修饰不可数名词，所以改为too many。
2424形容词变为副词其规则如下：①一般在形容词后直接加-ly。
如：great♑greatly, careful♑carefully ②弱读音节辅音字母加-y结尾的形容词，变y为i再加-ly。
如：happy♑happily, angry♑angrily ③以le结尾的形容词，去e加y。
如terrble♑terribly 但true这个词特殊情况，要去e加-ly。
25在弱读音节中辅音字加-y，结尾的形容词变为副词时，变y为i加-ly，但重读音节中辅音字母加-y结尾的形容词变为副词时，直接加-ly。
26汉语中“第二大、长、宽……”即指“第二个最大、长、宽……”，所以要用最高27修饰number一般用large, great, small等。
不能用many, few等。
28 little 系定语形容词，一般只能作定语，不作表语，如果作表语，表示“小的”应用small。
29 ill作“病的”讲，一般只作表语不作定语修饰名词。
sick作“病的”讲，可作表语，也可作定语，说“病人”就是sick people。
ill作定语时意为“不良的”、“坏的”。
30正:It is colder in Anhui than in Hainan in winter. 正: Anhui is colder than Hainan in winter. 此句是以两个地点为状语的天气的比较，而不能将安徽的天气同海南这一地点进行比较。
所比较的事物应是同类。
31 further是副词far的比较级形式，不能再加more，可用any修饰比较级。
32 much 一般修饰不可数名词，many 一般修饰可数名词，more than意为“比……多”，如果修饰不可数名词时用much more…than，修饰可数名词复数时应用many more…than。
这里应用many more修饰boys。
33修饰比较级时，通常用much, even, still, any, rather, a little, a bit, a lot,a great deal等，不用more。
34、35在同一范围内进行比较时，必须用other或else，将比较的一方排除在外，否则就不合逻辑。
通常在名词前面用other，在不定代词之后用else。
36句中比较的是猫的尾巴和兔子的尾巴，不能把猫的尾巴和兔子比，应用that指代尾巴，使比较的双方相对平衡。
37 that只能指代单数名词或代词，复数名词要用those指代。
