风寒指数
风寒效应原理是热量转移,当风速加快时,风会带走裸露皮肤上的热量,因此,皮肤在有风的状态下失温速度比无风的状态下快。
例如,在温度是-10°F(-23°C),风速是每小时25英里(40公里)时,如表B-1所示,风寒指数为-37°F(-38°C);换言之,虽然温度为-10°F,但裸露肌肤感受到的温度相当于-37°F,在这种情况下裸露皮肤,会在10分钟内被冻伤。
要注意的是,风寒效应只会对裸露的皮肤有伤害,若穿着合适的衣物,并遵循分层穿衣的原则,你就不会受到风寒效应的影响。
酷热指数
酷热指数是一种综合空气温度和相对湿度来确定体感温度的指数,即真正感受到的温度。
人体通过排汗来达到降温的目的,相对湿度会影响汗液蒸发率。
从表C-1中明显看出:相对湿度越大,感知温度越高。
例如,如果空气温度是90°F(32°C),相对湿度是40%,则感知温度为91°F(33°C);而当相对湿度为90%时,感知温度将达到122°F(50°C)。
在高温与高湿度的环境中,人如果过度疲劳很可能导致身体过热。
这会引发一系列的问题,诸如热痉挛或中暑虚脱。
