Nowadays there is a growing concern for observing the western festivals. Many people hold the views that we should not observing the western festivals for protecting our traditional culture, defending western culture ruling and so on. But for me, I believe that we should observing the western festivals and there are some reason for this.
To start with, to observing the western festival is of great importance for China to go global. In this way China can learn more about western culture and tradition. Secondly, it makes it convenient for confirms to sale different products and help to promote the development of Chinese economy. Moreover, it plays a increasingly important role in the development of Chinese traditional culture in the background of going global. Only by learning widely from other country’s good culture can we make Chinese traditional culture developing constantly. Of course, when we observing the western festivals, it is essential that we young people should insist Chinese culture in the center of our heart and be cared not be affected by the bad western festival and culture.
From all the reason above, it is evident that we should celebrate western festivals while upholding the dominant position of traditional culture.。
