作为一名学生,在阅读时难免会碰到生词,但我们要做到不急、不怕。
在亲身的学习中对如何更好地运用构词法有所体会,现就构词法在英语与阅读理解的关系及其运用进行归纳总结,与同学分享。

一、构词法运用的现状1.在英语学习过程中,对构词法不熟练、不重视;对遇到的生词没有多加探究,分析它的构成,只是单纯记忆,使得阅读文章读起来吃力,明明很努力,但成绩终不尽如人意。
2.英语单词本身在组成上的相似结构使得同学们容易混淆,运用不当反而增大了英语学习的阻力,挫伤了积极性。
3.对于英语考试,因为没有真正掌握构词法而最终导致阅读不理解、作文表达困难的现象还比较普遍。
二、运用构词法的意义英语的学习需要对文章掌握理解及运用的能力。
而二者之间的联系正是需要词汇量的积累,包括词汇容量、提取量等等。
构词法也恰好为这一积累提供了捷径。
三、高效运用构词法的策略首先,构词法包含的方式有很多,以下策略仅包含了我认为适合我们学生的部分。
1.围绕词根,联想想象。
英语单词往往由一个词根演变而成。
我们所看到的一些长单词,比如:p re h i sto r y、disappearance、extrabright这些单词其实都是由一个我们熟悉的单词加上一个前缀构成的,如果我们运用构词法将它们拆分开来,不难理解它们的含义:pre-译为前、预先;dis-译为不,无,相反,取消;extra-译为以外、超过。
这些前缀加上剩下的三个我们常见的单词(历史、出面、光亮)就组成了新的单词,将两个含义结合起来,我们不难知道三个单词的意思其实是:史前、消失、特别光亮的。
构词法的使用使得我们背单词变得更加简单,因为当我们知道了某一前缀之后,便可以根据这一词缀与我们知道的一些单词联系起来,举一反三,并可以自行利用工具书,证明自己的联想想象是否正确。
