主谓一致的特殊形式

1. 用连词or, either…or, neither…nor,not only…but also 等连接的并列主语，谓语动词与靠近它的主语一致(也叫就近原则）。(包括There be 句形）

Not only my brother but also I am good at painting.

There is the Sun, the Moon and many stars in the sky.

2. 当名词词组中心词为表示度量、距离、时间、金钱、书名等复数名词时，常当作整体来看待，谓语动词用单数形式。

Three weeks is a long time to wait for an answer.

Forty miles英里is a long way to walk in a day.

3.由and 连接的并列单数主语前分别有every, each, no 修饰时, 谓语动词用单数。

In our country, each boy and each girl has the right to receive education.

4. 如果主语由more than one…或many a 构成，尽管意义上是表示复数内容，但谓语动词仍然用单数形式。

More than one person is against his plan.

Many a man thinks life is meaningless.

5. This kind of 后接单数或复数名词时,谓语动词都用单数形式; 但all kinds of 后接复数名词时,谓语动词则用复数形式。

This kind of men is dangerous.

All kinds of difficulties have been overcome.

6. all, most, half, rest等词做主语时，谓语动词的数要根据其意义而定。如果所指的是复数意义，谓语动词用复数形式；反之，则用单数。

All of us are eager to leave now.

Half of the water has been drunk.

“All _are_present and all _is__going on well.” our monitor said.

7. 当主语后面跟有as well as, along with, with, like, together with, but, except, besides, including, in addition to等引导的词组时, 其谓语动词与这些词组前面的主语保持一致。The girl as well as the boys has learned to drive a car.

Tom as well as two of his classmates was invited to the party.

8. 集合名词做主语时，如果把这个集合名词所代表的人或事物看作一个整体，谓语动词则用单数形式；如果把它所代表的人或事物看作个体，谓语动词则用复数形式。

The football team are having a bath.

The football team is a united one.

9. The+形容词表示一类人，如the blind （盲人），the living （生者），the dead（死者），the rich（富人），the poor（穷人），the young（年轻人），the old（老人）等，谓语动词用复数形式；表示抽象概念物或个别事物，如the unexpected（出乎意料的事），the unknown（未知的事）, the beautiful（美丽）等，谓语动词则用单数形式。

The old are well taken care of in China.

The beautiful is loved by all.

10. 从句做主语时，谓语动词通常用单数形式；但所指的内容是复数意义时，谓语动则用复数形式。

What we need is more time.

What we need are more people.

How close parents are to their children has a strong influence on the character of the children.
