PEP BOOK 8 Unit 2 What’s the matter , Mike?

( PartA Lesson one)

Good morning teachers. Now I’m going to talk about my teaching design. I divide it into 5 parts.

一、The teaching material(教材分析)

My lesson is about Unit2 of《PEP Primary English Book 8 》.This lesson is about word teaching(单词教学) and sentence patterns(句型教学) ,Which includes two parts: A.Let’s learn and Let’s play. It can train the students’abilities of the listening, speaking,reading and writing.

二、The students(学情分析)

The students I teach are in Grade 6. They have learned English for three years .They have some basic English knowledge, but some of them are also poor in reading and writing .

(一)Teaching aims (教学目标)

(1) To enable the students to listen , speak , read , write and use new words :have a cold, have a toothache, have a fever, hurt, have a headache, have a sore throat.

(2) To enable the students to listen , speak and understand the sentence patterns: “ What’s the matter, Mike? I feel sick. I have a fever.”and use it correctly.

(二). The key-points of this lesson(重点)

The students study and use some new words :have a cold, have a toothache, have a fever, hurt, have a headache, have a sore throat.and the sentence patterns: “What’s the matter, Mike? I feel sick. I have a fever.”Improve their abilities of listening,speaking and reading . (三). Difficult points(难点)

The students can understand the meaning of the new sentence patterns and use them in situations correctly.

三、Teaching methods and learning methods.(教学互动及教具)

TPR、games、situational teaching methods、cooperation and encouraging evaluation are used in my whole class.Students say the chant ,do “TPR”,play games and cooperate with their partners.It can arouse students’interests.

四、Talk about teaching procedure.(教学过程及设计意图)

Step1. Warm –up(热身)

Say the chant. “What’s your mother? She is a doctor.”

Step2. Presentation(呈现新知)

(1)通过教师展示呈现。

(2)通过学生观察图片说病症教师板书新词。

What’s the mat ter?

I feel sick.

(3)教新词举例说明。

Step3. Drill and practice(单词和句型的操练练习环节)

(1)单词操练练习:设计意图

①TPR"Listen and Do"

②Game "Who is Lucy?"

③Game "Can you find?"

(2)句型操练练习:

①Say Chant. (设计意图:通过此方式代替机械地领读,让学生在激情盎然中掌握新句型。)

②“Guessing Game”(设计意图:通过此游戏来检测学生是否已经掌握了目标语言。)

Step4. Extension(拓展练习部分)

(1) 表演情景剧(设计意图:这部分的设计用来检测学生是否能在真实语境中使用目标语言,也训练了学生使用语言的能力,培养学生合作意识。)

(2) 让学生帮朋友写请假条(设计意图:写作部分的设计是用来训练六年级学生的写作能力,培养孩子们帮助他人的情感。)

五、Talk about thinking of my teaching(教学反思)

In this lesson, I used TPR ,Games and so on to attract stu dents’ interests . It trains students’ abilities of listening , speaking , reading and writing. The shortcomings of my lesson is in the writing process, because we have no more time to pay attention to the weaker students , I think , after class ,
