Once upon a time, there was a little red hen who lived on a farm. One day, she found some grains of wheat in the field. She decided to plant them and asked her animal friends for help.
She asked the dog, “Will you help me plant the wheat?” The dog replied,“No, I won’t.”
She asked the cat, “Will you help me plant the wheat?” The cat replied, “No, I won’t.”
She asked the pig, “Will you help me plant the wheat?” The pig replied, “No, I won’t.”
So, the little red hen planted the wheat all by herself. She took care
of the wheat until it grew into tall stalks of wheat.
When the wheat was ready to be harvested, the little red hen asked her animal friends for help again.
She asked the dog, “Will you help me harvest the wheat?” The dog replied, “No, I won’t.”
She as ked the cat, “Will you help me harvest the wheat?” The cat replied, “No, I won’t.”
She asked the pig, “Will you help me harvest the wheat?” The pig replied, “No, I won’t.”
So, the little red hen harvested the wheat all by herself. She turned
the wheat into flour and baked a delicious loaf of bread.
Finally, when the bread was ready, the little red hen asked her animal friends if they wanted to share it.
The dog, the cat, and the pig all exclaimed, “Yes, we do!”
But the little red hen said, “No, I won’t shar e the bread with you. I planted the wheat, I harvested it, and I baked the bread all by myself. If you want bread, you should have helped me.”
The little red hen enjoyed her bread all by herself, and her animal friends learned an important lesson about the value of hard work and cooperation.
小故事二:The Tortoise and the Hare(乌龟和兔子)
Once upon a time, there was a hare who loved to show off his speed. He boasted to everyone that he was the fastest animal in the forest.
One day, a tortoise overheard the hare’s boa stful words. The tortoise, being slow but wise, challenged the hare to a race.
The hare laughed and said, “Are you serious? You think you can beat me in a race? I will win without even trying.”
They agreed on a race route and the next day, all the animals in the forest gathered to see the race.
The race started, and the hare quickly darted ahead, leaving the tortoise far behind. The hare was so confident in his speed that he decided to take a nap under a shady tree.
Meanwhile, the tortoise continued to walk slowly but steadily towards the finish line. The other animals cheered for the tortoise, amazed by his determination.
When the hare woke up from his nap, he saw the tortoise near the finish line. He hurriedly started running, but it was too late. The tortoise crossed the finish line and won the race.
The other animals congratulated the tortoise, and the hare learned a valuable lesson about overconfidence.

One day, a lion was sleeping peacefully in the forest. While he was sleeping, a little mouse accidentally ran across his nose.
